Bret Ernst is a headliner in the top clubs across the country and has earned the sought after honor of marquee status on the Sunset Strip. Ernst will next appear as the host of the new Oxygen Series LOVE GAMES: BAD GIRLS NEED LOVE TOO. Bret can also be seen in his own 1/2 hour Comedy Central Presents special. He was most recently seen on the BET series ONE MIC STAND & the SHOWTIME series COMICS WITHOUT BORDERS. He also recently starred in the feature film VINCE VAUGHN'S WILD WEST COMEDY SHOW, now out on DVD. The film documents Ernst with Vaughn & three other comedians as they perform to sold out crowds in a 30 night-30 venue tour across America. Bret was a recurring character on the hit SHOWTIME series WEEDS, and has guest starred on CSI: NY. He appeared in Artie Lange's movie, BEER LEAGUE and hosted the series WRESTLING SOCIETY X on MTV. His stand-up has been featured on THE LATE LATE SHOW on CBS and on COMEDY CENTRAL'S PREMIUM BLEND. He has made celebrity appearances on E!'s CHELSEA LATELY, ABC's COMICS UNLEASHED, the TOP TEN on E! and THE SPORTS LIST/FOX. Born in New Jersey, Bret went to high school at Plantation High in South Florida, played collegiate level football at C.W. Post in New York, and currently resides in Los Angeles.
We've seen Brett perform years ago in West Palm @ The Comedy Club and he nailed it again. He's hilarious. Ritchie Cruz, the warm up, act was awesome as well. I'm still laughing about how he teased the couple who was dating for 6 years.
Two Great comdeians.....Bret Ernst was the headliner. His energy engaged the crowd in this beautiful new club at The Hard Rock which opened a month ago. Raw, funny, non-stop laughs. Made fun of life, politics, Himself, the crowd ( without being obnoxius--like other comedians). This guy is well worth the price we paid. Awesome----go see him.

Bret Ernst was fantastic and very funny. HOWEVER, the Comedy Club itself seemed to lack the ambiance and feel of the IMPROV that used to be there. The room just seemed kind of plain. I miss the Brick Wall back drop of the IMPROV. And the FOOD menu was NOT very enticing. We had a so-so pretzel and so-so empanadas. A rushed, very limited menu, printed on a small piece of paper we thought. We realize the Club just opened, but we hope they incorporate some of the look and feel of the sold IMPROV, and improve the menu. Great Comedians deserve a great stage and Venu!! DG

Nice venue. Strange to have no upper level bathroom and having to take an elevator down. Show was ok. Actually enjoyed the warm up comic Carlos Rodriguez to the headliner. He was hilarious!
Jimmy Kimmel’s is such a top notch comedy club. The Venue atmosphere, food, drinks and service were a great experience. Bret Ernst was amazing, had such a great time and haven’t laughed so hard in a long time! Highly recommend to visitors and locals .
First became obsessed with Bret when I saw him in Vince Vaughn’s wild wild west movie in 2008. I’ve seen him every year since when he comes to Philly or AC! He’s hilarious and you will literally die laughing. I love love love him!!!
Punchline SF is a great venue. Tucked away from plain sight, it is easy to miss, but once you're there, it's like a little oasis. The spot, itself, is both spacious and intimate, and the lighting during the shows is a lot better than the photo on the site would imply. As for the performers, the two guys that stood out were Pete Giovine and Bret Ernst. A definite must see, this duo of performers apparently go way back, and it shows. Highly recommend seeing them perform live, and catching their podcasts. Saw Bret perform for the first time on Wednesday and laughed myself silly. Had no idea what to expect when we went out to catch the show (I've seen Pete bring the house down before) but Bret absolutely killed it. He's raw, honest, and one of those smart guys hidden beneath a veneer of Bay Ridge ostentation. These two guys have something for everyone, and I sincerely recommend booking them again asap.
Awesome show! Non-stop belly laughs from beginning to end. Bret is the funniest person on this planet. Seen him four or five times now and he never disappoints. Always new and hilarious material with some favorite oldies thrown in there. I never want the night to end. Love him! If you've never seen Bret live, you need to put him on your bucket list !!!! You will leave his show ready for the next one!!! Venue and staff were awesome. Highly recommend!

This was the second time I saw Bret's show and I laughed my a$$ off! Go see him! I can't say the same for the venue... They don't take kindly to any heckling.
A group of 12 great girlfriends went for a girls night out and wished we had brought our husbands! He was hysterical and spot on in all his jokes!
I absolutley love Bret Ernst. It is rare he comes to the west coast so I make sure to catch his show when he is in town. His you tube videos do not do him any justice. Not only is he funny, but he takes the time after the show to talk to you and thank you for coming. Hope he comes back soon!!!
