BRITNEY SPEARS IN CONCERT:
Critics have hailed global superstar and multi-platinum artist Britney Spears' spectacular Las Vegas residency show Piece of Me at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood as one of the best productions to hit the strip in years. Britney's skills are on full display as she and a crew of fierce backup dancers strut their stuff amid some of the most dazzling sets in Sin City. Voted “Best Show” and “Best Bachelorette Party” in the 2015 Best of Las Vegas poll, the show features the biggest dance hits and emotional ballads from Spears’ fireworks-filled career and has all the costume changes you’d expect from one of the country’s premier pop divas. From opening number “Work B*tch” and mid-set favorites like “…Baby One More Time” to epic closer “Till the World Ends”, Spears and Piece of Me deliver a nonstop party train of iconic pop jams, too-hot-to-handle fashions, and razor-sharp dance moves that leave no doubt that she remains at the top of her game.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Mississippi and raised in Louisiana, Britney Jean Spears knew she wanted to be an entertainer from an early age. Childhood vocal and dance lessons gave way to Star Search and a brief stint on the ‘90s revival of The Mickey Mouse Club, and in 1997 she was signed to Jive Records after impressing execs with a performance of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing”. Her 1999 debut album …Baby One More Time was an immediate success, landing at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and going on to become the top-selling album of all time by a teenage solo artist. After following up in 2000 with the aptly titled Oops!...I Did It Again – which also peaked at No. 1 – Britney’s blitz continued with a string of successful tours and albums including the self-titled album Britney (2001) and In the Zone (2003), which earned her a Best Dance Recording Grammy for hit single “Toxic.” Britney struggled with personal issues in the mid-‘00s, but by 2008 she was back on top with her sixth album Circus, a worldwide No. 1 that earned her a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest female artist to have five albums debut at No. 1. Following 2011’s massively successful Femme Fatale and “Scream & Shout”, her platinum-selling collaboration with will.i.am, the ever-provocative Britney released “Work Bitch” in September 2013 as the lead single from her upcoming album Britney Jean. The album’s release coincided with the kick-off of Piece of Me, her two-year Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Due to the success of the show, Britney announced in late 2015 that she was extending the residency for another two years – welcome news to fans around the world hoping for a chance to experience the excitement of Britney in Sin City.
I love Britney - she did all the crowd pleasers and danced almost the entire time! The only thing that kinda sucked was the she really didn't address the crowd at all. It seemed like she was there to do her job, she did it, and she was OUT!
She's back in great shape and concert was amazing. So much to look at. Whoever thought up the Circus theme.....way to go!!! Amazing!!!
This concert was Amazing from the start. I really felt like I was in a Circus. And no matter what people say Britney Spears rocked this show!!!!
Costumes, lights, acrobatics and Britney - what more could you ask for!
What an incredible show, not only by Britney, but her crew. It was an absolutely incredible show. She danced her butt off and entertained the entire show. I would love to see the show again!
No one comes close to an over the top concert like mrs spears does it...Action packed concert
Going to this concert was like watching a circus and listening to a Britney CD. She did not once address the audience. PCD was great! Britney just did not live up to my expectations. For all I know she was probably lip syncing.
I thought her show was incredible because I've been to a couple of her shows like her Baby One More Time and Oops I Did it Again tours. This concert was 2 times better than those because it had more entertainment and theatrics throughout the show. Britney kept it interesting with her dancing and singing. The Pyro technics were pretty cool.
After 10 years of entertaing and enchanting her audience, Britney Spears returns the stage (or should I say the center of the ring), to yet again blow us all out of our seats. After attending the Houston show in march, I can turly say, with confidence, that Britney lives up to her title as one of the greatest entertainers of our time. Britney takes us to a magical and sexy place, where we are all "a bunch of freaks," her very own 3 ring CIRCUS! An energetic, sexy, and above all powerful Britney Spears pulls out the whip and takes us on one HOT adventure! From begining to end Britney shows us how to have a good time and escape beyond our imaginations! The lighting and the circus stage are out of this world, and the performers along side Britney are phenomenal! The stage is also so huge it stretchs from one end of the arena to the othe,r so you definitally get to up close and personal with Ms. Spears.This is a show you would be unfortunate to miss! I went to the first show in New Orleans and didn't have the best of seats. But even though the seats were bad, I could still feel the energy that the crowd gave and her energy. Just her presence in the building was good enough for me. I know people give her crap about being fat but they only wished they looked that good after having 2 kids. I can't wait to see her again in Bossier City on Sept. 19th.
