BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB IN CONCERT:
British indie rockers Bombay Bicycle Club had no idea they were going to last when they named themselves after an Indian restaurant chain in 2005. Nine years later, the band released their fourth studio album, 2014's So Long, See You Tomorrow — a merciful end to the three-year waiting period their fans have had to endure since 2011's A Different Kind of Fix. Following a home turf British tour in early 2014, the band will treat North American fans to their intricately layered live show, including a highly anticipated appearance at Coachella.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Fronted by Jack Steadman on vocals, the members of Bombay Bicycle Club began playing music together at age 15, enjoying several incarnations before eventually naming themselves Bombay Bicycle Club. The band scored an upset in 2006, beating out hometown favorites The Holloways to win Virgin Mobile's "Road to V" battle of the band's competition, earning two victory sets at the high-profile V Festival. The band's 2009 debut LP I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose was a hit in the UK, scoring them NME's Best New Band award in 2010 —an honor for which they beat out Mumford & Sons. With follow-ups Flaws (2010) and A Different Kind of Fix (2011), Bombay Bicycle Club cemented their place as one of Britain's brightest young talents.

I had pretty high expectations going into the concert, but I was completely blown away. They played with amazing energy and kept the show fun the whole time. I will see them again!
An amazing band with lots of great songs. The venue was an amazing place and they gave out free apples!!!
BBC consistently puts on a great show. They bring so much energy to the stage, and just kill it. The crowd was awesome, and the Fillmore is a great venue.
Bombay was amazing. The band had so much energy! Loved every second
I LOVED THEE SHOW MAHN Super fun and energetic performance by the band. They really do connect with you and get everybody dancing on your feet. I highly recommend seeing them :) Jack was sick that night but still pulled through with a very memorable and meaningful performance.
Bombay was absolutely great live. Although Jack was a little bit sick, he still sounded amazing and got some positive responses from the audience. They haven't released any new albums or anything, so all the songs they performed were the REALLY GOOD tracks from their previous albums. I enjoyed hearing Shuffle, Always Like This, and Lights Out, Words Gone. I came around 20 minutes before the performance and there was a long line already. I managed to get around 5 feet away from the band so I got lucky! This was my first time at the Fonda, and the interior design of the place is deck. There's a bar for those of you who are over 21. The downside of the night for me was the fact that my friends and I waited around 40 minutes for the opening act, The Vacationers to go on. The opening act was really good! It was a chill synthpop/indie band from Philadelphia. I think the lead singer was high, but he got a pretty good crowd. Overall, you got to see Bombay, they're the cutest.
Absolutely incredible. I'd recommend them to anyone who enjoys a powerful array of layers and music that makes people jump or nod to the melody as much as the beat. Wonderful venue, and happy people. The openers had an ambient air about them; great to get the mood going. Jack Steadman (BBC lead vocals) wasn't feeling too well, and had to walk off the stage. Coming back 10 minutes later with bottles of water, he nevertheless kept going, sounding great and letting himself have a great time. An entrancing performance by every member of the band pulled the audience along. I'd only heard a few songs by the band before this concert, but I'm more than glad that I went. I'd definitely see them again if they returned to LA.
Amazing show! I went with a friend to keep her company and I didn't know the band. I'm a fan now and can't wait for them to come back! I'm glad that I had a small chat with the. opening act and BBC. I hope they keep their promise on giving a free show when they come. back to L.A. that way I can bring more friends to enjoy the show.
Although Jack went off for about 10 min because he wasn't feeling well, he still performed for the audience and i'm truly touched by his devotion to giving the audience what they wanted. the band is amazing. i love them.
they are an amazing band to see live, they radiate tons of energy . But I kinda felt guilty having jack perform when he was feeling under the weather:( but he was a trooper and stuck it out. As For Vacationer there set was quite nice , these guys are very down to earth.
Singer got sick in the middle of the set. He had to leave the stage for 10 minutes. It was uncomfortable and you could tell it affected the overall performance. I will never see this band live again.
This was a grear event!! To my surprise the opening band Vacationer from Philadelphia was as good and even better than the main band of the night Bombay Bicycle Club. Overall both bands provided his fans an akmazing musical night
Their show was absolutely FANTASTIC despite the lead singer being sick!! I can't even imagine how much better it would have been had the singer been feeling 100%. Really energetic show, great sound and awesome crowd! Can't wait to see them again!
I was so impressed by BBC! They sounded perfect live. Just like the album. They put on such a great show and gave it their all.
This band played perfectly and were obviously having fun while performing. Great energy and sound. I will see them every chance I get.
Bombay Bicycle Club (headliner) and Vacationer (opening act) were great! Would definitely recommend checking out the show if they come to a city near you.
This was my third time seeing BBC, and most definitely the most memorable experience I have had in their crowd. They came ready to rock - and definitely amused both newcomers and seasoned fans alike. Their setlist was stacked with old favorites as well as two new songs and the mix kept the show moving along with a steady rhythm- (maybe it was Jack on the drum?) The new songs may suggest hat the band may have a heavier rock album in store for us, and for many BBC fans this is GREAT NEWS!!! These guys (and lady) are a solid group of musicians who have mastered the ability to captivate their audience (the crowd was wild) and left us all wanting more! MORE! MORE!!
Amazing show!! Very cool venue and organized staff!
I haven't had this much fun at an event in soooo long! Watching Jack sing is intoxicating and he seems genuinely happy in an indescribable way! Go Go Go!!!
