    Spectacular!

by Alesy on 8/7/19James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

This is a great production, a classic must-see. The second half is more agile and dynamic than the first, but the whole show is great. We enjoyed crossing this from our bucket list!

THE SOUND IN THE THEATER WAS VERY POOR IN THE BALCONY

by AL on 8/6/19James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

THE SHOW WAS GOOD, EVEN THOUGH IT'S BEEN CHANGE SOME FROM THE ORIGINAL. IT WAS A REFRESHING CHANGE. HOWEVER, THE THEATER'S SOUND SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED. WHEN THE SOUND REACHED THE BALCONY IT WAS MUFFLED. IT NEEDS SPEAKERS. THERE WERE FOUR OF US (270.00) AND ALL OF US, AS WELL AS PEOPLE AROUND US, HAD THE SAME DISAPPOINTING OPINION. WE WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN TILL THE THEATER ADVERTISES THAT THEY HAVE MADE SOME CHANGES.

    Entertainment without a bang

by Joe on 8/6/19James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

The costumes, makeup, singing and small stage was no match for the original production. If you are a first time viewer it would be entertaining. The one tall female cat with the duo after the intermission in a reddish-bronze skin was exceptional with flowing gesture and movement. She stood out amongst all the female dancers. The two primary male dancers a pleasure to view, but no comparison to the one female. Bravo

    Best performance so far!

by Erika on 8/5/19James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

I saw CATS on tour in the late 90s and toward the end of its Broadway revival run, and this performance was incredible! I’ve been a fan of the show my entire life, and this revival tour did not disappoint. Keri René Fuller as Grizabella absolutely NAILED her big solo! The new choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler mixed with the classic choreography by Dame Gillian Lynne was a joy to watch, and it was so good to see all the same costumes again. Loved the tweaks to the orchestration—both staying true to the original show but also bringing it to a late-2010s audience. Was happy not to have Growltiger as part of the show and to have Gus relive his days as the Rumps Cat instead. I loved the show so much I nearly bought tickets for the following weekend. I still plan to for another touring city just so I can see this cast again—they were amazing.

    Absolutely Amazing

by Susan on 8/5/19James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

I have never attended a performance where a performer receives a standing ovation DURING the show. Memory in the Second Act was amazing! Do not miss this show!!

    Wonderful show!

by Mmason on 8/5/19James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

The show was great but what happened to the days when people weren’t allowed in late? A group a 4 people came about 15 min. into the show. Tried to get my feet out of their way but got stepped on, ouch! So the show was interrupted plus a sore toe😢

    Enjoyable Experience

    by P. J. on 8/5/19James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

Love how the show started on time. Wished the stage microphone was a bit louder the D section had to strain to hear it evident by audience members leaning forward to hear or asking what did they say? For consideration of the hearing impaired this flaw should be addressed because enjoying the show involves quality sound. Overall, enjoyable experience.

This play was just as good today if not better than when I saw it in 2000 in NYC.

    Cats..re-live the memories

    by D. W. on 8/3/19James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

So nice to see the show again after years. The woman that sang Memories was amazing as was the man that played Mr. Mistoffelees. Only thing to make the show better was the amplify the orchestra a bit more.

    As good as I remember!

by IvaMae on 8/3/19James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

I saw CATS twice back in the 80s, so I was really looking forward to seeing it again. Buying the tickets online was easy (too many added fees), and the theater is absolutely beautiful. The performance was excellent, with Memory being the shining moment.
