    Bright Star

by LConky on 4/30/18Shubert Theatre - New Haven

My husband and I really enjoyed the show. Knowing the part of the stories expressed in the album Love Has Come For You...this show filled in the blanks in the story line. The cast was very talented. The music is why we went and we were not disappointed. The costumes and stage set were perfect. We love The Shubert Theatre as it has so much character and it seems there are no bad seats.

    Bright Star is exactly that!

by Jdrof on 4/30/18Shubert Theatre - New Haven

I had read about Bright Star as Steve Martin and Edie Brickell were coming to Broadway and was sorry to miss it. I was delighted when the Shubert brought it to New Haven. The music, singing, acting, staging and dancing were all excellent!

    I was blown away!

by Kalkat48 on 4/25/18Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

Since I am a Fan of both Steve M and Edie B, I was expecting a positive experience, but I was blown away. The music was of course superb, but I was not expecting the range of emotions the plot and characters pulled me through. Thoroughly engaging, and I would highly recommend "Bright Star" to anyone.

    Blown Away by Performance!

by MBCrawf72 on 4/25/18Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

This was AMAZING! We were fortunate enough to score front row seats with our entire family and that only added to the greatness of this show (and in NC!). We felt every emotion; the music was fabulous and our hearts were full when we left. Highly suggest to all fans of live theater, Broadway, Steve Martin and Edie Brickell! You could certainly feel their influence throughout the show!!!

    Bright Star was extremely bright!!!

by RobP333 on 4/25/18Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

Wow!!! My wife and I were into this wonderful music from the opening curtain to the closing curtain. The cast and music were superb. What really was entertaining was the way the chorus moved the sets and set pieces around with precise flair. The show deserved the standing ovation it received at the curtain call. Thanks, Steve Martin and Edie Brickell for one of the best musicals I have ever seen.

    Great Performance

by 40Rad on 4/25/18Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

Saw the show in Raleigh, NC and live in the area. Enjoyed efforts to convey colloquial language and customs (a little overdone?). Actors were believable and endearing. Bluegrass group and pit musicians were amazing. Loved the blend of dialogue with music in this southern fairy tale.

Great Great Great!!! Would definitely recommend! Would try to find a theater that doesn't quite so many heavy wine drinkers and potato chip eaters - kind of took away from the experience.

    Great music, good story

by SuMo826 on 4/24/18Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

I remember seeing a song from Bright Star at the Tonys in 2016. I knew I wanted to see a show that was written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. It was a sweet story about love and hope. The cast was fabulous, and the musicians (most of whom were on stage in the "cabin" for the show, were amazing. I loved the music and the sweetness of the play. It was funny, but I also teared up. Great show - I'm really glad to have seen it.
