BONOBO IN CONCERT:
Bonobo is constantly testing the boundaries of the ever-expanding landscape of electronica, pioneering new sonic territory with his downtempo, percussive style. Combining ambient sounds and lush synths, Bonobo creates a dream world for fans to escape to during his live shows, mesmerizing audiences with abstract tracks like “Kirra” and “Cirrus.” Whether he’s performing solo or with a 12-piece band, Bonobo will reward fans with his distinct sound and stunning visuals on 2014's The North Borders Tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Simon Green, a.k.a. Bonobo, got his start probing drum machines and producing music in his hometown in rural Britain. This sparked his passion to DJ full time, which included playing local gigs and releasing his 2000 debut Animal Magic under the moniker Bonobo. Since then, he’s collaborated with artists like Erykah Badu and Grey Reverend (Cinematic Orchestra), performed at the world-renowned Coachella festival, and played sold out shows worldwide. The North Borders Tour 2014 will be just as electrifying as Bonobo treats fans to old favorites alongside new tracks from his 2013 fifth studio release.

by labene on 4/7/10Paradise Rock Club - BostonThe opening band was GREAT! I even bought their cd last night at the show. Bonobo was INCREDIBLE.The sound, the number of people, no lines for the bars.... The place was clean, the bathrooms were kept clean thru out the concert. Great job!
Rating: 4 out of 5 Bonobo is actually great live
by AllstonMusicFan on 4/7/10Paradise Rock Club - BostonI am a fan of Bonobo but usually listened to them while working or chilling with friends. So I was very skeptical when a friend suggested we go to the concert. The show turned out to be great fun and I would definitely watch them live again.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Great show , could have been awesome
by NinjaTune on 4/7/10Paradise Rock Club - BostonBonobo put on a great show, only hindered by the quality of the sound system. The complex structures and layers that drive so much of their music were at times lost, this was especially true for the vocalist and the flute. This was my first time at this venue, so I am not sure whether this was (is) a limitation of the place. But overall a very, very solid performance.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Bonobo- great experience !!!!!
by Natalie108 on 4/7/10Paradise Rock Club - BostonThe music was absolutely fantastic! People also felt safe and there weren't any fights or pushing's. The youngsters did not try to get alcohol and everyone acted very mature. The crowding was perfect and it was not too hot. Andrey was marvelous ! the sounds and the lightning were great!
Rating: 5 out of 5by SnatchyMacNasty on 4/6/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK Probably the best concert I've ever been to. Incredible.
Rating: 3 out of 5 Opener Better Than Headline Act
by MAN80085 on 4/6/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKBonobo Live Band is a talented bunch of musicians with a variety of instrumentation and sounds reminiscent of Cinematic Orchestra but pale by comparison and just lacked a certain inspiration. Andreya Triana as guest vocalist did raise their depth but I was just a little disappointed overall. Openers The Invisible are a force to be reckoned with. Worth the price of admission alone! They were far superior live and musically. Bowery Ballroom is a good space for a gig.
Rating: 5 out of 5 bonobo. amazing.
by amybrooks22 on 4/6/10Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyni've been a big fan of bonobo for a while and i always get nervous when someone i like so much puts out a new album for fear that they won't do themselves justice. thank god bonobo knows what they are doing. the new album is amazing. for years i've been wishing for a show close to where i live (DC). brooklyn was close enough and i made the well-worth-it drive up on easter to finally see bonobo live. it was better than i expected. only complaint was that it was too short. they should've played for at least 4, maybe 5 hours. haha.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Bonobo @ Bowery Ballroom
by StrongerThanDirt on 4/6/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKPerforming with a live band made this show far more interesting. The intimate setting and small size of the Bowery Ballroom made this venue perfect for Bonobo. Simon Green Played Bass along with a full band including Bajka laying down some smooth vocals.

by McNeelie on 4/5/10Tralf - BuffaloI'm not a big fan of live music, but that's been changing with shows like this. Bonobo's performance was everything I expected and more. A classy, jazzy, and beautiful atmosphere set by a group of very talented musicians; easily one of the best shows I've ever attended.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Bonobo!!!
by JaymanErie on 4/5/10Tralf - BuffaloI thought this man/ band put on an amazing show. I could've grooved and rocked my socks for many hours after the band was over, but for while they were on stage, I was enthralled! The staff of the Tralf were anything except for nice, but the bartenders weren't half bad and drinks weren't overly expensive. Bonobo will be very, very famous in the near future, and everyone in Buffalo will be upset they missed this show!
Rating: 5 out of 5 amazing show
by vanessamontero on 4/5/10Music Hall of Williamsburg - BrooklynIt's always a treat for me to know that a band that i love is as good live as they are in my headphones.... even better! Bonobo killed The music Hall, what a perfect Sunday evening.
