CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN IN CONCERT:
U.K. indie rockers Catfish and the Bottlemen are on the rise thanks to their blend of passionate songwriting, memorable melodies, and sonic exploration. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Van McCann was born in Cheshire, England in 1992, though he was raised in Llandudno, Wales. He formed Catfish and the Bottlemen in 2007 with high school friends Billy Bibby (guitar) and Benji Blakeway (bass), and began performing in parking lots after shows by bands like Kasabian. After adding drummer Bob Hall, the group generated considerable buzz in 2013 with the independent release of the singles “Homesick”, “Rango”, and “Pacifier”. They spent the following year turning in impressive performances at festivals like Reading & Leeds, T in the Park, and Governors Ball. The rigorous touring ultimately paid off when their 2014 debut full-length The Balcony peaked at No. 10 on the UK albums chart before being certified Gold later that year. With fans already buzzing about their follow-up album, Catfish and the Bottlemen continue to give impassioned performances to audiences around the world as they build on their sterling reputation.
We had a wonderful time at the House of Blues. Great atmosphere. The band was amazing and played a long set. It was great to hear all of my favorites.
House of Blues Boston hosts great acts and Catfish and The Bottlemen are no exception. The band, including the opening band, Worn Flint, had a lot of energy and sounded excellent. I’d definitely see CatB again-I’ve already bought tickets for Their show in NYC in the fall. The Foundation Room was great as well. Nothing bad to say about thus night at all!

Parking was easy to find leading up to the show, security was nice, and the set was a dream! This band has tons of energy and kept the crowd singing the whole show. The last time I saw them was five years ago, and now, two albums later, they gave an even better performance and have an even bigger following. From the playlist before their set, to their introduction, to their sing-alongs, to the songs played after the show ended, this show was legendary and they really do deserve more support from venues and radio stations in the U.S.

Catfish and the bottlemen honestly blew my mind. I was expecting good, but they were so on point and hit every beat in perfect synchronicity. They also actually jammed during their set list— not just stuck to playing things as recorded. I really enjoyed the show, keep killin it, boys! X
I’ve been waiting so long to see this band live, and the show did not disappoint whatsoever. They’ve been my favourite band for ages and their live energy was just as great as I expected it to be, but also so, so much more. I love them so much and I loved the experience more than I thought I could. If you ever get a chance to see Catfish and the Bottlemen live, please do, because you will not regret it.
my sisters stupid appendix decided to burst the night of the show- so instead of living my dream with the love of my life van mcann I was in the emergency room humming their entire discography. Also lost my $ but alas its how it be sometimes. I saw Catfish and the Bottlemen in 2017 at REBEL and it was the best night of my life so if you can see them live - DO IT ! family first but I will still hold a grudge and take it to my grave. appendixes can be replaced, my night at that concert can never.
They really give their all as performers, incredible energy & very interactive with their fans. Sadly though, their was a lot of technical issues. Maybe it was the venue or maybe them, but they would pull through and did their best to finish the show strong. I’d definitely see them again.
Spur of the moment ticket purchase turned best concert experience to date. Catfish and the Bottlemen blew me OUT of the water! There was no opener, no true encore, and no talking breaks. The band played an hour and a half of pure mind-blowing rock music. More than once my brother and I found each other gaping in disbelief at how good the electric guitar solos were, and I was smiling ear to ear the entire show. 15/10 highly recommend seeing this band live before they blow up and tickets cost $100 at a crowded venue!
Easily one of the best concerts I have attended. Sound just as good live as on the studio recordings!

Amazing show and our second time seeing Catfish! We had a great spot where we could see the band perfectly and that was awesome! They put on a great, high energy show and the audience participation was incredible. Would love to go see them again!

Car overheated an hour out from the venue and never made it. Streamed their performance two days later at Bannaroo and they were amazing as usual! 😞

Great performers! However, the crowds were a little rowdy. I advise getting there earlier as to stay away from people who’ll be trying to squeeze (and push!!) their way to the front. Once the show started it was great.
Catfish put on a great show with every song you wanted to hear from them. It was energetic, fun to watch and the music was spot on. I highly recommend seeing Catfish and the Bottlemen to anyone.
