Boston Bruins History
Established in 1924, the Boston Bruins were the first American team to join the NHL. They won their first of six Stanley Cup championships in just their fifth season in 1929, defeating the defending champions New York Rangers. It was the first Stanley Cup championship to feature two U.S. teams. The Bruins added championships in 1939 and 1941, and between 1943 and 1958 they reached the final five more times.
After the arrival of future Hall of Famers Bobby Orr (a three-time MVP) and Phil Esposito (one of the greatest goal-scorers of all time and the first player to score 100 points in a season), the Bruins won Stanley Cup Championships in 1970 and 1972. The image of Orr flying through the air after scoring "The Goal" in overtime to defeat the St. Louis Blues in 1970 is one of the most memorable in hockey history.
On April 9, 2023, the Bruins beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3, marking their 63rd win of the season and setting a new NHL record for the most single-season wins. They made history again on April 12 when they reached 133 points scored in a single season thanks to a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals, besting the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens for the NHL team with the most points scored in a single season.
Twenty-nine straight appearances in the Playoffs followed — a record among all professional sports — including Stanley Cup Final appearances in 1974, 1977–1978, 1988, and 1990.
After a two-decade absence, the Bruins returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 2011, defeating the Vancouver Canucks in a thrilling seven-game series behind the goaltending of Tim Thomas. To date, the Bruins have made 20 appearances in the Stanley Cup Final, including most recently in 2019. Legendary players who have worn the Bruins’ jersey include Hall of Famers Cecil "Tiny" Thompson, Eddie Shore, and Aubrey "Dit" Clapper.

Boston Bruins at TD Garden
Since opening in 1995, Boston's famed TD Garden has hosted more than 200 sports and concert events a year. The award-winning state-of-the-art TD Garden is New England's largest sports and entertainment arena, and doubles as the home of the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics of the NBA. In 2014, the arena underwent a comprehensive renovation to give the fan experience an upgrade with redesigned concourses, new concession offerings and upgraded technology. Located in the heart of Boston and convenient to public transportation and tourist attractions, TD Garden can host 17,850 fans per game.
The Boston Bruins’ 2023–24 regular season kicks off in October at home as the Bruins face off against the Chicago Blackhawks. To celebrate the team’s centennial season, Boston will host five Era Nights honoring various teams and players from throughout the team’s history on October 28, November 18, December 16, January 20 and March 7. The Bruins play their final game of the regular season at home against Atlantic Division opponents the Ottawa Senators. Here’s a list of key games to keep an eye on:
For the 2023–24 season, the Boston Bruins have updated their logo with a special “anniversary crest” to celebrate the team’s centennial. The logo was revealed by the Bruins in June 2023 and uses several design elements celebrating the team’s past.

There is nothing better than attending a Boston home sporting event.
The venue was excellent, food was great and the company was, by far, the best.
Great game but the refurbished seats at the Garden are a real challenge. Many have already noted that elsewhere but it's worth mentioning - be prepared to be in tight space. Seats are definitely shorter and narrower than previous. We usually attend at least one B's game in Fall and one in Spring (same with Celtics) but I and my two companions will likely pass on going to another game this season because of the tight seats. By the way, none of us would be considered large. I am 5'2", medium weight, but with a down jacket and purse, there was no room to spare.
Great events and seats. Only complaint when buying suite seats online I could not purchase 4 seats in a row of 4 that were available. I kept getting an error message stating I was leaving an open seat. This was not the case as there were only 4 seats in that row. Something you should probably get corrected.
This was our first visit to the Boston TD Garden as we are from Philadelphia and this was a hockey trip into “enemy territory”. The arena was very, very nice. I was concerned as we had balcony seats and I feared we would be in a nose bleed section. The layout of the stadium was such that the balcony provided a great view, and we loved our center ice seats. The arena was in a convenient location (busy of course at game time) but we got there early, had an excellent pre-game meal at A&B Burgers across the street, and had a wonderful experience. We parked at the Government Center Garage that was an 8 minute walk away but away from the arena congestion, so we got in and out fairly easily and stress free. It was busy, but you have to expect that, and easily addressed by arriving early. The Boston fans were very kind to the Philly visitors. We had a great time in a fun, safe location.
Bruins look like they are in mid-season form. The new seats in the Garden are definitely smaller than the old yellow ones.
I Love the Ticketmaster app and mobile tickets, it just makes things so simple and convenient. I also love when I buy tickets to a game and my favorite team wins. This was an awesome trip!
I enjoy each visit to the (I'm from the old school) "Boston Garden". The only problem?? The Bruins lost.
We had fourth row lodge seats and there wasn’t any leg room at all. YOU NEED TO FIX THIS
The game was great and the view from the seats was great. We were sitting in the disabled seating section otherwise my husband would not have fit. My husband is 6"4" and would not fit in the "new" seating at the Garden. What they have done to the seating is ridiculous. You can't fit in the seats unless you are under 5". Until the seating is fixed I won't be going to any events at the Garden.
I've been going to games for over 30 years. One of my favorite things to do. Win or lose, it's always a great time. Recently they made the seats narrower with less leg room so they could cram in about two thousand seats around the arena. The seats have padding now which is nice but they are so small and tight that if I sit back my back is touch the knees of the person behind me. Also you cannot help but touch the people on either side of you for the entire game. The experience is terrible. I'd rather watch games at home now. Sitting in those seats is now extremely uncomfortable. Way to go TD garden!
Had a blast! It was great watching the Bruins. However, the new seats at the Boston Garden are way too small. Cramped in there like sardines. The experience is a five star, but because of the seats had to give it a four star rating.
Loved the experience. The crowd was into it, the services were fantastic, pro shop very well stocked and helpful. Only downside was the cramped quarters. I'm 6'3" so I was likely going to feel a little squished in regardless but the new seats made it worse. Not unbearable, but here's hoping they get better!
Great game, right on the glass. They tossed a puck to my son. That alone made it worth it.
When i spent $300 for 2 tixkets to see rhe Bruins play rhe Blackhawks i expected to see two professional hockey teams play each other - I saw one. The Bruins suited up there entire roster and played like professionals. Apparently the Blackhawks "A" team played in Berlin., and we got a minor league team as a replacement. Not a single star on the ice for the Hawks. Had the game been promoted that way, i would have saved my money. Shame on the NHL for charging full price for these tickets when they knew all along that we were paying for minot league hockey. Never again.
Came from out of town to take my mom to the Bruins' game. Perfect Ticketmaster purchase from my phone. Watched the view from my seats before I bought. Perfect all around. Was better that they won.
This was my 2nd NHL game. Game 5 was my first. The garden and its fans are electric!!!! I’m looking to return in round 2....
Bruins held Leafs to no score and had few opportunities on their end to score. They looked passive.
Lines went quickly, easy to find seats with help of staff. Beverages a little over priced. Had a great time.
Although I was disappointed that at the last regular season game some of my favorite players were not playing I still had a great time with my husband! Drinks are a little over priced but we love the Bruins so we go!
