About Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest

The National Football League and pop music have had an unlikely but successful relationship since the Super Bowl halftime show in 1991 when the year’s hottest boy band, the New Kids on the Block, brought the house down at Tampa Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Throughout the years, this short but sweet halftime gig has only gotten bigger, brighter and more spectacular with performers including Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, U2, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Madonna, Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and more. In 2019, the NFL upped the ante even further with the inaugural Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest, a three-day extravaganza that just nearly overshadowed one of the biggest sporting events in the world. With over 41,000 fans in attendance at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena — and nearly 5 million streaming the performances on Twitter — the fest featured top talents including Super Bowl halftime show alumni Bruno Mars and Aerosmith, as well as Cardi B., Post Malone, and hometown hip-hop heroes Ludacris, Ciara, Migos, T.I., Lil Jon, Lil Yachty and Young Jeezy. In 2020, the second Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest goes down in sunny Miami, Florida, from Thursday, January 30, to Saturday, February 1, leading up to Super Bowl LIV. On Thursday, DJ Khaled, DaBaby and a few special guests kick off the festivities with their EA SPORTS BOWL Welcome to Miami Showcase at the AmericanAirlines Arena, the palm-tree–lined venue located along the picturesque Biscayne Bay. Friday sees hard rock icons Guns N’ Roses taking over the stage with original members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagen busting out some of their greatest hits. The festival’s Saturday finale features the previous year’s Super Bowl halftime show headliners Maroon 5 along with a special guest. The three-day event also features surprise celebrity and athlete appearances. If the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest gets any greater, it could threaten to overshadow the main event itself.

    Awesome!

by Carol on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

Imagine Dragons really put on a great show. The extra effects of smoke and fire blows along with confetti paper strips enhanced the experience and added excitement! Fun show.

    AH-MAZING

by Kayla on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

It was awesome! Our seats were perfect in the Bud Light deck! The free flowing alcohol was awesome and made for a super fun night! We even met some new people and made friends! The bouncers were super nice when my wrist band was too tight and he allowed me to get a new one with no problems!

    Off to a late start

    by Local602rocker on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

This concert started way too late and pushed the main act past the normal start time, left early!

    Too long

by Ruru on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

Started way later than tickets said, and way to much down time in between. The whole thing drug on and took way to much time. Long night.

    Concert went too late

by Michelle on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

Imagine Dragons is a great band, but they only started playing at 10:25pm and ended at midnight. That is too late, especially since there were a lot of kids in the audience. By the end of the show, 25% of the audience had left, and Imagine Dragons was what they came for.

    Amazing Experience

    by D. S. on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

First that I've attended in years and it couldn't have been better. The main bands on Saturday were absolutely terrific, as was the opening band. The DJ was a huge bonus and kept the crowd engaged. and energized. The entire evening on Saturday was terrific.

    Worst imagine dragons concert ever

by Kd on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

Opener started 2 hours late, Imagine Gragons concert shorter than opener and did end until after midnight. All concessions shut down before concert. No maintenance of bathrooms which were disgusting.

    Superdud

by Gryfter on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

Attended Saturday night (Feb 12) of Budlight Super Bowl concerts. Just not happy with the event. Was excited about the acts but Kane Brown not my cup of tea and Imagine Dragons were just flat. The disc jockey between sets was obnoxious. Left halfway through Imagine Dragons

    Too many gaps!

    by T. A. on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

The music was great. Sound quality and performances on point. Waaaaay too much waiting around before and in between sets. The energy was low from the crowd because of the poor timing.

    Super Bowl Concerts

by Jay on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

Imagine Dragons and Kane Brown were GREAT. That said, the event was too long - no reason for a third act when you have 2 headliners.....Actually, no reason for a third act EVER

    Bait and Switch.

by JT on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

We were under the assumption Kane Brown was the headliner. He only did a half set. No way would have gotten tickets if I known Imagine Dragons were the headliner. They haven’t been relevant for for over 10 years. Multiple colleges and friends also bought tickets. All were very disappointed as we were.

    Missed the Mark

by Aim on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

The atmosphere in the arena was amazing and people were there to have a great time! Kane Brown went above and beyond expectations and put on a great show. Imagine Dragons was okay; the confetti was better than the actual performance. Also, Footprint Center jacked up their prices for beverages. A beer and double cocktail for $56!!!! Ridiculous!

    Too long of an event

by Alice on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

Took forever to start the actual concert and the main act started too late into the night to fully enjoy.

    Too much down time

by JCM on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

I was disappointed that the concert had a lot of fluff time. It didn’t start on time, 7pm. We made sure we arrived early as we didn’t know how traffic and parking were going to be. Music didn’t start until 7:45 and the hype girl/DJ was too much in between sets. This was a family friendly event and should not have lasted until midnight. Kids were falling asleep left and right. I’m going to rethink big shows at Footprint for the next family concert.

    Great When It Started

by Stephanie on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

It was a great concert, so much fun - once it started. It didn't start on time, it seemed everyone was late, the period between acts was long. They did have a DJ, who wasn't bad but the waiting got old.

    Never disappoints - great show!

by Brian on 2/14/23Footprint Center - Phoenix

Setlist was great. Band was extremely tight given this was their first live concert since last year's tour. The band on fire and it was a great show!
