About

Shepherd's Bush rapper Central Cee, aka Cench, released his debut mixtape 'Wild West' last March, and has already bagged two MOBOs, three Brit nominations, three UK top 10 singles and over 800m global streams. However, his success didn't happen overnight.

Heavily influenced by his dad's reggae, hip-hop and dancehall record collection, he made his grime debutback in 2017 with the slow-paced, auto-tune-heavy 'Over You' and has since showed his versatility with a move towards UK drill. Though not completely dropping the melodic grime-esque flow sensibilities, his focus now rests on concise, straight-talking lyricism circling the social issues facing those around him.

Mid-2020 saw the first signs of Central Cee's new drill outlook, with the release of 'Day In The Life' drawing in Big Sean as a fan. But it was single 'Loading' with its warming saxophone overlaidon bouncing beats and hard-hitting bars about the realities of growing up in West London that catapulted him to success on TikTok. Cench is now well acquainted with making viral hits, 'Obsessed With You', sampling PinkPantheress' equally-as-viral 'Just For Me', stayed in the UK top 10 for 17 weeks, while 'Commitment Issues' has amassed nearly 75m streams to date and is BPI-certified Gold.

Continuing his reign as global breakthrough champion of drill and UK rap, Cee kicked off 2022 with 'Retail Therapy', taken off his upcoming mixtape '23'. The energetic flows and colourful anecdotes build on the success of 'Wild West', which was the UK's best-selling debut album of 2021.

    I love you so much, Cench.

    I am proud to say I am Central Cee's #1 fan. I would literally die if he announced a show in Michigan. His music is one of a kind and he never misses. Even if he comes to Canada just know, I am there. Yes, I would make a 3 hour drive just to see him. Cench has a distinctive flow, followed by his premium beats and well thought out lyrics. His music is a true blessing, a blessing that I deserve to hear in real time. I don't care of he is preforming "In or Out", "Suicide", or maybe even "Good Girl". (All in which are from his "17"album released in 2017.) I will be there. I envy anyone who has attended anyone of these concerts because none of you guys will know Cench or understand his lyrics the way I do. So, Central Cee, if you or anyone on your team sees this, COME TO MICHIGAN. Please, I need to hear and see you preform in realtime while still being in the comfort of my home state. I love you bro.

    Hate love experience

    I loved Central Cee but I hated the venue. His concert should have pit and seats because throughout the entire concert I was being pushed and getting overheated to the point where I was going to pass out. If there were a seat option for this concert the entire experience would’ve been a 10/10 but it was 6/10 for me.

    Wednesday, February 22 was the best day of my life. I attended the central cee concert in Boston. As Central Cee's #1 fan, he did not disappoint. The crowd didn't know some of the songs, but I did. He even performed ruby, which is my favorite song. ALSO, let me tell you abt how I manifested this concert.. stg on Feb 22 last year I wrote in my notes "central see is coming to Boston" like 100 times, then he announced the tour on my bday (august 1st). Aside from my delusions, the concert was great and central cee is an amazing performer, you should definitely buy tickets to his shows!

    Was great when he actually came on

    Got bit of good footage, had to wait almost 3 hours before he actually came on though, had a dj as a substitute to a support act or two & even though he did put on a show when he eventually came on at birmimgham there were moments where i felt i had to film just to physically see him performing as the event was packed and people obviously jumping in excitement for that matter so couldnt really seem him half the time but other than i give 3 stars for actually coming unlike some artists who have been known to cancel last minute lol
