BRUNO MARS IN CONCERT

Classic showmanship in the vein of James Brown and Michael Jackson is alive and well, and Bruno Mars is here to prove it. Mars takes the stage with The Hooligans, a tightly choreographed nine-piece soul band that serves as the perfect representation of his commitment to the live experience – a commitment that led to his selection as the halftime performer at Super Bowl XLVIII. A classic song-and-dance man and multi-platinum selling pop star, Mars references everyone from Prince to The Police in both his image and sound, but the result is more than mere imitation; as a songwriter and producer, he has successfully combined the sounds of his pop idols with reggae and hip hop to create a new generation of genre-crossing hits. In anticipation of his Super Bowl performance, fans can get tickets to catch Bruno Mars in concert on 2013’s Moonshine Jungle Tour.

BRUNO MARS BACKGROUND

Mars was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he gained his first exposure to music playing rock and Motown covers in his family’s band, The Love Notes. By age five, the Elvis Presley impersonations he performed with the band had gained him a reputation on the island and landed him a cameo in the 1992 film Honeymoon in Vegas. After high school, Mars moved to Los Angeles to pursue music, finding initial success as a member of The Smeezingtons, the writing and production team behind Flo Rida’s 2009 hit “Right Round.” His first success as a solo artist came in 2010 with “Nothing On You,” a collaboration with rapper B.o.B. that peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned the duo several Grammy nominations. Mars’ debut album, 2010’s Doo-Wops & Hooligans, landed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and contained two worldwide No. 1  hits with “Grenade” and feel-good ballad “Just The Way You Are,” which nabbed him his first Grammy (Best Male Pop Vocal Performance). Sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox (2012) was an even bigger success, peaking at No. 1  on the Billboard 200 and spawning the ubiquitous hits “Locked Out of Heaven” and “When I Was Your Man.”

  • Absolutely Amazing Show

by CWFD on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

The show was fantastic, Bruno Mars is the best live performer alive and it's not even close. The venue was brand new and nice, although not without a flew little flaws.

Bruno Mars best concert ever. True entertainer and loves performing. Gives it his all. Lady GaGa surprise duet was amazing.

  • A fun experience :)

by May on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

Had a great time watching Bruno Mars. Very lively crowd which we always love in a concert. With regards to the venue, we're happy there were no tech issues. Getting in was smooth and quick. Never had problems getting in. Maybe what needs improvement is purchasing food and drinks. Hopefully even if your card info is not in the intuit dome app, it shouldn't be a problem when you have the physical card on hand when paying. Seats we had inside were wonderful...happy to have built in chargers on our seats. Parking structure was great getting in and out. Glad it was very organized especially getting out of the parking structure after the concert. We love how the layout of the venue was from the parking structure to the stadium. Everything else in the Intuit Dome were generally very nice. Great stadium!

  • Favorite Concert Ever ❤️

by IloveBruno on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

It was such an experience! This is the first concert where I absolutely enjoyed every moment. The vibes and at atmosphere was just right on all levels. He brought out Anderson Paak to sing a Silk Sonic Song and Lady Gaga to sing their new song. I definitely got my money’s worth.

  • Always a Show Stopper!!

by Ness on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to many Bruno Mars shows and he NEVER disappoints. This show was no different. We were on our feet the entire time dancing and singing along. If you've never seen "Brunz"live, DO IT!!

  • Still kinks to work out

    by Tony S on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

Intuit Dome is BRAND NEW…and doing grand opening for a sold out concert was not the best experience. They will get it streamlined but second night was still messy. Long lines, lots of confusion (staff and concert goers), only seen one merchandise tent and it was outside the Done (in the fenced security area but outside the ticket takers) Cashless system was odd and mostly not working.

  • Seating view not worth the price

by Bummed out fan on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 2 out of 5

Concert was great, except the expensive tickets purchased, side view was not side view it was more back view of the artist. Couldn’t even see the big screens. Disappointed how ticket master allows this type of tickets be sold at such high prices. I could see everyone else being disappointed of the view as well as they were being seated.

  • Amazing show, Fantastic Venue!

by Renaypan on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

We had Club Level seats for the 2nd night of the Bruno Mars Intuit Dome show; unlike opening night, there were no entry glitches or other reported issues, and the show started around 9 pm. The longest lines were for t-shirts (and for people to take selfies around the various signs); food and beer lines moved very quickly and the overhead screens were super clear. Nice touch to have USB ports at every seat to charge your device as well. Bruno Mars and the Hoodlums are really the epitome of "professional"musicians and performers. They looked/sounded great and played all the hits. Seeing Anderson .Paak come out for "Leave the Door Open"was wonderful and made me wish that Silk Sonic would do some S. CA dates, and the Lady Gaga duet "Die With a Smile"was perfect (and has "Grammy"written all over it); their chemistry was sublime. The crowd went absolutely nuts!! If Bruno Mars comes to a city near you, save your money and get tickets! Definitely worth every penny!

  • event did not start on time and ended early to me

I thought it was a lot of hype for such a short event and very expensive compared to other events

  • Mind Blowing

    by J. Banana on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter and I splurged on 5th row floor seats for night two at the new Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA. It was a MUST, 14 yrs in the making for her since her late father bought her, her first Bruno Mars CD when she was 9 yrs old. His concert was by far, hands down the BEST concert we have ever been to. Thanks Bruno for our amazing mother/daughter date night and exceeding all the hype! ❤️

  • Awesome experience.

by Jokaia on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Bruno Mars is such a great performer, I just wish I could’ve gotten better seats but I was lucky to find seats in a sold out event. That was beyond anything that words can describe! P.S. loved the venue and accessibility!

  • Love Bruno

This concert was worth every single penny. Would do it all over again. Venue was new and the amount of staff was great.

  • Best concert I’ve seen

by MB on 8/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome concert!! Bruno Mars is one of the best singer of our time. Sang many of his hits and sang with guest singer Anderson Paak and Lady Gaga was just great bonus! Definitely like to see him again on tour.

  • So much fun!

    by Z.E. on 8/18/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Bruno Mars and the hooligans were incredible. They created a non-stop sing-along dance party. Loved that he brought out Lady Gaga to perform their new song. So epic!

  • Great concert poor ticketing with app

by TiffEE on 8/18/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

The show was wonderful once we actually got in. Doors did not open till after 8:30 p.m due to intuit some app shutting down so no one could access their tickets. Poor communication.

  • The BEST BEST BEST Concert!!!

by Incognito on 8/18/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

An awesome experience from the moment Bruno Mars stepped onto the stage until the last song Bruno sang. It was a performance bar NONE! AND Lady Gaga was an such an awesome surprise! The Duet was excellent! I plan to purchase the CD.

  • Amazing

Such a great show. He surprised with Lady Gaga. I love his vibe. I’d danced the whole evening.

  • Great concert

by Acustomer on 8/18/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

It was a quite experience to enter the brand new stadium. Started from nervousness by the issues of new technology, and ended with great feeling by Bruno Mars performance. It is the Bruno Mars concert, so I will give 10 stars for the rating. However I took one star out it's because the show started by 2 hours delay, and we couldn't catch the last train (Metro C line) and took Uber to home. I wish they can refund us the unexpected cost of $40.
