    roaring Cabaret

by patootiebabs on 9/26/16Centennial Hall - Tucson

The emcee was outrageously funny and extremely talented, he stole the show. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I'm so glad I chose the show. I'd recommend this show to anyone who enjoys musicals.

Both of us thought that the performance was mediocre! Would NOT recommend my friends see it!

A fine rendition of a classic it was. Phenomenal band, as expected. A down ending was not expected and, therefore, quite memorable. Those that would have us believe there was no holocaust would not like this performance. As a trombone player in my other life I got to be in the band for Cabaret in Memphis years ago. This was, and is, a more powerful performance. Thank you.

    Best Cabaret performance!

by Ralie on 9/25/16Centennial Hall - Tucson

I've seen Cabaret three times. This, by far, was the best performance ever. Don't hesitate to see it!

    Outstanding "Cabaret" performance

by AugKunoE on 5/23/16Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

We didn't know what to expect, since our love of the movie version with Liza Minnelli is so great, but this production we saw at the Hippodrome was simply fantastic in every way. The actors, the singers, the BAND - all superb and fully engaging. The time flew by and we so very much enjoyed it (even if the balcony seats were uncomfortably hard and straight). The emcee actor was remarkable and the multi-talented group as well as all the extra special effects and props were amazing. Thank you for a great time on our 25th anniversary!

    great talent

by mabohka on 5/5/16Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

Cabaret had outstanding talent, excellent acting, and great renditions of the familiar songs. However, I walked away depressed. I understand the desire to do such a stark production. Instead of innuendo, the decadence of that part of German society during the rise of Hitler was in your face. And the world does need to be reminded. However, for my taste, the production was heavy with sex and sexuality.

    Cabaret was great!

by acorn8 on 5/4/16Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

I loved the musical. The Emcee was better than Joel Grey in the movie. I thought having the orchestra above the stage was an interesting way to incorporate them into the show.

    Cabaret a Grand Success

by LizVH on 5/4/16Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

Going to Cabaret was a birthday present for my daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed the production. It was very beautifully done in every respect. The songs, the dancing, the scenery and the way the whole thing was put together were just perfect.

    Deat Beat

by janejack on 5/3/16Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

This was without a doubt the worst production of Cabaret that I've seen. Halt the time could not understand Sally Bowles and when she sang Cabaret it was like watching a statue - no movement. no expression.

Cabaret was playful and awesome! !

by Landshrk on 5/3/16Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

From the moment the show started they had us as a captive audience. The emcee was funny and enlightening, the musicians and the pieces they played were excellent. An old story retold with pizzazz!!!

    Cabaret was great!

by SilverShiny1 on 5/3/16Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

I bought these tickets as an early Mother's Day gift. And I was looking most towards seeing Randy Harrison on stage for the first time. He was just as amazing as I anticipated. But all of the cast and pit members were great. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and would highly recommend the show.

Cabaret -- sexier and more relevant than ever

by AtlanticJack on 5/3/16Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

I loved it; great production. Sexier/gayer than ever, including trans. Devastating new ending shows the consequences of not adhering to the theme: live and let live. Randy Harrison (whom I remember from Queer as Folk) was terrific as the Emcee. The rendition of the song Cabaret was different than any I've seen; Sally Bowles (played by Andrea Goss) told a story through the lyrics in a moving and profound way. What the book of the musical says about the dangers of a political movement resonated more than ever because of what's happening in this year's presidential campaign. I cried through many of the songs, especially Maybe this Time. The movie cut out some of the quieter songs that slow down the show, but they are touching treasures and I savored every note. Cabaret is a work of art that continues to be reworked to keep it relevant and impactful. Kander and Ebb's music lives on in its beauty and story-telling. To me, it's one of the greatest musicals of all time.

    Unbelievable show!

by Marianne1888 on 5/3/16Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

Incredible show! We'd only been planning on seeing it once, but were booking tickets for the next day's performance within an hour of leaving the theater. Incredibly talented cast. This show is both entertaining and devastating. My only complaint is that the theater allowed two audience members to access their seats in the center of the row about 20 minutes into the show, forcing an entire row to stand up, which was rude and distracting to both audience members and performers. But beyond that, this was an absolutely spectacular show. I'd recommend everybody watch it not just once, but twice (or more).
