About

Carly Rae Jepsen in Concert

After multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015, it became "a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts," as NPR noted. The album also inspired an abundance of memes — extending the cultural cachet that Jepsen earned from the ubiquity of her GRAMMY® -nominated blockbuster hit "Call Me Maybe" (from her U.S debut album Kiss), which not only climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, sold over 20 million singles worldwide, and was certified Diamond in the U.S., but was referenced by everyone from former secretary-of-state Colin Powell to Cookie Monster.

Jepsen's most recent album, 2019's Dedicated, retains the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor. But where E*MO*TION was an '80s-influenced synth-pop classic that Rolling Stone called "a pop masterclass" and Stereogum called "indisputable, unfuckwithable pop genius," Dedicated has a more '70s-inspired feel at times, though the album defies categorization as a whole, with Vulture stating, "Dedicated is both stranger and freer than the last record, but it also feels more confident and considered." Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers, among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe, Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. Dedicated features the fan favorites "Party For One," "Now That I Found You," "No Drug Like Me" and "Julien."

Jepsen landed the lead role in the 2014 Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and later starred as the iconic Pink Lady, "Frenchy," in FOX's four-time EMMY award winning musical GREASE: LIVE. Jepsen voiced the character of Odette in the animated movie "LEAP!," which also featured Jepsen's song "Cut To The Feeling."

Carly Rae Jepsen on Tour

Following the release of Dedicated Jepsen embarked on a global tour playing to audiences at venues like the Arizona Federal Theatre in North America, as well as crowds in Japan, China, Australia, Canada and Europe. Jepsen will return to the U.S. later this year for performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball.

We Came Back for You Baby!

    by JJ on 8/11/23

Great energy and four songs in only to get cancelled because of lightning?! Oh no! We were really surprised at how quickly the rescheduled show came together and had an absolute blast at the afternoon performance the next day.

    Magical and life changing

    by Scott on 8/11/23

CRJ is the most underrated pop star of our generation. Every song is a banger and the crowd was great - polite, engaged, and fierce as hell

    by Meh on 8/11/23

Great venue. She sounded good. Minimum banter. Just song after song with no real interaction

    Amazing!

    by DanMar on 8/11/23

This was my almost 10 year old daughter’s first concert and we both really dig Carly Rae Jepsen, so we had a blast seeing her in person with my wife too and dancing the night away on the rooftop right on the river next to the Brooklyn Bridge! Carly was great, and she should be way more popular than she is!

    Carly Rae is a Gem

by GG on 6/6/23Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury Park

If a unicorn and an angel had a baby, you'd end up with Carly Rae. She was an absolute etherial goddess, didn't take any pause or intermission throughout the entire 20+ song set, and belted out her tunes at radio-quality. Well worth the price of admission!

    A bright shiny disco

by Musically on 12/12/22Greek Theatre - Los Angeles

Carly Rae has always been a pop princess and she gives all her energy when she performs. It was bop after bop after bop.

Great show / Meet and greet left something to be desired.

    by A. M. on 11/21/22

Absolutely love CRJ and she puts on a phenomenal show. With all of that said, the meet and greet was a little odd. The group photo as opposed to individual pictures was an interesting choice especially since you can’t tell who is who in the photos. Next time I think we will get tickets for the show and skip the meet and greet

    Amazing show

Amazing show absolutely one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to! Carly sounds even better in person and the small Aragon Ballroom theatre made every angle perfect for viewing!

by Incredible concert but the ballroom could use some air conditioning on 11/8/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

First off, let me just say that Carly was incredible. She took us to the moon and said she was coming back for our wigs that she had snatched. However, she only had to come back for the wigs because the absolute sauna of a venue caused our wig glue to melt and our wigs to go sliding off. Now I don’t expect a huge venue to not get a little warm when it is standing room only. However, I do not think there was one ounce of air conditioning in the venue, and it was unacceptable. Many patrons left to stand downstairs in cooler air or because they couldn’t enjoy themselves or the concert they’d paid for.

    Awful

by Pbb_12 on 11/8/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Clearly they oversold tickets, it was impossible to get a good view of the stage. People were literally inside the bars watching the show. Not enjoyable at all!

    Great concert VIP false promises

by Cj on 11/8/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Friends and I were excited for the VIP experience and everything that came with it. Unfortunately, the event was delayed, we received a poster that wasn't signed, never saw the sound check, Q and A was rushed, and have yet to see the group photo but based on the ones that were shared online it'll be hard to make out our faces. We thought this would be fun memorable thing to do, but it ended up being a complete waste of money and time. Next time we'll just go to the concert which was great.

    The Most Incredible Concert

by JAWiradharma on 11/8/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Legitimately one of the best shows I have ever been to. Carly Rae Jepsen delivers such a great performance and brings great energy to the concert. Her fans are also incredible, and the energy does not let up all night long. Making it a night to remember, I will 110% go to another of her concert for sure.

    PACKED

by Jen on 11/8/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

They obviously oversold the venue, it was completely packed and many areas had 0 visibility. Everyone standing behind the many stone pillars had no where to move and nothing to watch. Probably won’t be back

Great concert from Carly - but not a great venue experience.

by MCJ on 11/8/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Foremost, the show itself was amazing. Carly can do no wrong. However, the venue was a mess. I think they sold too many tickets, as there were many people stuck with zero sight of the stage. It was extremely congested leaving there, and even the line in had people stuck in their puddle-filled side-alley in cold/windy conditions for far too long. Aesthetically, the Ballroom is beautiful and is a great fit for Carly. However, the pre-show and post-show experience were among the worst I've ever experienced. Carly = 5/5 stars Byline Aragon Ballroom = 2/5 stars Giving ya 4/5 stars overall because the venue dragged this down.
