THE CELTIC TENORS

Touring Australia – 2019

When you put together three brilliant Tenor voices with natural Irish charm, singing spine-tingling Classical, Folk, Irish, Gaelic and Pop favourites in stacked three-part harmonies, then mix them up with quick witted banter, you have THE CELTIC TENORS.

The charismatic, globe-trotting trio are the most successful classical crossover artists ever to have come out of Ireland.

They just sing songs they love and they most certainly don’t take themselves too seriously.  It’s all about the music, the harmonies and the fun.

Three unique solo voices, but when called upon – one tenor sound!

The Celtic Tenors will perform The Irish Songbook on their Australian and New Zealand tour with such classics as Finnegan’s Wake, In The Gloaming, Song For Ireland, Danny Boy, The Dutchman, Caledonia, You Raise Me Up and many more favourites.

With a polished international reputation and just over a million album sales world-wide, The Celtic Tenors offer something truly unique. The skill, range and ability of world-class tenors combined with the personality and fun of genuine Irish performers.

    Holiday Music???

by mollysmomm on 12/6/10Ryan Center - Kingston

Although we enjoyed thier superb music, we both would have like much more HOLIDAY music - Irish or otherwise -- to have been included! There were a FEW holiday songs, but a few too few!!! And, they promoted their new (and old) CD's WAY too often -- although i understand that it is necessary to do occasionally. They also ENDED with a rather ODD choice: personally, I forgot WHAT it was, but it was neither Irish nor Holiday....it would have been wonderful to at least END the night with a HOLIDAY song, or an IRISH one...or better still, an Irish Holiday one! So...you get my point: I THOUGHT that this was billed as a Celtic Tenors Holiday show!!! Enjoyed their music -- would have preferred different choices of music selections for the season.

A Wonderful Concert By Celtic Tenors

by VampireQueenAkasha on 12/7/09BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

I love these guys. This was a great concert. Great guys. Lovely Irish accents when they spoke. Wonderful, warm, funny personalities. Excellent music selection. Beautiful voices. Perfectly blended harmonies. They even did audience participation and let us sing, too. They did all types of music and not just Irish or Celtic stuff. Very good selection, which will appeal to many music lovers. I got these tickets for my boyfriend, who is Irish, as a birthday gift. We both enjoyed it. A few times they actually had people crying at some of their heartfelt renditions and the warmth by which they sung them. They also had people dancing in their seats and clapping to some of the livelier songs. Would definitely see them again. They got a standing ovation and truly deserved it! They made an entire theater full of people feel right at home. Oh yeah, great piano player and some good old-fashioned guitar playing.

    on balance, good

by vocalmusic on 12/7/09B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

The group started a little slow, frankly. Several arrangements called for them to go beyond their impressive ranges, and individually they struggled a bit. Going falsetto when they have such substantial natural ranges, in particular, was a bit much. They performed several crowd pleasing and lively Irish favorites, and as the evening went on, their arrangements and their voices seemed to work much better together. Several operatic numbers, in particular, enabled them to blend and harmonize wonderfully. On balance, harmonies and unison singing became warm and sharp as the evening went on. This was a good concert, but not a great one.

    Celtic Tenors Phenominal

by Rollaway on 12/6/09Showcase Live - Foxboro

The Celtic Tenors were just plain wonderful. These three gentlemen brought down the hose with their perfect vocals, humerous asides and charming performances. All of the tunes were perfect and the accompaniment with just piano or guitar was tasteful and inobtrusive. What's more, these guys can sing.. On several acapella numbers their voices were as clear as a bell and strong enough so that they didn't need microphone as they proved to us on one number. They also varied their routine so that the variety of music was not boring - some holiday numbers, some Celtic, some classical/opera and some pop were all a part of their 2 plus hour set. If you are interested in listening to unadulturated talent that needs no histrionics, embellishments or fireworks to make an impression, then I would recommend seeing the Celtic Tenors. Also wonderful was the venue - Showcase Live at the Gilette Complex in Foxboro. Wonderful set up - every seat has a perfect view. Top notch accoustics and large screens so you can check out things in more detail. The food and drinks were also great and reasonable and the staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. A good place to consider when you want to see talent but don't want to be in a stadium. Wonderful evening.
