About

Cage the Elephant are a Grammy-winning rock band who formed in 2006. Originally hailing from Bowling Green, Kentucky, the group moved to London before sharing their self-titled debut in 2008. The band have released six studio albums that have all charted on the Billboard 200, including a career-best No. 2 debut for 2011’s Thank You, Happy Birthday. In total, Cage the Elephant have recorded 11 Top 20 singles on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart such as “Come a Little Closer,” and “Cigarette Daydreams.” Meanwhile, the group has logged two Hot 100 singles: 2008’s “Ain't No Rest for the Wicked," which has been RIAA-certified six-times platinum, and 2010’s “Shake Me Down.” Cage the Elephant won Best Rock Album at the Grammy Awards for 2015’s Tell Me I'm Pretty, then won the same category for their 2019 follow-up Social Cues. • The Best Ever!!

by Brenna on 9/10/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

Cage the Elephant put on an incredible show at Artpark, playing all of their hits as well as some of their new stuff from the Neon Pill album! Even with a broken foot, Matt had so much energy onstage and the vibes were amazing. One of my favorite concerts ever!

  • Great Band!!

by June on 9/10/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show!! Despite Matt Schultz playing with a broken foot. He was Spectacular!!

  • Fantastic, energy-filled performance

by Chad on 9/9/24TD Pavilion at the Mann - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Cage The Elephant did not disappoint with a non-stop, energy-packed performance of both older and new tunes. Despite a broken foot, which has caused other acts to cancel their tours, Matt Shultz figured out how to make the most of it, even incorporating his scooter into the act. I absolutely loved the show and would definitely go see them again.

  • Excellent Staff, Venue and performance

by Jersey Girl on 9/9/24TD Pavilion at the Mann - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

The staff at The Mann are extremely friendly and helpful. The only bummer is like most concerts, the traffic on the roads leading out of the area

  • Absolutely Amazing!!!

by Molly on 9/9/24Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing CTE at MSG was one of the best concerts I've ever been to! It was so energetic and the vibes were immaculate. I would absolutely go again any day of the week! My only regret is that I didn't buy a T-shirt.

  • Good

by BE on 9/9/24TD Pavilion at the Mann - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

In general I always love a show at the mann. But drinks and everything are way overpriced. That's a norm now I guess though. Didn't know you could bring a reusable water bottle in so that's really cool. Last time I was there they took the caps off the water/soda so that was inconvenient and I didn't drink anymore. I wasnt in the main lot/entrance where they have the porta potties though so that was kind of annoying. they should put some at the other entrance too.

  • Great venue, good too expensive with limited choices.

by Seward on 9/9/24TD Pavilion at the Mann - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Comfortable and safe, it was easy to get in and out. We used vip parking which was great but regular parking was probably good too.

  • So worth

by Hr on 9/9/24TD Pavilion at the Mann - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

  • Cage always brings it

by Jodigirl1970 on 9/8/24Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen them a few times. Always super high energy (even with a broken foot)! The vocals are always spot on. Great show overall! Young the giant was also great. They deserve to play MSG. Great band !

  • Amazing!

by Betsy on 9/8/24Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Show was amazing. Very energetic and fun. This was my third time seeing them live and I already can’t wait to see again.

  • amazing!

by Diego M on 9/8/24Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

First time at MSG, loved how punctual it was, the options for merch and drinks. Music was just right sound wise. Definitely left me wanting to come back check out other concerts. Worth coming in from out of state.

  • Unreal show!

by Maz on 9/8/24Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Msg staff was incredible. All went out of there way for us. Cage sounded incredible. Trouble Cigarette Daydreams Rainbow my top picks. Incredible energy. O found myself wanting more. Played every album the next day.. Best bad by far. In my top 3 behind Arctic Monkeys and Led Zepplin

  • Excellent show!!

    by Tom B on 9/7/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Even though Matt was on a knee scooter he was still high energy and the band performed awesome as always!! They are one of the best live bands out there! I love them and all the music they put out into the world!!!

  • Great Night

by Jonmac on 9/7/24Breese Stevens Field - MadisonRating: 5 out of 5

The show was what you would expect from Cage the Elephant if you've been following them at all. However - what was exceptional was the lead singer and front man Matt Shultz had a broken foot and a cast on. Rather than letting us down - he rocked it with a foot scooter! Venue was great and the weather could not have been better. Can't wait to see them again!

  • Amazing Show!

by Max on 9/5/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Was the beer almost $20 per can? Yes. And that was very disappointing. Something should be done about that, or allow people to BYOB. I was not a fan of the openers at all really. But Cage The Elephant was AWESOME! Could not imagine a better show.

  • All that and then some

    by Laura B on 9/5/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

It had been almost 15 years since I last saw CTE live and they did not disappoint. Even with Matt's injury, he brought everything he had to that show. The venue was immaculate and sounded and looked great!
