This event was soooooooo much fun. The Buick Open needs to stay in Grand Blanc, MI. We had such a good time my sons went back on the weekend. Great job, Warwick Hills! Very well run.
As usual a great tournament.I hope it is not the last.
This was my first PGA Tour Event. My Father turned 60 in July, and I wanted to get him something memorable. Since he has watched the PGA Tour for many years on TV, we decided to get him a chance to see it up close. It was AWESOME. We were sitting on the 18th green during the final 3 hrs., and it was one of the most memorable moments.
An awesome event! The viewing for spectators and the set-up of the course is top-notch. Plrase don't lose thiws event
I was impressed by all of the players but most especially found watching Tiger and Bob Seger fantastic! I wish that Ticketmaster had been more specific about camera limitations. It was my understanding that cameras were prohibited when they were actually permitted during the practice rounds!
The entire property was beautiful! The event was very well organized and the shuttles were amazingly on time. My only problem was with the food. The hamburgers had no taste and were dry and hard as a hockey puck.
Great event from start to finish. Hopefully someone else will step-up to sponsor next year.
Please get rid of the bleachers at the 17th hole. They are too disruptive.
If you weren't there to see Tiger you had great accessability to every other golfer on any tee.
I went on the friday and watched Tiger Woods play holes 10 thru 18 as well as a few on the front 9. I saw his birdie-birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie streak and had a front row view when his eagle chip on 12 flew in! He teed off early in the morning, so it was easier to watch him as there are less spectators in the morning. On his way to the 10th tee, he walked right by me, and on his way to the 15th, he actually said "hey" to me!! Also, i watched Danny Lee and met his manager. Danny also gave me his golf ball too! My friend and i also visited the lacrosse landing and received free golf balls, a photo of us, and a pro swing review. Overall it was a very memorable and exciting event. It's too bad this tournament is in jeopardy for next year. If it is the last one, i'm glad i went and what a way to go out!
I want to ask the organizers of the Buick Open. Why not post signs at the parking lot describing all restricted items?! That would have saved a lot of people the hassle of checking items before entering the event. As for myself... I got into the entry line only to be verbally 'dressed-down' by the security officer for -- (gasp) carrying a satchel bag! Instead of requesting me (and my guests) to check our items, he just took it off of me and held it. As I entered the event the bag was just sitting on the ground next to the entry line. (not the image of secure) Thankfully it was checked and no items were missing. But I ask, why was this 'drama' necessary? It made for a stressful beginning to what should have been a relaxing day. I was entertaining guests from Japan and the same situation happened to them. I can respect the rules and complied. But it would have been SO much simpler if the signs (explaining Restricted items) would have been posted at the bus pick-up point at the public parking lot.
This was the first Buick Open I have ever been to and it was amazing! There is not another course where fans can get so close to the golfers. I would hate to not be able to go again. This area deserves to have them back whether Gm be a sponser or someone else pick it up. If the Open is back then I will be back. Next time I would go for more than just the one day.
This was my first Buick Open and unfortunately my last. I spent all day Saturday sitting in the stands at the 17th green. What an experience. Tiger's 33 foot putt was amazing. I understand why Buick has to stop sponsoring the tournament, but it is a shame the Grand Blanc area is going to lose this event. The amount of good it does for the community is tremendous. We parked each day at Grand Blanc High School. The funds raised for their school I know is greatly needed. The Boy Scouts recycling cans and bottles I know helps their programing. Maybe some company will step up to the plate and sponsor the tournament for next year. We can only hope. If that happens, this won't be my last tournament at Warwick Hills. Thanks Buick for over 50 years of great memories!
The access to the players, greens, tee boxes and fairways was excellent. Able to get very close to players including Tiger Woods. The crowd was excited and the grounds were immaculate. An expereince we will not forget, rates as one of the best sports experiences I have had.
The weather was great first off, all of the fans were amazing for the event. Watching Tiger Woods was just unbelievable as the crowd was just crazy! Also, there were many additions to the course for fans that made the day an unforgettable one!
I wish that GM would keep this event. This event gets better & better every year! The players are outstanding & put on a great show! Let's keep going forward with this event GM.
We went on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday we watched Tiger at the putting practice area and were within 5 feet of him. It was so cool to see Steve Williams, his caddie, too. We also saw alot of other players we love.
It was a perfect day to watch the tournament. Concesssion stands were readily available, and all the staff at this event were very pleasant. Had a great time!
Buick club house was not worth the extra price for admission. Just a way for the sponsers to earn additional money. Service was slow and waitress were indifferent. I thought we would get a good view of the first hole and the putting practice range but there were so many people to block the view. We will save our money if there is another Open..
What a well orchestrated event. From the parking to admissions to concessions...everything was so smooth. It was a beautiful day to be outside watching golf. My husband and I brought our three boys. They loved it and wanted to play golf later that night after being inspired by the pros.
