Cavetown Live in Concert

Born Robin Skinner in Oxford, United Kingdom, Cavetown is a project of the classically trained, Cambridge-based musician. Skinner rose to prominence in the music scene in the mid-2000s by developing a popular YouTube channel with ukulele-infused covers of pop music icons like Elvis Presley, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and Twenty-One Pilots. However, music was a crucial part of Skinner's life from the outset. By the age of 8, Skinner's father was named the Director of Music at Cambridge University. Skinner began recording original music in 2013 and founded the project Cavetown a year later, releasing self-written, self-recorded singles and albums almost immediately. Cavetown's first taste of commercial success came in 2015 with the hit single "This is Home." Cavetown went on to release their self-titled debut album later that year. Recently, Cavetown paired up with singer/songwriter and guitarist beabadoobee to create the recently released "Fall in Love with a Girl," which Cavetown described in a statement as being "about someone who's struggling with their sexuality and how that affects their happiness.

    Great, youth friendly experience

by Ada on 4/11/22Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

All was running smooth, easy to go through check in of Covid-19 test results, tickets, belongings, friendly security and staff. Only disappointment was on the drinks options. They had only wine, beer and spirits, no light drinks, a nice cocktail or two that I could enjoy with the concert.

    Long lines

    by V on 4/11/22Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

Great show, could have been more organized with the line up get inside to make sure that all guests get inside by the time the show starts. We missed a few songs because of the really long line to enter. Another merch table would also be helpful because the line was also ridiculous.

Great show, this review is for House of Blues - Orlando

by brandon on 4/6/22House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

This was the worst process of getting in the door I've ever experienced. I arrived 15 minutes after the doors to the venue opened (45 min before the first act went one) and got in at 8:45 as the second opener was finishing. Literally during her closing song. From getting in line to getting in the door it took roughly 2 hours. 2 HOURS. It was ridiculously slow. I understand having to check for vaccine cards, but a better process needs to be in place. Robbie, if you're reading, the show was wonderful. I had a blast getting to hear your music in person.

    The best

by Mombu on 4/5/22Tabernacle - Atlanta

Honestly, one of the top best shows I have ever been to (and I'm a 50 yo mom who's been to 100s of concerts, lol). Not only was the venue amazing as always, but the crowd was so much fun and incredibly happy and friendly. As for Cavetown, AMAZING. I enjoyed the show far more than I expected. Truly an all around great performance. Engaged the audience. Lights, sound, extras, all added to a truly great event. I'd go again in a heartbeat. A must see! Thank you for a great show!

    Wasn’t prepared

by George on 4/5/22Tabernacle - Atlanta

Thought I was going to a concert. Didn’t realize I was going to a treats pride event. Just wish I’d done more research and been better prepared. The music is incredible, but the social and sexual messages were way over the top. I don’t give a flying flip about who loves who and what you do with your life- I just thought it would be more concert and performing than what it was.

Cavetown grabbed my kid’s trans flag and took the bracelet they made for him! It made their entire night complete! The music was great! Such a lively, fun, memorable occasion!

by Lex on 4/5/22House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Though the line to get in was long, once we were on we had such a great time. My daughter was entranced and couldn't stop talking about how cool it was to get to be close. I loved the lights, the service, everything.

    Amazing

by shortie on 4/4/22House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

This was my first ever concert! It was so worth it! Between Addison Grace, Tessa Violet, and Cavetown, I was throughly entertained and all three were amazing performers!! House of Blues is a great venue too! Just be ready to shove people away to keep your personal space and stick up for yourself!
