BRUNO MARS IN CONCERT

Classic showmanship in the vein of James Brown and Michael Jackson is alive and well, and Bruno Mars is here to prove it. Mars takes the stage with The Hooligans, a tightly choreographed nine-piece soul band that serves as the perfect representation of his commitment to the live experience – a commitment that led to his selection as the halftime performer at Super Bowl XLVIII. A classic song-and-dance man and multi-platinum selling pop star, Mars references everyone from Prince to The Police in both his image and sound, but the result is more than mere imitation; as a songwriter and producer, he has successfully combined the sounds of his pop idols with reggae and hip hop to create a new generation of genre-crossing hits. In anticipation of his Super Bowl performance, fans can get tickets to catch Bruno Mars in concert on 2013’s Moonshine Jungle Tour.

BRUNO MARS BACKGROUND

Mars was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he gained his first exposure to music playing rock and Motown covers in his family’s band, The Love Notes. By age five, the Elvis Presley impersonations he performed with the band had gained him a reputation on the island and landed him a cameo in the 1992 film Honeymoon in Vegas. After high school, Mars moved to Los Angeles to pursue music, finding initial success as a member of The Smeezingtons, the writing and production team behind Flo Rida’s 2009 hit “Right Round.” His first success as a solo artist came in 2010 with “Nothing On You,” a collaboration with rapper B.o.B. that peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned the duo several Grammy nominations. Mars’ debut album, 2010’s Doo-Wops & Hooligans, landed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and contained two worldwide No. 1  hits with “Grenade” and feel-good ballad “Just The Way You Are,” which nabbed him his first Grammy (Best Male Pop Vocal Performance). Sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox (2012) was an even bigger success, peaking at No. 1  on the Billboard 200 and spawning the ubiquitous hits “Locked Out of Heaven” and “When I Was Your Man.”

    by sdopi13 on 8/12/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Bruno live is just on a level of his own. The only concert that can even come close is his band Silk Sonic! One of the only truly great live performers/singers/musicians left. He’s a CANT miss for any music lover!

by MsWisdom on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This show is everything! Whoever said otherwise is just an unhappy underachiever. This is a concert where you do not hear any auto tunes, ONLY real good music PERIOD. I will be going to see them again and again and again………

  • COME TO AZ

    by A. G. on 7/10/23Rating: 5 out of 5

i didnt like it…I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! i was in vegas for the show and it was the best! i went in january and march of 2022, and i LOVED his enthusiasm and performance. in march, i saw him with silk sonic and holy cow it was INCREDIBLE!! although some people had thoughts against it, i LOVED how he took away phones so that no one would be on them while he was performing, and that we could truly be in the moment. the merch was also so creative as well! i love how there was a moment where he started moonwalking and acted like michael jackson! i feel like his prohibition of phones is because he feels pressured to do his best if there are recordings, but concerts are more than being perfect, they’re about having fun! bruno deserves the absolute best, and i hope he has an amazing next few events! p.s. PLEASE perform natalie at your concerts! i LOVE that song!

  • A Good Time Was Had By All

by CT Yankee on 7/6/23Rating: 4 out of 5

The venue was great. The crowd was totally into the experience. The songs were performed and choreography exceptional. What I didn't like was the profanity, since there so many kids in the audience. And, the confiscation of phones.

  • Best Concert Ever

by JJ on 6/26/23The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National HarborRating: 5 out of 5

Bruno was on my bucket list. I finally got to see him last year, and it was so good, I went back again this year! Nonstop energy from beginning to end, solos from the band members, crazy lighting and pyrotechnics throughout. Expensive, but totally worth it.

  • If Bruno doesn’t get heartbroken again😔

by Tink on 6/17/23The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National HarborRating: 5 out of 5

Show was a little under 2 hrs. We treated to a complimentary drink. Sound was very good. Mars and his Troup kept up the pace from beginning to end. Bruno sang, played guitar, keyboards and danced up a storm. This was our 2nd show and we look forward to the next.

  • Concert was amazing

    by S. F. on 6/16/23Rating: 4 out of 5

But this artist prohibited recording and taking pictures. All phones sent to cases with lockers. There are no memories like videos from the concert, only in my mind.

  • BEST SHOW EVER!!!

by Darlisa on 6/15/23The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National HarborRating: 5 out of 5

First - great venue! I felt safe and easily parked. Second - the staff everywhere I went were friendly, polite, and helpful. They did a great job getting the line moving. Third - I love that the phones were disabled! It allowed everyone to focus on the stage and not see hundreds of cell phone lights glaring back at me. Lastly - Bruno Mars put on a great show. I loved it! The lights were a great touch. Hands down, the best I have ever been to! Thank you for the great memory.

  • What an EXPERIENCE 🥳

    by R. Y. on 6/14/23Rating: 5 out of 5

My daughter and I attended the Bruno Mars concert on 6/7 at the MGM National Harbor. It was a treat for my daughters hard work in college. Not to mention he’s her favorite artist and I love me some Bruno Mars too lol. I must say, taking our phones away gave us the opportunity to zero in on him and the show. He did not disappoint! HANDS DOWN, ONE OF THE BEST CONCERTS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. It was a full on experience. Nothing but good vibes, dancing and singing the night away. Everything ran smoothly and no seat in that venue is a bad seat in my opinion. We were in 101 E. Absolutely Great Seats!!!! We will definitely be seeing him again. Well worth the $$$. Bruno Mars is a TRUE PERFORMER 🙌🏽 🙌🏽 🙌🏽

  • One of the BEST concert

by Alfredo on 6/13/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Bruno and his people delivered an outstanding concert!! Even though they were 1.5 hours late, they blew the ceiling off the venue. Great singing, music and dancing. One of the BEST concerts I’ve attended.

  • unforgettable night

by olivia blake on 6/12/23Rating: 5 out of 5

i remember listening to bruno mars on my ipad when i was 5. YEARS AGO. and it finally happened, i saw him, 5TH ROW. ive got to say, as soon as curtains opened i was in awe. he’s angelic and his voice is STUNNING in person, you wouldn’t think you could get any better than his voice through the radio or music apps, but in real life right in front of you, he sounded ethereal. the fire and laser lights were incredible and his dancing was over the top amazing. i wish i could’ve gotten a video or picture of him in front of me, talking to the crowd, dancing, singing incredible songs, and his amazing band, just glad i got to experience such a beautiful performance and person. many more mars concerts to come 💗

  • About the Las Vegas concert

    by A. A. on 6/11/23Rating: 1 out of 5

I traveled from Nyc to Las Vegas to go to the concert, it was my birthday, expectations were high, mad everything turned into a disappointment when at the entrance to the venue they banned me from using my cell phone and locked it in a bag. For me, A lack of respect for the fan.

  • THE BEST

by franchie on 6/11/23Rating: 5 out of 5

just absolutely fantastic! a little sad i can't keep a snippet of his magic due to our phones being locked away. our seats were good, we were kinda near him too. Bruno Mars exceeded my expectations by sooo much. his setlist was absolutely AMAZING. his stage presence is IMPECCABLE. the crowd tonight was cooperative and wild, i loved it so much. he even sang some songs that i was so surprised that were included because they were some of his iconic collabs! his band and background singers/dancers were GORGEOUS. i'm definitely going to watch him again soon!!!! it was such a dream come true!!! 1000/10 overall
