  • Best burlesque in Houston

by Addison on 10/5/25The Bronze Peacock at House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

I’m so glad I found this show! After moving from LA I hadn’t found the quality of show I’m use to in Houston till I came to this one. The costumes were great, the host was funny, and the performers are stunning. 10/10 will be back! THANKS FOR THE GREAT SHOW LADIES!

  • Not impressed

by Ju on 9/30/25The Bronze Peacock at House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 2 out of 5

Not much to say, the show was just not very well put together. The ceiling was leaking water on me. Service was super slow and the entertainment was disappointing. I took a friend that had never seen a burlesque and I was so disappointed that this was his first experience.

  • Barely Worth the Ticket Price

by Texaschick on 8/25/25Rating: 2 out of 5

The show was advertised as running from 7 to 10 p.m., but it started after 8 p.m. with no explanation. The emcee's voice was piercing because she was yelling into the microphone in a very small room, and the sound levels were never adjusted. This was a major issue because the performances themselves were very short, only 3 to 4 minutes each. With only 7 performances over the two hours, the majority of the time was spent listening to the emcee speak. In addition, there were no group performances, and the individual acts were repetitive, with each performer doing the same set of "tricks". While the performers themselves were lovely, the overall experience was very disappointing. The combination of arriving at 6:30 p.m. to get good seats (as is customary for HOB GA events), waiting an hour and a half for the show to start, paying for parking, and then only getting 30 minutes of actual performance over two hours was highly irritating.

  • Fun show for first timers

by PEZ on 7/29/25House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

The venue itself was too warm. We all burned up and were sweating like pigs. It doesn't help that they pack about 1-2 chairs too many for each row so you're literally touching your neighbor the whole time. As for the show itself, it was entertaining, especially if it was for first timers. We are seasoned BurlyQ goers (prior to it dying off due to COVID) so the show left us wanting a bit more. We are used to a dedicated MC and variety of performers. Troupes we're used to seeing are a bit more diverse in performers, music, styles, etc. I'm really hoping this opens the door back up for more performances like there used to be

This was a classy and entertaining night of burlesque. The girls were beautiful, the jokes were funny and the drinks well they were at HOB that should say what you need to know. But the show was well thought out well rehearsed and very entertaining!

We had an amazing date night at the show. It was Halloween themed which was really fun! The performers were stunning, their costumes were beautiful. So cool seeing the “real” Jessica rabbit! Drinks were good. We plan on going to the next Dallas show. Would recommend.

  • No variety or stand out talent

by Disappointed on 9/17/24The Bronze Peacock at House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

The best part of the show was the host’s song performances. All burlesque acts were very unoriginal and very similar to the next performer. The main act was introduced as the queen of burlesque and it couldn’t have been far from the truth. Seeing this show doesn’t compare to the ones in California, Hawaii, or Europe.
