Carl Palmer Carries on the ELP Legacy

by Badqat on 11/17/21Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

I'll be honest - didn't really know what to expect from this intimate show. I've seen him with Asia, but had only seen Emerson, Lake and Powell live back in 1986. Figured it'd be a good show, but was absolutely blown away at how Carl is carrying on the ELP legacy. Highly recommend you to check it out and see Carl Palmer - he's lost nothing from a drumming perspective, and surrounds himself with great musicians.

Carl Palmer still has it. The guitar solo on Clair de Lune was outstanding...

    Carl Palmer ELP Legacy

by Dtc on 11/17/21Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Fabulous program. Was like reliving an ELP event. Simon and Paul are artist in their own right and spectacularly presented the music like it was 50 years ago. Well done.

    Fantastic Show

by RD on 11/17/21Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Carl Palmer bangs the drums like a 20 year old with the consummate skill of the true professional he is. Teaming with Paul and Simon, these guys give ELP the respect deserved but play it all on drums, guitar and bass or Chapman stick. I saw them at The Ludlow Garage in Cincinnati. Small venue shows are the way to go. I know this is not the big bucks for the band, but the proximity to the band is amazing. I never got to see ELP live, but this still checks the bucket list for me.

    Great show!

by Karl on 11/12/21Tally Ho Theater - Leesburg

Carl Palmer may be past 70 years old, but he hasn't slowed down one bit. His time, technique, and showmanship are as strong as ever. I do miss hearing keyboards in the band, but the guys to a very respectable job of creating the ELP band sound with guitars, bass, and a "Chapman stick." The show was well worth the price.

Still amazing even after 50 years of ELP!

by bpstein@gmail.com on 11/12/21Tally Ho Theater - Leesburg

Fantastic show in Leesburg! Carl Palmer is still incredible, with unbelievable energy, power, precision and virtuosity. Paul Bielatowicz and Simon Fitzpatrick are amazing in their own right, both in their performances of ELP classics and in their sophisticated and creative solo spots. One of the best shows I’ve yet seen from this group in the many years they've been touring. Don’t miss them if you can!

    Just amazing!

by Steve on 11/12/21Tally Ho Theater - Leesburg

Carl runs a marathon on the drums and barely breaks a sweat! He's truly having fun along with his very talented guitarists. SO glad I saw yet another instance of "The show that never ends"

    Great Show!

by Mike L on 11/12/21Tally Ho Theater - Leesburg

Carl Palmer is a rock and roll legend. He lived up to that legendary status in his performance Tuesday night. His bandmates we're also superb, and certainly contributed to making the experience amazing. The Tally Ho Theater is a small intimate venue and it made for a wonderful experience by being able to be close to someone who is a legendary rock and roll performer. I've never been that close to someone of Carl Palmer's stature ever at a rock show.

    by K. G. on 11/10/19Tralf - Buffalo

Fantastic show, Carl is just amazing and it is wonderful to be able to continue to hear the music of ELP live. Paul was great on guitar and vocals and Simon was great on bass!

    Awesome

by Bill on 11/9/19Tralf - Buffalo

If you were amazed by the musicianship or ELP, you’ll be equally amazed by the virtuoso guitar players plus Carl, around 70, has the same energy of 50 years ago. Incredible concert especially in a smaller venue where the band is close and Carl shares his ELP life with you. God Bless him with continued power and strength.

Carl Palmer is one of the top Rock & Roll drummers on the planet and likes to show it off...lol! He and his band are incredible musicians, being able to reproduce the sounds of ELP and more that they do. Great Job!!!

Carl Palmer is an amazing drummer. Very unfortunate the other 2 original members are no longer alive. Great concert but miss the keyboard and singing of the original group.

    Exceptional Talent

by Ace1999 on 10/13/18The Space at Westbury Theater - Westbury

Carl Palmer the veteran drummer who is about 70 years old played two sets of music that would leave most younger drummers in the dust. Playing two sets of ELP songs with guitar virtuoso Paul Bielatowicz and bassist/Chapman Stick player Simon Fitzpatrick left the crowd amazed with the energy and talent they were watching. All the players just smoked playing their instruments. An about a11 minute drum solo closes out the concert and left the intimate audience cheering on their feet and wanting more. Carl Palmer should be a must see concert if you’re a fan of rock music. Carl even sometimes does a meet and greet after the concert.

Carl Palmer played a tight show Five stars

by Lawski on 10/10/18Tralf - Buffalo

Great show especially since it was the first of his tour. Loved Oliver as the champ stick player! Carl played an awesome set. Hands moving so fast on the drums it was hard to keep track. Highly recommend and surprised the place wasn’t packed. Venue food and bar service was terrible.
