“Cafuné” is a Brazilian-Portuguese word that roughly translates to “the act of running your fingers through a loved one’s hair.” Sedona Schat and Noah Yoo came upon the word while in college in New York where they met. The two didn't anticipate that Cafuné's debut EP Love Songs for Other People (2015) would connect with a Brazilian fanbase a continent away. Those listeners early passion was the spark to continue on. Throughout their debut album Running (2021), Cafuné embrace their blend ofalternative pop, soft rock, and shoegaze, anchored by Sedona’s dreamy vocals.
Amazing performance, would recommend seeing this band live. I also would go to another live performance from this band.
this was my first concert, i'm 14 and brought my friend. we got there and struggle to look for parking lol and then got it and got a pretty good view. my only complaint is them not allowing outside beverages but having free water at the bar (probably a good reason) bathe played for about an hour and then cafuné came out and we had the best time, all of the songs were great and i got a video of when they sang tek it. at the end my mom got us first in line to meet the singers and they singed my shirt and my friends vinyl and they were very kind. overall, a great experience for my first concert :) 10/10
Great band to see live. They've really improved playing shows since a few years back. Stage presence was great, crowd was pretty into the songs. Made a venue I am usually iffy on a bit better as both artists had good interlude banter and genuinely thanked the crowd significantly.
Great music, the room was too small, my only complaint is when Cafune said " F&*k cops" which was uncalled for. Other than that is was a good time.
This was a great experience I can't believe their tickets were only $18. The opener band Bathe was amazing they are very talented and I got the opportunity to meet them after the show! Cafune was amazing of course this was top 3 favorite concerts.
Shoutout cafune a great experience! The crowd was great and the band seemed to feed off of the energy from the crowd. I loved it!
I loved their performance! The energy was great and I loved the live versions of some of more favorite songs. Can’t wait to see them again!
I found Cafuné through an ad on Youtube. I ended up listing to them on a regular basis, after the show I even met the Bassiest. She was so sweet, I was slightly high from secondhand smoke and lack of energy. But she was still so nice and we talked for a bit. I can't wait to see this group again!
The live performance was amazing even though the lead singer was sick. They were so sweet and stayed after the show to talk to fans and sign their merch too.
I was really excited to go to this concert with Cafuné, but it was honestly pretty disappointing: the band didn’t interact much with their audience, and honestly, their vibe was very awkward on stage, with long pauses of no talking while they tuned their instruments after almost every song. While I thought that the other members of the band were great, I found that the main trouble I had was with the lead singer: they relied too heavily on their auto tune microphone (which sounded much worse than their regular mic), to the point that I was actually covering my ears throughout the concert when they would use it—and it wasn’t just me, my friend actually requested to leave early due to the auto tune mic, which we’ve never done before! Also, I got the general impression that the lead singer could care less about putting on a proper experience for their fans—they just didn’t seem into it at all, which brought down the vibe of the rest of the band. I’m really sad that this show wasn’t what I thought it was going to be because I love to support smaller artists and usually they don’t disappoint, but unfortunately, it was probably one of the worst live music experiences I’ve ever been to.
