Chance the Rapper on Tour
A live show from Chance the Rapper is a burst of sheer exuberance. The streaming-generation superstar and his powerhouse band blaze through a discography that's full of signature moments like "Angels," "Blessings" and "Same Drugs," as well as the songs he co-created with Kanye West and DJ Khaled. With a small ensemble of singers giving his set a gospel energy, it's a joyous, explosive performance. Chance originally got his tour legs opening shows on Childish Gambino's 2012 Camp Gambino Tour, but was soon launching treks of his own, including 2013's Social Experiment Tour, 2015's Family Matters Tour, 2016's Magnificent Coloring World Tour and 2017's Be Encouraged Tour. In 2017, Chance hit the festival circuit for a victory lap, appearing at Bonnaroo, Firefly, Hangout, Wireless, Essence Music Festival, Governors Ball, Sasquatch!, Boston Calling and Eaux Claires. That August, he headlined Lollapalooza in his Chicago hometown.
Chance the Rapper in Concert
Beam of hip-hop sunshine Chance the Rapper is one of the greatest independent success stories in the history of popular music — a chart-topping, Grammy-winning, festival-headlining, Saturday Night Live–hosting sensation, all without the help of a traditional record label. Born Chancelor Jonathan Bennett in Chicago, Chance began his rap dreams after hearing fellow Windy City rhymer Kanye West on the radio, and purchasing his debut album in fourth grade. In his senior year of high school he began work on his debut mixtape, 2012's 10 Day — named after he received a 10-day suspension. In 2013, he released the critically acclaimed Acid Rap, ending up on year-end lists for Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and Complex. The following year he turned up on the cover of the XXL Freshmen issue. After his collaborations on Kanye West's The Life of Pablo, Chance released Coloring Book in 2016 — together the two releases garnered him seven Grammy nominations and three wins. His 2017 collaboration with DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne and Quavo, "I'm the One" was the No. 1 song in the country. After years of conquering the industry with downloadable and streaming mixtapes, he finally released a traditional retail album, The Big Day, in 2019.

Such an amazing night. This was my second time seeing chance live and he always puts on a great show. The vibes were great and the production was spectacular! I can’t wait for him to perform again in New York!
My family and I traveled from Ghana, West Africa to see Chance perform. This would be our second time seeing him. Chance and Vic Mensa put on a spectacular concert in Ghana, for the Black Star Line Festival; this performance in Brooklyn was just as special. I would recommend people to support both Chance and Vic.
So great to hear the throwbacks that I had to see it twice! Went to Chicago show and Brooklyn. Openers were fun and Chance was great, lots of energy on stage. Loved to see it
One of the best events I've ever gone to.. maybe top 3
Chance was fantastic. Live band, the background singers were phenomenal. Overall great time and fun show.
I just went to see the Acid Rap 10-year anniversary concert in NY. I went alone (for the 3rd time!), but that didn't matter because I ALWAYS make a friend. For some great reason, Chance draws the best crowd of any concert I've ever been to in all my years of concert going. I really mean this. The energy is always heightened as if Christ is literally there with us creating/curating the atmosphere. If you have the opportunity to see him (HIS SHOW, or even a festival) GO!!! Pay what you need to pay and GO. You will NOT be disappointed. I've never been disappointed once. Shout-out to you, Chance! ps- he has the best quality merch -- seriously!
I loved this concert. Loved this mixtape when I was 17/18
I loved every second of this concert including the energy, the performances and the Love for sure.
This is the worst venue for a concert that I have ever been to. I went with my husband and 2 friends to see Chance the Rapper on 8/26, a Saturday night. One positive note was that we were able to find free street parking <10 min. walking from the arena. The rest was downhill! The lines for merch and drinks were insanely long - it took us more than 20 minutes to get a drink and we never went back for a second due to wait times. The concourse is super narrow and moving through was extremely difficult for an almost sold-out show. There is 1 escalator for the entire second level that goes in 1 direction until the end of the show when it switches directions. It was honestly almost comical how terrible the layout is. Lastly, the worst part of all, the sound is atrocious. We were in the 200's and all we could hear was blown out bass that was so distorted we could hear the walls vibrate behind us. We could barely hear any vocals, it was super fuzzy, and everyone around us was commenting on how poor the sound quality was/how we couldn't understand anything the artist was saying. Total waste of money and ruined a show I was really looking forward to seeing (and traveled 2.5 hours for).
Best live show I’ve ever been to. Please keep bringing Chance back.
I had an amazing time seeing Chance. I love youuuuuu #AcidRap10
Flew all the from Upstate NY to support Chance in his hometown! He has so much love in the Chi and it shows! United Center was SOLD OUT and packed with so much love and support for Chance. He deserves it all 🫶🏽 I grew up listening to him and I feel so lucky to experience him in person! I can’t wait to come back ❤️
I flew from LA to Chicago just to experience his show in his home town and it was everything. We met him at his pop up merch store. We had floor seats so we had an awesome view. The show surpassed my expectations. It was moving and emotional, at least for me. It was an amazing experience.
Awesome show, exceeded expectations. Enjoyed his set more than his Coloring Book tour. Chicago vibes were flowing.
Chance was an incredible performer with great energy! The United Center was the perfect venue and the event was run well. All the Chicago guests made the night even more memorable, and he took us all on a trip down memory lane with his rendition of The Arthur Theme Song by Ziggy Marley!
This was a night to remember!! Opening set by our own Saba!! Then Chance The Rapper gave one of the best performances ever!! The whole concert experience rivaled the Acid Rap concert experience 10 years ago. The difference being the unmistakable growth & maturity that adds even more flavor to the mix!! Chance has an electrifying & uplifting energy that keeps the party going!! I want to give a big “Thank You” to Chance, Peter, Nico & Stix for bringing the joy over the years!!
Thankful he showed up on time. Lights were really bright could have turned down a bit. Wish there was an encore
Chance put on a great show, had a lot of hometown love, and kept the vibes immaculate through the entire night
He did exactly what was expected. The show was everything!!
Chance was very high energy and appreciates his fans! I didn’t want it to end!! Hopefully we get a show for 10 day. I will be attending!