Great Show. This was a big improvement over The Onyx Hotel. The Stage set up was original and the show moved along at a good pace. I saw this show 4 times already and I'm going another 3. This concert is worth every penny.
This show was amazing...epic...unforgettable...words cannot describe. I saw Britney when she was just starting out and went on her first headlining tour. She went to the Universal Amphitheatre. This was about ten years ago. I decided to see her again for Circus, since all the tickets were sold out for her previous tours, and she DID NOT disappoint!!! I took a friend and it was her first concert and she didnt really like Britney before but now she LOVES her. I recommend her Circus tour to everyone and anyone! Beware its really hot and sexy and something not for kids to see. The only thing that sucked, yeah something sucked =(, was the malfunction of the last song Womanizer. Her and her dancers were stuck under the cage and they all had a confused look. I'm going to try to see it again in Sept. I have always and will forever be a fan of Britney! I <33333 you!!!
saw the circus in pittsburgh back in march, it was awesome! she really is back and you will be entertained. if you havnet seen it go see it!!! and if you have go again!! im going to atlanta, ga this time, cant wait sept 4!!!
I went to the show in Tampa Fl i drove 3 1/2 hours to see britney and would do it again! We made it a whole weekend experience and had a blast! Britney puts on a show like no other!!!! Only thing i dont recommend her show for children face it Britney isnt 17 anymore!! LOL BUT IT WAS A FABULOUS SHOW and im going again in sept to the orlando show! YAY!!!
I loved this concert :D best concert ever. When i went to see Britney Spears' show it felt like you really were seeing a circus, she looked so pretty LOVE YOU BRITNEY:D i liked it because she dances alot, it had a really cool stage and yes(: YOU NEED TO SEE THE CIRCUS STARRING BRITNEY SPEARS, you'll love it! Can't wait to see her concert again in San Diego!
I went to the 1st show in Anaheim and all i have to say is, "IT WAS GREAT" From the beggining to the end, Britney had an amazing energy and she was really charismatic. GREAT SHOW!
Britney has been my idol for a long time, and through her ups and downs, I have been there loving her. This was my first Britney concert, and I still dont believe it. I remember how upset I was when I missed the Dream Within a Dream tour, and cancelled Onyx hotel tour. This year was my year. I saw her in Boston, and twice in Connecticut. The next time will be back in Boston. The reason you should see Britney: she's an icon. How she performs, the energy, just the concert itself - its a great experience.
This is by far the best concert I have ever seen. I was lucky enough to have front row seats, which I am still amazed by, and let me tell you, this concert was unbelievably awesome. PCD was amazing too. I was VERY impressed with their live show. But when Britney came down from the ceiling, I nearly fainted with excitement !! She looked fantastic,and you know how amazing she looks on tv and in mags ?!! Well, she is even way more beautiful than that up close !! She had the craziest wardrobe changes & different settings. The choregraphy was insane . At one point she was twirling around ,suspended in the air with a dancer and a ring of fire lifted and they were above it..AWESOME !! There were clowns, cirque de solei type dancers, magic acts,and every type of circus aspect you can imagine . The only thing that I was slighly disappointed in was her not performing "Gimme More" herself..There were amazing martial arts going on instead, but I was looking so forward to her performing this herself. I also really enjoyed the Break the ice interlude where they flashed pics and video cuts from ALL her videos into a sort of remix,...BEAUTIFUL !! I cannot even sit here and type everything that went on, or this would exceed length limits by far ! All I can say is, get your tickets now, & splurge for great seats,..because you will not be disappointed !!! It was even better than I had known it would be. I would LOVE to see this concert again !!
This was the best show I have seen, it has it all plus more. I recomend this show 110 % to everyone.
Words cannot describe how amazing this show is from beginning to end. From the music to the dancing and the set changes it truely is an unbelieveable circus performance. Britney is here to stay and never leaving!!!!
