    Brian Regan is hilarious!

by SDfan on 7/12/09Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

Although we've seen Brian many times on Comedy Central, he performed completely new material that was just as funny. His comedy is very relatable and his facial expressions and body language make it even more entertaining. The only downside was when a drunk girl kept disrupting his routine to insist she couldn't hear. Somebody should have escorted her out of the show. He handled her beautifully, though. His reaction was really funny... the best part of the show. Priceless!

    Funny despite venue problems!

by cojadavi on 7/12/09Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

Brian Regan is hilarious and proved just how funny he is when the venue was having sound issues and he was able to rise and recover and even make a few improv jokes about it. Wish it has lasted for longer! We like him so much we flew to San Diego from the bay area to see him and would go see him again in a heartbeat.

    brian regan

by caine on 7/12/09Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

we simply had a great sweet time. my husband rich is a fan of brian regan so this was a surprised birthday treat from me to him. he made sure he was off duty from work that night. our seats was close to the stage and i was happy about that specially because this was a live show. at the beginning, there were technical issues. the audience from the right side of the house could not hear and understand the act. brian took a quick break while the technical crew troubleshoot that issue. people were getting anxious but were all a sport. finally, the show went on. brian made an impromptu joke about the whole scenario. this was our first time at copley symphony hall and i must say it is a very beautiful and spacious venue. it sure beats those comedy shows at small crampy smoky clubs. brian has good punch line and hit all the right humor. he has a very articulate and well modulated voice. what really fascinated me that not once did he say or use a foul language. something so extraordinary in today's stand up comedy world. it was just wholesome vocabulary with the comedic substance.

    Brilliant

by Shmayley on 7/11/09Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

This man is just pure hilarity. Even in the most difficult and unexpected of circumstances he made us fall to the floor laughing. He is so personable and unpredictable, and all of his jokes were new and current. There were some noticeable sound problems during the opening act and the beginning of Brian's, but after a couple brief intermissions they were able to fix the problem. My favorite part was when some belligerently drunk woman was complaining about the sound quality and that she couldn't hear Brian. She YELLS to him from house left until she gets his attention, and he just looks at her curiously for a second and goes ".....Something you'd like to say?" The entire audience just died!! About half an hour later I noticed she had quieted down, and when I looked over she was completely passed out in her seat. Amazing. I had a wonderful time, and I think anyone who has the chance to see him should definitely go!! You are in for some major belly laughs!!

    Brian Regan 10 ~ Copley Hall 0

by Cordier on 7/11/09Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

I premise this review confessing I’m a long time Brian Regan fan. While Brian eventually masterly entertained us, the venue was less than stellar. The sound system was so poorly adjusted, the entire first act was incomprehensible. We wound up watching the people next to the stage signing for the hearing impaired just to pass the time. The irony here is Copley Symphony Hall was the venue. Wouldn’t you think a symphony hall would have fine tuned the sound system? The show was delayed several times while the crew moved speakers at a glacial pace but eventually after 45 minutes or so Brian was able to continue entertaining us. And entertain us he did in spite of the unexpected delays which I guess was a great example of his natural talent.

by Kinimaroo on 7/11/09Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

We had a blast! We're still talking about it. We would definitely go again. There were some sound issues, but Brian more than made up for the technical problems. We have recommended him to all our friends. HILARIOUS and CLEAN. We LOVE that. Thanks Brian. You're the best.

by Tonto on 7/11/09Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

The old stuff was still as funny as the first time I heard it and the new stuff was very funny too. The opening act (his brother) was very good. I will see Brian Regan every time he comes to town.

brian regan was hilarious! the sound at copley was terrible. the entire opening act was difficult to hear. they had to stop the show when brian regan began because it was so bad. wasted about 20 to 30 minutes to fix the sound before he could begin again.
