  • A night of fun

by Greenland on 12/12/23SNHU Arena - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was awesome! The music was great and they added in just the right amount of fun. I hope they do it again next year!

  • Surprisingly comedic with the Pops

by Holiday music on 12/12/23SNHU Arena - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

With maestro Keith Lockhart at the helm, this was a wonderful, witty, and engaging evening of music and choir. The perfection of the Pops was in full swing and there were surprises of comedy scattered through out the performance. I left full of holiday spirit and look forward to attending future performances. We are indeed fortunate to have the Pops in New Hampshire during the hoildays.

  • Great performance, but

by Dave & Belle on 12/12/23SNHU Arena - ManchesterRating: 3 out of 5

I didn't pay for tickets to listen to a great PA system - I paid to hear a great orchestra. Unfortunately, we really couldn't hear the orchestra except through the speaker stack at stage right. It's really not the same. Part of this might be the venue - hockey stadiums aren't great acoustically, and the perimeter seating wasn't ideal. Part of the problem was the sound system's design. It wasn't reinforcing the orchestra - it was replacing it. The speaker stacks were hung well forward of the proscenium, but a properly designed system hangs them no further than the edge. It was also too loud, completely drowning out the orchestra. Done right, the volume level would be set so that the audience can't even tell there's a sound system being used. It just reinforces the natural sound. The seating was another problem. The area in front of the stage was reserved for large round tables rather than seats. The cost to sit there was prohibitive, and if you were unlucky enough to be seated with your back to the stage, you'd have to turn away from your friends. It would have been a much better experience if all the seating was in rows on the "ice"area. We were seated at floor level about center-ice, and got stiff necks looking to the left for two hours.

  • Excellent & enjoyable performance

    by John D on 12/12/23SNHU Arena - ManchesterRating: 4 out of 5

We really enjoyed attending the Boston Pops holiday performance, as it was a festive and first class concert. The choir that performed was also wonderful, and they sang an amazing and most entertaining version of the 12 days of Christmas! We do wish the Pops would have played a few more traditional songs of Christmas, and the concert was only ~ 2 hours total so wish they could have played a little longer. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys this genre of music, it will definitely bring you ample helpings of holiday joy!

What can you say about the Boston Pops. They always deliver! I would go just to hear their and the Metropolitan Chorale's version of "Twelve Days of Christmas". A real treat!!!

  • Great Show, OK Sound

by BlueEnamel on 12/13/22SNHU Arena - ManchesterRating: 4 out of 5

I’ve seen the Holiday show a number of times at Symphony Hall, but this is the first time at the SNHU Arena. The show was excellent as always. The performance and execution of the music was spot on, as expected. The only issue was the sound. It was good, but noticeably worse than Symphony Hall. We were in Section 108 in the second row from the floor. Maybe the sound was better in the center of the room. We’d still go again, but would make the trip into Boston for the sound.

As always, the Boston Pops Orchestra and the Metropolitan Choir were fabulous! There was a perfect mix of sacred and fun music! The encore of I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas was absolutely beautiful and made us cry. All in all, a wonderful evening!

The best rendition of 'Silent Night' I have ever heard. The arrangement for 'The 12 Days of Christmas' was clever, funny and just amazing! Can't wait to attend again next year!

  • Spectacular Experience

by Susie on 12/16/21SNHU Arena - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

From the minute we drove into the VIP lot to the very end the experience could not have been more perfect. The arena was so well organized. Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops were out of this world. It was my daughters first time seeing the orchestra and she was fixated at the beauty of the music and all the talent present. She is a percussionist as well so she was listening to every beat. :-) Thank you for making this experience a great one for myself, my daughter and my parents. Happy Holidays! Will be there next year.

  • A night to remember

by Laurie on 12/15/21SNHU Arena - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

From VIP parking to excellent seats this concert could not have been better. Everything was top notch. Arena seating sucks but that is the venue not the POPS!!

The musical choices were soul soothing and brought tears of joy to my eyes!! Have taken another experience off the bucket list. On to Symphony Hall :-)

  • Best Night Out

by AM on 12/15/21SNHU Arena - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

It was wonderful to see the Boston Pops perform again this year. They put on a wonderful show. I missed the singalong at the end of the night but understand why it was eliminated. I’ll be back next year and hope we can resume the singalong!
