The atmosphere this year is awesome. They're finally getting the fan base they deserve for the effort they give every night. The whole team interacts with the fans. My, almost 2 year old granddaughter loves going and loves every player on their team. Will definitely go again.
Hockey has become one of my favorite sports, I wil definelty be back to watch another game.
Affordable family entertainment. If you like hockey, this is the place you need to be.
Awesome opening night. Great seats, just high enough to see the entire rink, and low enough to se those faces as they slam into the glass
This was my second time going to see the Thunderbirds play and I really enjoyed myself. Concessions were open, local beer was provided, and there was free parking. They made it to the playoffs and there was a good crowd. I would recommend this event to anyone. This is a good family event.
Great to have hometown hockey back in Winston-Salem! A perfect opportunity to take the family to a sporting event without having to break the bank. Action packed. Frosty Friday's a nice treat for the adults. Need a louder train horn to celebrate all those goals!!!!!

The Thunderbirds is a great cheap outing. Great for family night or date night!
We will definitely be returning to the Annex to attend another Carolina Thunderbirds game. Tickets are affordable, concessions aren't too outrageous and it's just good fun for our kids and us parents! (FREE parking is a HUGE plus too!) My only regret is that I waited until late in the season to take the fam!

First time for hockey...ever! I knew W-S had this many years ago, but never went then. Found the tickets online, took the church youth group and had a wonderful evening. The parking was free. The giveaways were great. The game was interesting. I was not surprised about the selling of beer; however, i was surprised about the openness of the selling of mixed drinks. I don't mind that they sell mixed drinks, i just wish it had not been in the "front door." The merchandise i thought was great and was priced reasonably. The seats were ok comfortable. I will bring a blanket next time though...got a little chilly. (i should have known that hockey would though :). All in all it was a great time had by all and will return to see another game.
We had a good time, got front row seats which is great for the hockey action but the seats are VERY small and you end up squished with your neighbors. Beer options were good. For what it is this was a lot of fun and not expensive.
So glad we have hockey back in Winston Salem. Good loud crowd ! Free parking helps tremendously. I hockey its here to stay here where we have a long rich tradition.
