Cedric The Entertainer on Tour
It's easy to see how Cedric Antonio Kyles, famously known as Cedric The Entertainer, earned his name over the last several decades. The American actor, comedian, producer, and TV show host has spent decades delivering laughs on stages big and small. Cedric is best known for his side-splitting standup material while touring as one of the Original Kings of Comedy, a series Spike Lee later compiled into a film for America to enjoy in 2000. The powerhouse comedian is also loved for co-starring on "The Steve Harvey Show" -- a role that won an NAACP award for Best Supporting Actor. You might also know him as the lead character, Eddie Walker, in Barbershop, or as the host of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" from 2013-'14. Cedric's other projects include five seasons on the CBS sitcom "The Neighborhood," the show "Johnson" on Bounce TV, and his own HBO comedy special. Now, you can see Cedric The Entertainer live on tour as he goes back to his roots, performing hilarious standup comedy across the country.
Cedric The Entertainer Live
This happily married father of three was born on April 24, 1964, in Jefferson City, Missouri. His keen sense of style and uncanny ability to rock a hat with every ensemble started in high school when Cedric developed a severe rash on his head -- something he has said he is no longer embarrassed by but instead proud of. After receiving a degree from Southeastern Missouri State and bouncing between jobs, he decided to pursue comedy full-time in Los Angeles, where he now lives with his family. There, he'd become a major player in the 1990s Era of Hip Hop Comedy, helping to transform what initially began as an experiment into an unforgettable experience as Black comics got their voice on stage. While still an emerging talent, Cedric hosted BET's "ComicView" in 1993-'94 and "Def Comedy Jam" in 1995 before co-starring on the WB sitcom and appearing in the Spike Lee documentary. Cedric expanded his acting career while pursuing comedy and landed in films such as Big Momma's House, Get Smart, Be Cool, and Code Name: The Cleaner. The Entertainer lent his comedic voice to characters in Ice Age, Madagascar series, and Charlotte's Web. A true, all-around performer and a cultural icon, he's appeared on Broadway, in two multi-platinum albums, as the lead comedian at the White House Correspondents Dinner, and was even featured as a character in a video game. You won't want to miss your chance to see Cedric The Entertainer live on tour.
My date and I really enjoyed the show. 10 stars!!!
A fantastic lineup of the best of the best!! Only wished we had more of Cedric as the last standup. Hope it gets to be available on stream or something. Want to watch again!!
Cedie is always a class act!!!! One thing he's going to do is have your stomach hurting
Every member of the tour had the audience in stitches...
I have not laughed so hard in a long time. All of the comedians were in rare form especially Earthquake.
I’ve been to A LOT of comedy shows in my lifetime, but this one was EVERYTHING!!!! The laughs kept coming!!!! My entire group loved every moment of our gut-busting laughter, for 3hrs straight!!! This was definitely an amazing way to close out 2023 & kickoff the New, with great joy & lasting memories. The entire comedic lineup was incredible, our seats were great, & the price was more than fair!!
Each comedian brought their A Game. From the opening comedian to Cedric the Entertainer. I laughed so much that my cheeks were sore. I hope they continue the tour so that I can see them again and bring my family and friends. Please come to the Philadelphia area again. Thanks for the laughs.
Great experience for a solo night out in the A-T-L. So glad I was in town to experience this show full of laughter with a MATURE audience!
All of the Comedians were awesome. Hubby and I along with our friends enjoyed the show
Show was excellent they had me laughing from the beginning to end
The music was great, comedians fantastic, food good,
All the comedians were hilarious except for Lunell!!! But overall it was a GREAT comedy concert!
All comedians were awesome. I loved every one. Damon Williams had me crying! The audience though wasn’t live at all. They laughed and clapped but I think they should’ve shown more love, stood up, danced a little. These are legends. I expected more from the audience, especially being in Atlanta. The staff were also great. They helped my mom get around the arena. I can’t remember the last guy’s name but he was slim with short locs. He pushed my mom in the wheelchair and was the sweetest and well mannered. Keep up the good work
The arena was okay as usual, except it was pretty warm in there and they don’t have gold tequila. Also, the seats are really tight and my knee felt jammed before the show ended — I couldn’t straighten my leg beyond a 90 degree angle while sitting, and I’m only 5’7”. Again, the actual show was awesome, even though the audience did little to keep the comedians going. The audience did not show proper love for such talented legendary comedians.
Overall, the show was pretty good. Cedric was very relaxed and instead of his normal "skit-like comedy"his was more conversational and not as funny as in past times - but he is still one of my favorite comedians. In my opinion, for THIS show in ATL, DL Hughley (who I generally don't care for), Bruce Bruce, and Damon Williams made the entire show for me!!! Lunell was not an asset at all, and Earthquake's presentation seemed like he didn't really want to be there. Earthquake surprised me, he's normally extremely funny but his presentation felt more like a time filler than a comedy piece although he slid in some one-liners here and there. However, BOTH of those performances could have been omitted and DL & Damon's slots could have been extended. All things considered, it was a good night and the money spent wasn't wasted.
Went to the show with my girls. It was a last minute purchase. Seats were great. Jokes were funny. Not too crowded. Had a great time.
From our beloved Bruce Bruce, Earthquake, DL, they were mostly telling very old jokes from the past, and or jokes from earlier this year from previous comedy shows. The Arena was a little over half full because of that. That was the input I received from patrons leaving the show. It’s time to update your material.
It was not a total waste of money but it was not worth the money. It should have been a Netflix special.
Damon Williams was by far the funniest comedian on the lineup. I absolutely LOVE the original Kings BUT…. Their jokes were stale and too repetitive! Bruce Bruce did a better job as the host than on the lineup, so I was grateful for that because he too tells the same jokes! I must say I was disappointed because I am a huge fan of comedy and needed a good laugh.
Great show, perfect subject matter timing, considering what’s going on in this world with current events. They were all very comical and good show, the only complaint is I wish it was on a Friday or Saturday night vs Thursday!!! All the comedians did a great job!!! I hope they come back to Atlanta with the exact same jokes!!!
