No need to deliberate. This is one fabulous, high-energy show. It doesn't take you back, it moves you ahead in your appreciation for Carl Palmer and the ELP catalog. The crew at the Tralf is still trying to get the roof back on.
The greatest drummer hands down in history and very down to earth like the song says welcome back my friends to the show that never ends
With so much of the "music" industry cranking out lip-syncing dancers that wouldn't know real music if it bit them in the ass, it was heaven watching this concert. Real musicians that play real music - AWESOME. Carl Palmer is right up there with Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Neil Peart, and John Bonham as one on the all-time greats. The guys he had with him were awesome as well. Simon Fitzpatrick was fantastic on the Chapman Stick and Paul Bielatowicz could play anything on the guitar. It was incredible to hear the sounds they got out of their instruments. If the show is in your area, GO!!!
The last time I've seen Carl Palmer was 40 yrs ago, on ELP'S Pirates tour. Carl Palmer was amazing then, and unbelievably, still amazing! I guess when you're one of the best, you're always one of the best! I was in total awe with the whole show.....first of all, who plays 2hrs. anymore? I was thrilled to listen to this great lineup...Paul B. on guitar, and Simon F. on bass rounded out the great legend. There were no vocals, which I loved, because who could surpass the beautiful voice Greg Lake had. Run ,don't walk, to see this great show - even if you're not a big ELP/Asia fan, you won't want to miss this show! Keep On Rocking Boys!!!!

Carl Palmer performed Wednesday June 27th at Sony hall in NYC. The sound was perfect, his playing was the best it's ever been, and his band was top notch. Seeing Carl in a intimate setting is an unforgettable experience. Hopefully he makes it back to the NYC area again
Carl is an amazing drummer and showman . Paul and Simon absolutely bring the ELP experience to life
back in my teens during the 70's Carl Palmer was my favorite drummer and with no disrespect to Neil Peart, John Bonham or Keith Moon CP reinforced my opinion of him this week
I see Carl every year. He is the most amazing percussionist ever! As usual his set is mostly ELP and completly instrumental. This is not an ELP cover band, this is a power trio doing complicated variations of ELP music without keyboards. I would highly recommend seeing Carl Palmer anytime. His technical talents are mesmerizing, his sheer speed and motion will blow you away!
The Rose was a nice venue for Carl's concert. Though seating was a little crowded, I didn't care because I was almost at stage front. Carl Palmer should be considered one of the best rock drummers ever!!! He just turned 68 but plays like a much younger man b/c his speed in drumming is unbelievable!!! I never saw him play with ELP or Asia when he was younger but I can only imagine what he was like then after seeing what he does at age 68! Something I loved is how often he smiles while playing and looks out at the crowd. It is so obvious he loves to play and plays with such passion. He, Paul and Simon are all magnificent and do wonderful justice to ELP's legacy. I recommend this show to anyone that loved ELP (or even Asia), especially if you didn't see him with either of those groups. This might help you get a feel for what they were like. Many people I met @ the concert saw Carl with ELP and/or Asia & were seeing him for the 3rd, even 4th, time!!! Loved his concert and am ready to see him again--tomorrow!

Great show. I love The Rose. You can see from anywhere. Carl Palmer is now on my list of top 5 drummers I've seen live. Didn't stop nearly 2 hours! The guitarists were incredible in their own right and played the music perfectly. Great time!
The show was great. The only thing is that there was no singer. I know greg lake could not make it but it would have been a lot better if he had someone up there singing.
our 1 st time at st georges theater,well worth the 4 hr drive. zebra was great . carl palmer and his band was on fire that nite.
The show was absolutely fantastic. He put on a great show. There is no slowing him down. I was in awe of his talent. His bass player and guitar player were really good too. He was so nice too. He told everyone to take pictures and even said to take a video and upload it if we want. No one does that.
The show started right on time , Zebra was excellent , although i thought they would have played their # 1 hit - tell me what you want .. but, all the other choices were great . As for Carl Palmer , from start to finish , the music selection was the BEST , and his tribute to Greg and Kieth were very warming to say the least . Please do yourself a favor and see this show , this bass player and guitarist are TOP SHELF ! , there solo's were off the charts and the best of the best , i was able to meet the whole band , they were in the lobby saying hello and signing merchandise , which by the way was well priced , i purchased a Paiste cymbal with Carl's autograph and CP logo in the beginning when i arrived , and after the show i asked if he and the whole band would sign the back and they were more than glad too . Can't wait till they come around again .. i'll be there ...
IF YOU NEVER SEEN CARL PALMER YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MISSING. HE IS THE BEST DRUMMER I HAVE EVER SEEN. HE HAS A GUITAR PLAYER AND A BASS PLAYER. IT MAY NOT BE ELP BUT IT IS VERY CLOSE. CARL'S DRUM SOLO IS FANTASTIC. HE DOES THE WHOLE ALBUM OF PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION. HE DEDICATES IT TO GREG LAKE AND KEITH EMERSON. A CLASS GUY. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES CARL. EBUGGS
Carl Palmer did not disappoint. Amazing! Never thought I could enjoy a concert without singing...but Carl Palmer was remarkable on the drums...enjoyed every song!
Then st George theatre was a perfect venue to see the greatest drummer and Simon and Paul keeping the music of elp alive. Loved it can't wait to see again true gentleman Carl and the band is.
