The best part of this opera is the Orchestra, everything else is above average. The show can use voice Amplifier to avoid people falling sleep and I mean it literally; the senior behind me was snoring. Mise en scene could have been better especially with so little props used that remind you of school plays. Casting was only 50% good if you know what I mean.
Excellent mise en scène by the students at the U of T! The performances were superb and the orchestra spotless! I look forward to their next project!
This production was incredibly well sung, played, and acted. In addition, it was obvious that there was a clear vision for the production which came across beautifully through the costumes, set, and lighting. The interpretation was both creative and memorable without distracting from the story. Wonderful production.
