C-Kan on Tour

Mexican rapper and hip-hop star C-Kan knows how to get a crowd moving with his high-energy blend of reggaeton and rap. His tracks are equal parts hard-edged tales of gangs and life on the streets, and melodic, often autotuned melodies that give his perspective on pervasive social injustices. After his rise to fame in 2012, C-Kan spent the last decade perfecting his live act as a headliner at various major festivals, including Revolution Fest, Budweiser Made in America Festival and High Times Magazine: Cannabis Cup. In 2022, fans can catch C-Kan performing at venues across North America on his anticipated 2022 USA Tour alongside fellow Mexican rap stars MC Davo and Dharius.

C-Kan Live in Concert

José Luis Maldonado Ramos, better known by his stage name C-Kan, was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1987. From an early age, he became familiar with a hard life on the streets and began rapping about the lifestyle as a teenager. C-Kan's early influences include Cypress Hill, Big Boy and Control Machete, whose impacts you can hear in his contemporary fusion of reggaeton and rap.  According to C-Kan, he had to arm himself for protection when he was just a teen and soon became the man of the house after his father passed away. Life's troubles didn't keep C-Kan down but instead inspired him to draw attention to social injustices and inspire change through his lyrics and platform as an artist. In 2006, the rapper released his first two mixtapes, Get Money and Déjenme Afinar Los Gallos. By 2012 he had gained widespread recognition for his YouTube music videos and the release of his debut full-length album Voy por el Sueño de Muchos. As of 2022, C-Kan has released eight full-length albums, composed the soundtrack for the feature film Compadres and has had his music featured in multiple popular video games. The tracks "M.E.X.I.C.O." and "La Calle Sabe de mi Nombre" appear in the AAA game titles Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands and Watch Dogs 2. Some of C-Kan's lyrics have become a mantra for those seeking freedom from oppression, with tracks like "Soy Ilegal" addressing issues like immigration, racism and the dream of a better life in America.

  • Show was under appreciated

by LuisDurango on 9/28/22House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

I really expected a packed house. But I guess I was going off my love for their music. I really felt their show was missing something but I didn't realize it untill I saw their faces trying to hype the crown. Other then that I found the show very fun and nostalgic for me a lot of songs I use to bang out to in high school.

  • It was great, but sadly I'm upset.

    by :/ on 9/26/22Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

There were items missing for VIP Users. It is so unfair we had to paid a lot and not receive those items. Mc Davo was a great singer and provide us a great time, while the other ones were kinda rude. He made me feel it was worthy. Hope they consider to have respect for their fans next time because we are the only ones that are supporting and not having that respect back is sad.

  • Amazing show:)

It was a dream come true seeing both C-Kan and Mc Davo for first time singing together loved it so much :) they did beyond amazing :) I just wish there was seats for everyone to sit instead of standing during the show.
