Charles Aznavour was fabulous even at 92!!! I'm so glad I went to see him!!!
Great songs and a 92 year old singer that still has genuine charisma. The whole audience was totally enthralled.
Mr. Aznavours' performance was magical to say the least. At 92, his presence on that stage was a message to everyone that with age he is just that much better. He is an inspiration to all.
I was thinking if i ever would had a chance for enjoying Charle Aznavour live in concert. And dreams come true in Hollywood at Pantages theatre.
I was thrilled to see Aznavour perform. I was, however, disappointed that he sung many of his famous French songs in English. Had I known this prior to purchasing $350 worth of tickets, I may have reconsidered.
We enjoyed the show very much. It was amazing to see how a healthy 90 year old could have so much energy. Very inspiring. We love C. A. and listen to he music all the time. It was a real treat to see him live.
At 92 years he is still doing it and doing it well! Outstanding concert experience!
A singer still entertaining people at 92 years of age is just amazing. I saw his farewell concert 12 years ago and it was great back then. Now I am in awe. Charles Aznavour is the ARTIST !!
What a great show! He sang so many of his greatest hits. His stories were fantastic and humorous as well. Only one very surprising part of the concert was that he did no encore or sing one of his most popular songs (Emmenez-moi). The crowd was chanting for this song as well! This would be like Sinatra not singing 'My Way', in my opinion. Other than that, it was great to see this wonderful international legend in concert!
We were a bit concerned about his age, but Aznavour still has his great voice as he demonstrated in the show for almost two hours. And he was very engaging with the audience. Keep bringing this type of performers. I would like to see some Latin American like Juanes, Luis Miguel, Alejandro Filio and Fernando Delgadillo, but I would be super pleased with Maxime Leforestier.
Charles Aznavour was amazing. Charles engaged the audience as soon as he came on the stage. He made some practical jokes too. The man sang for two hours without interruption. He sang in English, French and Spanish. He sang all my favorites: Yesterday when I was Young (in English) La Boheme *(in French & of course tossed his handkerchief into the audience) and he opened with "She" The audience was clapping and shouting Bravo!! all the time. This man is the consummate performer. He is truly the "French Frank Sinatra" Don't miss the chance to see him.
He is a force of nature & his energy is contagious. I loved the duo with Katia & every song in any language he sung in (eng, french, italian, spanish) even if I prefer French because this is the language he composed them in & the language I learned them all in as a kid. I was not a fan of the lights effects which sometimes were directed at & blinding the audience. His voice has definitely changed (less force) & his focus oriented toward aging & nostalgia. But his performance was fantastic. I liked that he did not even bothered to translate from French the words he forgot the English translation for when he was explaining things.
Wow... he was great... voice still sounds the same as when he was 30... can't wait to see him again... don't miss it if you have an opportunity to see him.
He sang mostly in English. I wish he did more in French
Absolutely a most amazing and dynamic performance. Charles Aznavour's voice was the voice of him as a young man: powerful, dynamic, evocative and moving. He sang for two hours and never left the stage, alternating from French, to English, to Italian to Spanish. He was moving, emotionally touching, and mesmerizing. His more than ten member ensemble, including a classical pianist, a fabulous drummer, three great singers, bassist and guitarist, was the best. And the staging, lights, ability to transform the stage from cabaret, to night sky, to flamenco oranges, to steely desolate staging was also fabulous. Each song Azanour sang had a different stage effect. It was more than a Five Star performance. It was a once-in-a-lifetime production with a man who voice reached deep into seventy years of memories and carried us with him into love, loneliness, joy and hope. Simply marvelous! Simply amazing! Simply Azanour!
Despite being 92, he performed for nearly two hours without a break or even a sip of water! His voice is still quite good, and he also dances. He sang in French, English, Spanish and Italian. I only wish certain songs, such as Hier encore, would have been sung in French. Bravo to him!
It has being my dream as long as I remember to go to Charles Aznavour concert. He is just amazing!. There is no words to describe how wonderful his voice is. If you have a chance just go and you won't regret it. .
This show had so much emotion and power. It was the kind of show that provoked tears, joy and laughter all at the same time. This 92 years young eminence sang for an entire 120 minutes, opened and closed his own show, danced and entertained beyond. The energy of this man on stage, just left us all reflecting how a real life is one lived doing what you love. absolutely amazing!
Aznavour is unbelievable! It is hard to believe this man is 92 and able to stand for hours while singing song after song, and remembering these songs in different languages. The voice is not the same, but his music is much more than a voice. My mother introduced me to his music during my teens, and I've loved him ever since.
At the beginning of the concert , Mr. Aznavour told the audience his age (92 years old) and he apologized in advance during his performance that he may miss or forget some lyrics. His performance has exceeded my expectation.A person is blessed to live to see so many changes in the world.
