    He's Still Got It...!

by Joe on 3/13/24The Astro - La Vista

Brian and his band still put on a great show! He is a phenomenal guitarist who also is a great showman and so are his drummer and AMAZING bass player. So glad his tinnitus is under control so that he can tour and perform again! His voice was a little raspy (he said he was getting over a cold) but he soldiered on and his pipes seemed to get better and stronger as the night wore on. Hope he does his Christmas tour again and that it comes somewhere close to our area!

    Setzer @ Pachanga

by Lynn617 on 3/6/24Pechanga Resort Casino - Temecula

The show was very good! The crowd was also good. But the refreshments were lacking. There were very limited non-alcoholic drinks and the drinks were outrageously expensive. I recommend eating before attending anything here.

Brian Setzer puts on a fantastic show. Love his rockabilly style. I’d recommend it to one and all it is a family event.

    Awesome concert!

by Yrral905 on 3/6/24Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

While I own several Brian Setzer DVD's and CD's, seeing him perform in person for the first time was simply fantastic. His mastery of the electric guitar is as great as it was in the 1970's, but even better. The Rockabilly Riot venue with just drums and bass accompaniment created a wall of sound that was not excessively loud. I hope to see him perform again with his full orchestra.

Always at the top of his game

by RonBM on 3/5/24Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

Have seen Brian many times and it is always a treat. He also managed to change up the performances. Sometimes and orchestra, sometimes a trio and even Christmas shows. This show was the trip and it was an amazing show. Brian is Rockabilly.

Great theater for an incredible Rockabilly jam. Loved seeing Brian and hearing some of my favorite songs. From the small towns of Long Island to Vegas - Love This Guy!

    Great night!

by TB on 3/5/24Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

We loved Brian Setzer's show. My only feedback would be to reduce the middle guitar solo's a bit. It felt like it dragged a little bit. It is always a huge amount of fun seeing Brian Setzer and his band members.

Just What The Rockabilly Doctor Ordered! (pechanga 3/1)

    by humbuckinhoney on 3/4/24

What can I say about my fave guitar man? Mr. Setzer is amazing. The show, from start to finish, was wonderful. loved the opening band, too. That blues-y stuff .....well, it's all in the rockabilly well, isn't it? Terrific Yates and Kevin M, and I loved, loved loved Griffin's amazing drumming. (I'm gonna be pleased whenever there's a Hammond in the house). But on to Rockabilly Riot..... I've seen Brian probably over 200 times (I KNOW!!!) in the last 40 years.....the Stray Cats, the Orchestra (the Orchestra's had most of my attention) but have never seen Rockabilly Riot. It really WAS a Riot. Or, if you prefer, a Riot In Rockabilly. You and the boys pulled the stops out, Brian. It's impossible to pick a favorite song or moment, but Sleepwalk and the little detours that Brian takes, the little runs he pulls out of his Setzer-hat.....that's always wonderful for me. Stunningly so. And I had to laugh and love the small surf-guitar break in Gene and Eddie. Love it when you mix it up, Brian! Ummmm....I'm not sure what show JC (previous review of Pechanga show) went to, but I really didn't notice the things you found lacking. I will say this.....it's unlikely that anyone will have the same level of energy after 40 years or so of rockin'. The roar that went up when Brian asked if we wanted a Xmas tour should tell everyone *everything*. Yes, please. And thank you for all the joy and the music, Mr. S!

    Great show

by G-man on 3/4/24The Wiltern - Los Angeles

This wasn't a hi energy show by any means rather it was instead an incredibly laid back type of vibe with the confident coolness of a Brian Setzer guitar groove. It was Brian, his Gretsch and his band making a musical statement that said "this is how rock-a-billy is done...period!"

    Dissapointing

by Sgm on 3/4/24Pechanga Resort Casino - Temecula

I have seen Brian and the Stray Cats many times in the past 43 years, when he plays rockabilly he is awsome unfortunately the music he is currently playing literally makes me cringe. He seems to know everyone likes the older Stray Cat and other cover songs but he plays his new music insted that is really more jazz influenced than rockabilly. I almost walked out of the performance twice and we where happy when it was over. Hope he goes back to what made him famous.

    Too old to perform anymore

by JC on 3/4/24Pechanga Resort Casino - Temecula

Brian seemed tired and didn’t have the energy to put on a show anymore. Fans weren’t clapping much and he kept asking for more praise from the audience. Some of the songs were unrecognizable due to the low energy, struggling to remember the words, and being off the beat.

    the Concert was Good but...

by Rolls on 3/3/24The Wiltern - Los Angeles

It's laughable what the Wiltern did. They created a back row, row X behind the last aisle in the very back of the theater. Or course it didn't appear the way they depicted on the seating map. The problem wasn't the fact that people walking in front of you. They created the row using high chairs. That allowed us to see over the people who walked in front of us but, then they also had created a row with the same height chairs behind the true genuine last row and we couldn't see over those people. Fortunately complaining to management they were very nice and switched us balcony section seats. I didn't mind that because we had a better view of the concert. It would be helpful if they had noted that there was an opening act, and we could have arrived later (I know they would have sold then less food and booze if they did). Concert itself was good but, not as tremendous as the old Brian Setzer Orchestra shows in terms of the song selection. He needed to squeeze in more famaliar older tunes (not necessarily stray cat numbers) in between the newer stuff. Still it was good see him again after 5 years of not playing. Glad his hearing recovered sufficently to be able play live again.
