    Quaint

by AEJB on 8/9/12Lexington Opera House - Lexington

The leads were all very good singers and we enjoyed the clever scenery. The Lexington Opera House is a little small for that big a company, but they did a nice job using the boxes and downstage to move quickly between scenes.

I've seen Bye Bye Birdie a couple of different times now. This time I was invited by a friend and it was definetly the best one I've seen.

Bye, Bye Birdie was great fun!

by Chuck5 on 8/7/12Lexington Opera House - Lexington

This was a very high energy play that was very fun to watch. I laughed out loud several times. Although some of the dancing was just average, over all I thought it was a very professional job by all.

    Great time

by tootsandpooh on 7/29/12CSUN - Cal State Northridge - Northridge

This is the first time I've been to this groups plays and I have to say all of us from 7 years old to 72 had a great time. What a great group of talented young adults. Both of my Grandkids were grinning from ear to ear watching, and so were there parents and grandparents. Thanks far a great Friday evening out!!!!

    Bye Bye Birdie

by Jwesty on 11/21/11Center Theater - Long Beach Convention Center and Entertainment - Long Beach

The high school production was fun and entertaining, and very funny at times - perhaps especially when it wasn't supposed to be "that" funny. Those kids worked hard and it really showed - well done to the entire cast!

    false advertising

by Anonymous on 12/26/10Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

This was totally dissapointing. When I originally saw the ad for this play on Ticketmaster's website it said "starring John Stamos.' Turns out, the play was actually a high school musical... This was never mentioned on Ticketmaster's website.

I wish that I had know when I purchased the tickets that it was a student production. I was assuming that since I was buying tickets from ticketmaster that the caliber of singing and acting would be better. I do have to say that the acting was good. The girl who played Rose saved the show. She has a great voice and obvious experience. The other lead (the agent) was also really good.) Besides that it was a bunch of young kids that were just starting out and the lighting and sound was not always on for the actors. If I had known that it was a student production going in I think that the expectations would have been different.
