Depressed
Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction
Absolutely terrible, left at intermission. The most depressing lyrics I have ever heard. Guitar playing was pretty good.

Great concert, great venue
Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction
Bruce of course was great. Props to Avalon Theater -- clean, spacious, great experience. As a comparison point, maybe not as much "character" as the Boulder Theater, but nonetheless . . . slightly smaller and much cleaner, and clearly not a bad seat in the place (and we'd managed to find one of the few bad seats in Boulder last time we saw Bruce :)). Looking forward to the next show there.

Great Show!
Liberty Hall - Lawrence
Liberty Hall is a small, intimate venue in downtown Lawrence, KS. Parking is convenient (& free!) with many eateries within walking distance. While not the most up-to-date venue I've been in, the sound was above average and all site lines were unobstructed. I was a bit concerned when Bruce hobbled on stage (he walks with a staff now), I discovered that I needn't be...the show was outstanding. His guitar virtuosity is still outstanding and his voice hasn't lost a thing (even on the high notes). Who would have thought a man of his age would still be doing shows lasting almost 3 hours?! While there were some songs I wish would have been included (Peggy's Kitchen Wall, If I Had a Rocker Launcher) it was a nice representation of his body of work. He performed a few songs from his upcoming LP and, in my opinion, they were some of the best he has done in years - and that is saying a lot. I walked away not regretting the 6 hour drive to get there...the show was that good!

Cockburn Great
Liberty Hall - Lawrence
We really enjoyed the personal, historical, wonderful show which Bruce Cockburn performed at Liberty Hall in Lawrence. I was impressed with the voice he can still use to captivate your ears. While he gets on/off stage a little slower with age, his dang fingers are still adept and capturing the little intricacies of his written music. All in all, well worth the cost, the evening, and the drive from Kansas City!

Bruce Cockburn Feb 15 Liberty Hall, Lawrence, Ks
Liberty Hall - Lawrence
Mr. Cockburn, walking the high wire of 50 years of songwriting and performance, delivered. Liberty Hall remains an intimate, gem for live music. And — and here I confess my own latent biases, in spite of 3-time flawless experience — Ticketmaster made ticket acquisition simple, with narry a hitch. My own unease as to whether my “e-ticket” would be there is, again, MY personal issue. hopefully it will abate as I use e-ticketing in the future. Thanks Bruce, Liberty Hall & Ticketmaster for an enjoyable evening of live music.

Stellar Performance
Liberty Hall - Lawrence
Bruce gave us a wonderful show with songs both old and new -- so new, they're from the forthcoming May album release. The audio in Liberty Hall was perfection, but the seats leave a lot to be desired.

He's still got it
Liberty Hall - Lawrence
I hadn't heard Bruce live since 1997. His solo show at Liberty Hall was everything I'd hoped for.

Just a fan.
Liberty Hall - Lawrence
So good. One of the best writers and guitarists. Ans story tellers. And the sound is so clear. Don't miss him....

52 years later
Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg
I saw Bruce Cockburn in 1971 at what I think was his first solo show in Winnipeg. Centennial Concert Hall. I still remember how shy he looked as he walked on to the stage. 52 years later, his catalogue of songs is so large that he cannot possibly do all my favourites. His guitar playing is still unbelievable. His voice has held up remarkably well. The only disappointment was that the concert did not last a few more hours to fit in all of my favourites. I feel blessed to have been able to see him again.

Still a troubadour
The Centre in Vancouver - Vancouver
He comes out on stage alone and looking very old . His voice is good . Different but good . Can still hit and hold the notes . He still knows how to play the guitar . The sings are great and his delivery is as well . I like that he doesn’t have an opening act . I thought the break was a drag but the show lasted 2 1/2 hours , so…
