He was awesome! Very Funny. If you can not handle him making jokes of you, do not sit in the front!
Very funny standup routine, but definitely not for kids or people that are so politically correct that they can't laugh at stereotypes or themselves. His routine consisted mostly of picking out people in the audience and poking fun at them or telling very un-PC stories. "There are no stereotypes" was his favorite line. It was funny and you could tell he wasn't doing it out of malice, but in fun because his genuine smile would break thru. He also poked fun at himself. Since a good portion of his routine was improv based on the audience, you could tell when he was trying to think of something to say because he kept going back to the same people and saying basically the same things ... which did get kind of old after the same joke on the same person was repeated over and over. But overall we did alot of laughing and left the theater in a very good mood with smiles on our faces. The woman he had on before him (Jen Kober) was very funny also. Basically the same type of humor poking fun at people and herself.
The Brad Garrett show is exceptionally funny and one of the best comedy shows I have seen. Don'e miss it !!
Brad's below average performance. Very poor script. Based almost only on "insulting dialogues" with the front seaters. Not recommended if you have better alternatives.
Hilarious show can't wait to watch Brad Garrett when he comes to Chicago again.
This was by far one of the funniest shows I have seen in a while. Definitely for audience members over 18.
I thought the show was great....Sometimes you couldn't understand exactly what he was saying, but I'm not sure if that was the microphone or just him. Other than that, I thought he was funny, personable and above all very entertaining. I wasn't too crazy about the seating, but for that price you can't expect it to be like shows in Vegas.
Although, Brad was funny.. the show started 15 minutes late at 8:15 not 8 and the first act was on for 10-15 minutes, bringing Brad out around or after 8:30 and the show ended at 9:30 all together. Leaving the act itself only hour or so long.. for the money paid you would think it would of been longer, have been to many comedy acts and felt when it was over, saying to myself that is it? Especially when the questions he did took up alot of time. Wish it was longer..and there was no encore.
I could not believe how horrible this performance was. Brad Garrett is funny on TV but apparently not in person. He seemed to be disorganized and didnt really care about the perfomrance! Very disappointing!!! On a better note MGM is a very comfortable and friendly theatre.
Wasn't sure what to expect. We hadn't seen his stand up before. Adult content, but I'd heard much worse. Laughed almost the entire time. Don't sit in the front row or come in late if you don't want to be part of the show.
very good show had a great time would go back he was funny
Brad Garrett was absolutely hysterical! From the moment he walked on stage, we couldn't stop laughing. It was great that he didn't use old or prepared jokes, he used people in the audience to create his performance. FYI don't sit in the front row, if you don't want to be included in the act! The guy who opened for him was funny as well, kind of dry in the beginning but definitely also a funny guy!
I did not know what to expect, as I had never heard any of his stand up. He was very funny and entertaining.
I was laughing the entire time, he was great. You may be turned off by him if you like things sugar coated, because he is real and says off the cuff things in a hilarious way. It was a wonderful start to our vacation!
Brad Garrett was very funny, but at the expense of EVERYONE on the front row! He is very honest & doesn't hesitate to call anyone out! He doesn't leave anyone out of his show! Just make sure you &/or your date are not easily offended before buying these tickets. And if you think you are going to see "Robert" from every body loves Raymond....WELL THINK AGAIN! He is very raw & unfiltered in his standup. My husband and I really enjoyed the show, but we were glad that we didn't have front row seats! :-)
One of the best shows I've seen in twenty years. Toooooo funny.
We laughed the entire time he was on - haven't been to show that had that much audience involvement. Many memorable moments! Only wish his show was longer than one hour.
This is not the Brad Garrett you think you know. Robert is just a character on a TV show. Brad is the real deal in person. Not just a funny show but a fun experience all around!
A very good show! I would definitely see him again.
The show was real good for those of uns from the South. "Robert" thought that the boys might take he and "Kenny" out somewhere from where they might not return. But I think Brad held them off w. some good humor. He made them feel reassured that he had a small member and could be of no threat to them. Awesome hillarious. Im still laughing.
