About

Aleman on Tour

Mexican rapper, composer, and Latin trap performer Erick RaĂşl AlemĂĄn RamĂrez -- better known by his stage name AlemĂĄn -- has been entertaining audiences since the mid-2000s. He is arguably best known for songs like "RucĂłn," "Rolemos otro," and "Pues Que Pues" and has collaborated with everyone from Snoop Dogg to Grammy-winning Mexican singer Lupillo Rivera, Argentinian producer and DJ BZRP, B-Real of Cypress Hill, along with Berner, Duki, Khea, C. Tangana, Akapellah, Nicki Nicole, and Trueno.

Born in 1990 and raised in Cabo San Lucas, AlemĂĄn grew up heavily inspired by '90s and 2000s rap icons such as 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Control Machete, Cartel de Santa, Cypress Hill, Psycho Realm, El Pinche Brujo, Snoop Dogg, Akwid, Ice Cube, and Eminem.

AlemĂĄn kicked off his own music career in the mid-2000s, and in 2009 he released his debut mixtape, Click Clack Punto Exacto with Doble Rima. In 2010, AlemĂĄn followed that up with Clasick-rap. In 2015, AlemĂĄn released his first studio LP (with DJ Phat), Pase De Abordar ("Boarding Pass"), which came out via his own label Homegrown Mafia, run with partner Darwin Norvak. Around this time, AlemĂĄn also developed a fruitful working relationship with the Roots keyboardist and producer Scott Storch.

In 2018, AlemĂĄn released his next album, Eclipse, featuring guest spots from Fntxy, Yung Sarria, C. Tangana, Akapellah, Dezzy Hollow, Dee (Hood P), Muelas De Gallo, Cozy Cuz, Dezzy Hollow, Yoga Fire, and more. Two years later, he shared another album: Humo en la Trampa 2. The same year, he released a bonus edition of Humo en la Trampa 2, and in 2021 he shared Humo en la Trampa 3 and HuracĂĄn.

In 2020, AlemĂĄn teamed up with Snoop Dogg on the bilingual rap track "Mi TĂo Snoop," which was featured on HuracĂĄn. "Mi TĂo Snoop" achieved Platinum Certification in Mexico.

"Snoop Dogg represents for me my school and what the entire West Coast is," AlemĂĄn said at the time. "I'm from Baja California Sur, Mexico, so I grew up among palm trees, sea, beer, and a lot of weed too... and his music is what we always listened to."

AlemĂĄn continued: "The record that changed my life was Doggy Style. It is an album that, until now, remains one of the best albums in the genre. And when I was with Snoop, I was able to talk to him about when he visited Los Cabos alongside Tupac and when they came here to relax."

Opening up to Forbes about his homegrown success, AlemĂĄn said, "Bro, the truth is that there is no secret to success. Just a lot of hard work and being authentic. Also investing in yourself. The first chance I got, I ramped up my video production, I invested more money than what I had," he declares. "From the days when I had nowhere to sleep, to today, when we live in a mansion, the only thing that has changed is the view, but we are still the same."

"There is also another factor: that people choose you, that they see themselves reflected in you. And I feel very grateful that people have chosen me."

    great show

had been waiting to see homegrown on tour and finally happened! Great showcase of acts, only complaint was the crowd. Many were inpatient and complaining between sets and of the music being played (booing) not a real hip hop crowd unfortunately . And too much mid being smoked 😹 otherwise great show and hope to see you again !

    Missed out

by Anna on 10/1/22House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

We got to see the opening acts but didn’t get to see aleman because someone threw up next to us then spilled their drink on me. I’m very heartbroken because I was extremely excited to see him in person and I don’t know if I will get the chance again

    Outstanding stage presence

by Ernie on 9/20/22House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

The crowd engagement was unbelievable, it felt like the movie 8mile. Aleman put on a great show and kept on engaging with the public. I have seen a lot bigger acts, but few of them have blown me away like this show! Great concert, definitely 20 out of 10, well recommended

    Sweet…

by SneakloveMel on 9/15/22Aztec Theatre - San Antonio

Took my 16 yr old daughter to see Aleman, it was her first concert. Ive had a crush on him since forever and now my daughter does too lol. The concert was lit, we sang every song. But the best part had to be “meet & greet.” He’s just as dreamy in person and oh so sweet.
