BRUNO MARS IN CONCERT

Classic showmanship in the vein of James Brown and Michael Jackson is alive and well, and Bruno Mars is here to prove it. Mars takes the stage with The Hooligans, a tightly choreographed nine-piece soul band that serves as the perfect representation of his commitment to the live experience – a commitment that led to his selection as the halftime performer at Super Bowl XLVIII. A classic song-and-dance man and multi-platinum selling pop star, Mars references everyone from Prince to The Police in both his image and sound, but the result is more than mere imitation; as a songwriter and producer, he has successfully combined the sounds of his pop idols with reggae and hip hop to create a new generation of genre-crossing hits. In anticipation of his Super Bowl performance, fans can get tickets to catch Bruno Mars in concert on 2013’s Moonshine Jungle Tour.

BRUNO MARS BACKGROUND

Mars was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he gained his first exposure to music playing rock and Motown covers in his family’s band, The Love Notes. By age five, the Elvis Presley impersonations he performed with the band had gained him a reputation on the island and landed him a cameo in the 1992 film Honeymoon in Vegas. After high school, Mars moved to Los Angeles to pursue music, finding initial success as a member of The Smeezingtons, the writing and production team behind Flo Rida’s 2009 hit “Right Round.” His first success as a solo artist came in 2010 with “Nothing On You,” a collaboration with rapper B.o.B. that peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned the duo several Grammy nominations. Mars’ debut album, 2010’s Doo-Wops & Hooligans, landed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and contained two worldwide No. 1  hits with “Grenade” and feel-good ballad “Just The Way You Are,” which nabbed him his first Grammy (Best Male Pop Vocal Performance). Sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox (2012) was an even bigger success, peaking at No. 1  on the Billboard 200 and spawning the ubiquitous hits “Locked Out of Heaven” and “When I Was Your Man.”

  • Bad Opening Night, Too Short Concert

    by ConcertLife77 on 8/18/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 3 out of 5

Everyone knows about the opening day problems at Intuit, so I won’t go on about those. The worst part was Bruno only sang for maybe an hour and a half. At $800 a ticket I would expect a full two hour show. Fully understand that he needs to take a break or change clothes, etc. but the section where he just played the chorus of some favorite songs should have been full song performances. I’m glad I didn’t go to Vegas and have now seen him, but I won’t pay those ticket prices for an hour and a half show, Gaga or not.

  • Amazing!

Bruno is a great performer, his vocals are not like any other. His voice is his voice all the time. So amazing! This was a great experience and I will go see him again, I want to go see him again. I am now even a more bigger fan than I was. I fell in love with Bruno. Thanks for giving me an amazing experience.

Amazing concert!! I wish I could relive it. Bruno and his band are amazing performers there was never a dull moment. It was worth every penny, I wish I could’ve been closer but the dome provided amazing views from everywhere no matter what seat. It was a dream come true and I hope Bruno returns soon. So much thanks to him and his band for making his fans feel alive again and bring us joy with his music.

He was amazing! The best ever. The venue had issues and the seats I first purchased in Main had obstructed view. I had to purchase a second set of tickets. So spent double the money 😞

There were a lot of hiccups, not having access to my tickets due to the system crashing. Waiting in line over an hour to get in, the people checking tickets for bar codes holding up the line which was very unorganized. Everything that could go wrong went wrong, the show was delayed and in my opinion cut short. I was very disappointed.

  • HUGE Bruno Fan, kinda bummed

by Jaredb on 8/16/24Rating: 3 out of 5

So I saw his 24k magic tour in Vegas back in 2018 and it was the best concert ever. I waited for silk sonic to tour which NEVER happened and I was so sad I didn’t know they were just gonna do a short vegas stint. And I was hoping he was gonna do some silk sonic songs but all he did was leave the door open. Sooo most of the concert just felt like a retread of his 24k magic tour so if you’ve seen him since 2016 don’t go it’s basically a repeat show, but if you haven’t seen him before please go because it will likely be the best concert you’ve ever seen in your life.

by Kim on 6/20/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I saw Bruno Mars at Dolby Live in Vegas and it was a life changer!! At first, I was a little upset that we had to lock up our phones but it ended up being such a great decision! I sat up in the balcony but could still see everything pretty well. Bruno was such a great performer, funny, and CUTEE! I miss that night so much! Also purchased the dash pass and would say it was worth it!

  • A must see!

    by Tia P. on 6/15/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I flew to Vegas just to see Bruno and the fellas. His voice…The background vocals…The band…What a night! The energy in the room was amazing from the time the first beat dropped til the very last song. Everyone was singing and dancing the entire night; They locked our phones which forced us to live in the moment, and I’m glad they did. I highly recommend the show to everyone, even if you’re just visiting Las Vegas for a fun weekend. Stop by Dolby Live and live it up!
