It was a fun match. How I wish I was notified the change in the line up.

I was disappointed in the quality of tennis. Mostly I was disappointed that Borg wasn't there and he was advertised. Todd Martin is not exactly an equal substitution. It would have been nice if the players had mics on. No one above the floor seats could hear what they were saying and that would have made it a little more fun. I thought the player's commentary was staged and a little forced. Really unfortunate.

It was fun to see some players play who played most of their careers before I really watched tennis. I was a little bummed Borg did not show up. I would definitely go again.

    champion series

by sensa on 10/24/11United Center - Chicago

We thought there was a little to much hipe. Also the music was way too loud and the announcer talked too loud. This is a sporting event. People that attend sporting event do not need all the bells and whistles. We enjoy the activity itself.

    Where was Borg?

    by JSS1x on 10/24/11United Center - Chicago

I enjoyed the matches very much. Todd Martin is a very capable tennis player who I admire a great deal, but the event was advertised to include Bjorn Borg who is one of my all time favorites. There was no explanation as to his absence and why Martin was substituted.

It was a thrill to see these tennis greats. There was a little too much goofing around amongst the players, but the championship match was more serious and proved that these guys still can strut their stuff!

    Great tennis event!

by PurdueGirl on 10/24/11United Center - Chicago

All players were fun to watch. I liked that they could relax and play some good tennis while getting some friendly banter in as well. I would recommend putting a small microphone on the players as it was hard to hear some of the things they were saying if you were sitting farther away. Overall, great event! I will definitely look to go again in the future.

    Agassi was awesome

    by Onyx123 on 10/24/11United Center - Chicago

I would recommend any tennis fanatic to go see the Championship series. It was awesome seeing my favorite players. The play was great!! Loved the way they were light hearted but seriously stroking the ball, interacting with the ball kids and fans. Would have loved to have a more organized autograph opportunity. The player didn't stick around long to give fans the option. Overall it was a life experience I will never forget.

Great to see tennis in Chicago. It was a relaxed atmosphere and there were some great rallies and shotmaking. All 4 gentlemen added humor. Agassi is quite a showman, and I enjoyed him the most. Thanks to Todd Martin for stepping in for Borg. It's amazing and inspiring how these 4 stay fit and playing at this level. Thanks for bringing this event to Chicago.

    High Quality Tennis from Oldtimers

by Ndnsouljaa on 10/23/11United Center - Chicago

Though I saw three great matches, because it was advertised that Bjorn Borg would be playing, we would have all liked more of a heads-up that he was not going to be there and that Todd Martin would instead be taking his place. Those of us that spent $7 Insurance on the tickets, may have then decided to cancel going and gotten our money back. Todd Martin is not nearly as great a draw as Bjorn Borg. The other negative part was that the matches started a little after 8pm, though on the ticket it said it would be starting at 7:30 and since the players did not have mics wired to themselves it was very hard to hear them. That being said, McEnroe, Agassi, and Courier were in full display as their charismatic selves and played to the crowd too. It was great tennis and we got to see the flashes of brilliance that made each of them former World #1's. They all took time and signed autographs with the fans and depending on the players, I would definitely recommend going to an event.

    Golden oldies

    by 10s4fun2 on 10/23/11United Center - Chicago

This was a fun event. Besides seeing good tennis, the pros added some comedy to make it more fun. We would like to see the event come to Houston. The only negatives were that it didn't start on time and the music was too loud.

I hated the music that was played and it was so loud that it ruined the event. Most of the people who came to watch were not 25. the music was awful and way too loud so I would not come again. Also the food at United center is terrible. Can't they get some healthier options?

Chicago is in need of a yearly pro tennis event, and this is a good start! Johnny Mac is the best!

big time tennis returns and was fabulous

by Anonymous on 10/22/11United Center - Chicago

The players really made it more fun with a lot of humor and interaction with crowd, in addition to all out effort.

Loved seeing Andre- hope he comes back next year!

by anandrefan on 10/22/11United Center - Chicago

We had a great evening at the United Center. Hard to believe how well those guys can still play good tennis- and entertain the crowd at the same time. It was good to see Andre especially. His smile made the 5-hour trip to Chicago worthwhile. It was a little disappointing not to see Bjorn Borg, as advertised, but Todd Martin was a good sub.

Great event, even with seats in the second level. The big screen helped us see the players faces. A microphone would have been nice to hear what the players were saying, but that would also hurt their game.

    Champions Series

by SEGGIE on 10/22/11United Center - Chicago

First of all, it was billed as Agassi, McEnroe, Courier and Borg, but when they arrived, Borg was replaced by Todd Martin. He's a Northwestern graduate, so he has a Chicago fan base, but it wasn't who you said it would be. It was great to see John McEnroe, but his game obviously has changed since he played on the tour. Both John and Todd used more spin shots and less power, which was a little disappointing, but I have to say that John was the only one who came to net regularly. The power and quickness came in the final pro set match with Courier and Agassi. However, because the event started a half hour late (should have begun as billed at 7:30 p.m.), we didn't get out of there until after 11 p.m. on a weeknight with almost an hour to drive home. The ball girls and boys were embarrassing. The sideline judges were not good either. These people can't be volunteers, they need to be experienced. I'm not sure about the judges, but the ball girls and boys had no idea where they should be nor where the balls should be. I felt badly for the players that they had to "help" them out at times. The seating in the end zones in the United Center were not pitched as high as on the sides so the people in the next row prevented us from seeing well. We were only 7 rows from the front, but were forced to look up at the jumbo-tron to see the matches. Not good. I wouldn't put any seating on the end zones in the United Center for that fact alone.
