BRANDON FLOWERS IN CONCERT:

Whether he's fronting The Killers or getting fans dancing with his synthpop-heavy solo work, Brandon Flowers is a consummate showman renowned for his powerful voice and flawless performances. Even though he packs the arena with tons of glitz, glam, and stunning visual effects, Flowers still forms a sincere connection with his fans on standouts like “Can’t Deny My Love” and “Crossfire” before indulging them with his countless hits from The Killers' catalog. Ticket buyers can’t help but swoon to his confident stage presence as he smoothly navigates the unique twists and turns of his dynamic setlist. With his album The Desired Effect still burning up the charts, Brandon Flowers is touring to bring his dance-worthy live show to cities across North America in 2015.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The youngest of six children, Brandon Flowers was born in Henderson, NV in 1981. After moving to Las Vegas he answered an ad posted by guitarist Dave Keuning in 2001, and they formed The Killers soon after. The group's 2004 debut Hot Fuss spawned a string of massive hits including “All These Things That I’ve Done”, “Smile Like You Mean It”, and “Mr. Brightside”, and was eventually named one of the "100 Greatest Debut Albums of All Time" by Rolling Stone. International success and critical acclaim followed the band in the ensuing decade with hit albums like Sam’s Town (2006) and Day & Age (2008). Flowers made his solo debut in 2010 with the album Flamingo, which premiered at no. 1 on the UK Albums Chart behind the success of powerhouse single “Crossfire”.  Flamingo proved that Flowers had more than enough material to spread between projects, especially when The Killers returned in 2012 with the hit album Battle Born. His sophomore solo effort The Desired Effect arrived in 2015, once again reaching the top spot in the UK. Brandon Flowers’ live shows continue to reach new heights of sophistication and sheen, even as he maintains an intimate connection with his fans thanks to his passionate and powerful songs.

  • Brandon left it all on the floor!

by chrisprm on 11/23/10Liberty Hall - LawrenceRating: 5 out of 5

I went "liking" Brandon's solo cd, and left LOVING it! He brought every song to life, showed how much each one of them meant to him, and gave us everything he had...awesome performance!

  • Brandon Flowers- cute and sensible

    by CollegeStudent29 on 11/23/10First Avenue - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

First of all, the venue which was First Avenue was amazing. The size is just right in which its small enough to get a good view of the performer yet big enough to feel like you are all squished in. The mood is very casual- it seems that most are just in the venue as a way to hang out with friends. There were some Brandon Flowers fans though, and they usually stood in the middle. If you are one who is in it for the music then Brandon Flowers is your type of performer. He is not much of a talker but he can sing. And that is what people want in the first place.

  • This Man is Amazing

by BrandonFlowersFan on 11/23/10First Avenue - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This was undoubtedly one of the best concerts I have ever been to. First Ave. was the perfect venue, not to big but not too small. Being front and center made the concert, I was so close to him! He sounded just as good, if not better, live as compared to his album. He also sang a few Killers songs. Overall, such an amazing experience.

  • Brandon Flowers at First Avenue!!!

by JessN on 11/23/10First Avenue - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Being a HUGE Killers fan, I know Brandon has an amazing stage presence. His passion for performing is captivating. I love his solo record even more so now after seeing him perform it live. With a few Killers songs in the mix, it was even better. I was a little disappointed with the crowd participation, but maybe they were just as enthralled as I was. I hope so.

  • Brandon Flowers is a great performer!

    by Janeane1974 on 11/23/10First Avenue - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I am a huge fan of The Killers because of Brandon Flowers, and he DELIVERED! His voice is fantastic, his energy, and his presence. I have only seen The Killers perform live on a DVD, so it was AMAZING to have the opportunity to see Brandon up close and personal in a small venue like First Ave. The crowd wasnt very exciting, so I hope Brandon and his crew don't think Minneapolis is a dull place to perform. PLEASE COME BACK!!!

  • Excellent Show

by MKTA on 11/23/10First Avenue - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Brandon Flowers is a wonderful performer. He went on stage and performed for the venue as if it was filled with thousands rather than hundreds. I felt that he gave the audience a show they would want to see again. The lighting was done exceptionally well. The show alternated between somber lighting and high energy lighting. One thing I love about Flowers is his use of silhouettes and shadow in the performance. I was disappointed that Flowers ended with a Killers song rather than one from his solo album. I believe the audience enjoyed hearing Killers songs, however, not as the final song that we left the performance with.

Okay, lets get real. Brandon Flowers is a total babe. Homeboy writes legit amazing pop songs. His performance style seriously makes me want to rip my own arms off and throw them on stage just so I can touch him.

  • Concept changing

by lovetheflowers on 11/22/10Liberty Hall - LawrenceRating: 5 out of 5

I wasn't 100% behind brandon flowers new album, I really round it hard to get into it. All that changed after seeing and hearing brandon flowers pour his heart and soul into the audience. He went into the back stories of this very personal album. He really brought me back to 100% loving his music

  • BFlow = Sensational!

by Seppo on 11/22/10Liberty Hall - LawrenceRating: 5 out of 5

Got in line for the show about an hour early. Once the doors opened we were center stage right at the front of the 2nd floor tier. Eye level with the band. Open act was good. Singer for the band Travis. I forget his name but he was a good singer/songwriter and very amusing. Good rapport with the crowd. Brandon came on with great enthusiasm and lots of energy. Really belted out the tunes and even climbed up on a set of speakers at one point. He's a quirky fellow though. Seems unstable to me, although he's a great entertainer. I've seen interviews with him and he's one odd duck. Probably why he is such an awesome performer and unbelievable song writer. His lyrics are out of this world. Go see the show peeps. You won't regret it.
