About

Bullet for My Valentine is a heavy metal band from Wales. They released their debut album in 2005, though they had originally formed as a band in 1998 under the name of Jeff Killed John and released a number of EPs before their first album. Years later a couple of early tracks were reworked and released under the Bullet for My Valentine name. In their early years, before official singles and album releases, they performed cover versions of popular heavy metal bands such as Metallica and Nirvana, whom they list among their influences along with Iron Maiden and Slayer. The band promoted their first album by taking a tour around the world and subsequently toured to promote each of their albums with lots of tour time in North America, Canada and the US. With a growing fan base they began to be invited to perform at festivals and as their popularity grew they moved up the billing at many prestigious gigs. By 2006 they were headlining at the Kerrang XXV gig at London's Brixton Academy and up to the present day Bullet for My Valentine have continued to tour and perform at music festivals all over the world. Over the years the band have collected an enviable cabinet of awards starting with their Best Newcomer award at the Welsh Music Awards in 2004. They won the Best British Band Award twice at the Metal Hammer Golden God Awards, in 2006 and in 2010. They have been regular award recipients at the Kerrang! Awards including Best British Band three years in a row from 2008 to 2010.

    B4MV KICKS ASS

    by petey717 on 11/29/09Hammerstein Ballroom/Starland Ballroom - New York City/Sayreville

bullet for my valentine is one of my favorite bands of all time. i got into these guys liike 2 years ago and they have not dissapointed me at all. every song they have is great, there is not one song that i can say is bad or not that great. saw them twice; 8/8/08 at hammerstein ballroom and 7/29/09 at starland ballroom. and both times they rocked the place. the second time was the best because we were so close to them and the sound was great and it was the first time they ever played their new song live and it was amazing and i cant wait for the new album. only like 2 more months!! XD \m/

    Words can't Explain How Amazing

    by CCat61 on 8/3/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

Pretty much this was my first metal show and of course I was rather nervous because I'm currently recovering from an injury but as Bullet is my favorite band I couldn't pass that chance up. So I roughed it and went, it was worth it...amazing. Not only did it pull in a crowd of awesome people they played a lot of my favorite songs -- pretty much all of them are my favorite -- . Their sound couldn't get any better and they threw so much energy into it, like they actually cared and a lot of bands don't do that. I'm glad I got to see them and I would do it again in a heart beat. They know how to keep the crowd moving and how to get down to business. It really shows that they like what they do and to me, that's what makes the whole show because if the band isn't having fun and isn't happy with what's going on, it shows in how they preform.

Bullet for My Valentine Rock my socks off!!!

by dsweettreat on 8/3/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

The band sounds exactly like they do on their recorded albums. They were full of energy and got the crowd really pumped! The lead guitar player would move around to all corners of the stage so everyone could see him. It was a great show overall.

    Bullet show at Starland

by fsltank on 8/2/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

It was my first time seeing Bullet, and I have to say they didn't let me down..the band was tight and put on a great show..But I have to say ...I've been to many shows at Starland Ballroom and have always had a good time.. I have to so say that night the crowd {at least in the back bar} were acting like total A-HOLES!! Just rude, obnoxious,drunken,morons..and that was just the girls..Stuff you expect from an all ages show ,except it wasn't the younger peeps acting like tools!! But hey...what are ya gonna do..

    Bullet!!!

by mattwojcik on 7/31/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

Bullet for My Valentine is an amazing band to see live. They pack a lot of energy into their live shows. During this gig, they unleashed a brand new song never played before from their upcoming album. The song sounded awesome. All That Remains is also an amazing band to see live. They opened for Bullet and really killed even without their drummer (they had a fill-in).

by xxcoreytitusxx on 7/30/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

Bullet for my Valentine put on an amazing show. They sound great and played great songs. The environment of the starland also made the show exciting. All That Remains performed before Bullet and they were great as well.

Sweet Cyanide, All That Remains, Bullet ... Great!

    by Gina23 on 7/30/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

My Boys LOVED the show! They can't wait until they come back into town. The groups did allot of interacting with the crowds and for kids as young as mine (13, 12 & 11)... that really made their day.

ATR and Bullet show us what a real concert is.

by XIxBloodShotxIX on 7/30/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

This concert started off with a random local. Everyone hated them. But then, when we thought it would be lame. ATR PROVES US ALL WRONG! With an unforgettable show of great songs being played like they were touring for a century. I will never forget The Air That I Breath. My personal favourite. Then, after they descend from the heights of the stage. A long moment of setting up to another AMAZING show of Bullet For My Valentine. This was not as good for me because i already saw them and i like ATR much better. But the songs they had played were just as though i was listening to my ipod. *It broke though =[* But anywho, this was just a 5 Star rating from the huge audience band that loved to sing to the radio, to the bands repaying us the favor, to the encore we had got from bullet.

Bullet for My Valentine was F**KAMAZING

by RGonzer on 7/30/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

Outstanding show, tight set, great guitar sound and awesome venue to see an amazing band as B4MV..They played every tune a fan would have wanted and new ones that just begged for us to purchase the disc....Although I'm a guitarist, I have always been a fan of Mr Thomas 'chest thumping kicks' that was the only one thing that lacked in the PA sound..was muddled at times..overall was the show I'd been waiting for and more than met expectations..

OMFG! That show was freakin' awesome

by chicksdigscars on 7/29/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

All That Remains and Bullet for My Valentine was the first metal concert I had been to in a VERY long time. I had such a kick ass time. Show was insane! All That Remains blew me away with how powerful they were. And Bullet was just sick man! I had so much fun that I twisted my knee in the pit! Well worth it though.

    BFMV was AWESOME!

    by Marco1294 on 7/29/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

The start of this amazing show was held by a small group from NY, Sweet Cyanide, they played a couple of songs that were pretty good. Then after several minutes of waiting All That Remains took the stage and played great songs like Two Weeks and Forever in Your Hands. Unfortunately they played some songs because their drummer broke his hand and a great dude by the name of Tony filled in and did a great job. Finally, BFMV took the stage and murdered the crowd. With the Opening song, Waking the Demon, and ending song, Scream Aim Fire, they also played great songs like 4 Words (To Choke Upon), Ashes of the Innocent, Tears Don't Fall, Hand of Blood and Hearts Burst Into Fire. The concert was awesome, although they could have thrown a few more picks for a night to remember.
