About

BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB IN CONCERT:

British indie rockers Bombay Bicycle Club had no idea they were going to last when they named themselves after an Indian restaurant chain in 2005. Nine years later, the band released their fourth studio album, 2014's So Long, See You Tomorrow — a merciful end to the three-year waiting period their fans have had to endure since 2011's A Different Kind of Fix. Following a home turf British tour in early 2014, the band will treat North American fans to their intricately layered live show, including a highly anticipated appearance at Coachella.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Fronted by Jack Steadman on vocals, the members of Bombay Bicycle Club began playing music together at age 15, enjoying several incarnations before eventually naming themselves Bombay Bicycle Club. The band scored an upset in 2006, beating out hometown favorites The Holloways to win Virgin Mobile's "Road to V" battle of the band's competition, earning two victory sets at the high-profile V Festival. The band's 2009 debut LP I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose was a hit in the UK, scoring them NME's Best New Band award in 2010 —an honor for which they beat out Mumford & Sons. With follow-ups Flaws (2010) and A Different Kind of Fix (2011), Bombay Bicycle Club cemented their place as one of Britain's brightest young talents.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"I was so impressed by BBC! They sounded perfect live. Just like the album. They put on such a great show and gave it their all."

"This band played perfectly and were obviously having fun while performing. Great energy and sound."

"They came ready to rock - and definitely amused both newcomers and seasoned fans alike. Their setlist was stacked with old favorites as well as two new songs and the mix kept the show moving along with a steady rhythm."

    Bombay Bicycle Club was incredible!

by Andrew M on 10/1/19The Fillmore - San Francisco

This band just keeps getting better and better. One of the best drummers I have ever seen, as he plays so effortlessly, and is technically brilliant. The show was tight and the sound was very good. The BBC are one of the few intelligent bands that understand that louder is not better. Clear clean sound with no distortion is a much better representation of their artistry. Just loved them, and when you hardly know any songs at all, and still love the show, that is the sign of a great show!!

Best Concert I’ve Ever Been To

    by M. N. on 10/1/19The Fillmore - San Francisco

This concert was legitimately so, so, so good. The Greeting Committee (the opening act) were hands down the most energetic performers I’ve ever seen. The lead singer was so incredibly engaging, and got everyone so hyped she was able to successfully crowd surf towards the end of the performance. And then Bombay Bicycle Club came on, and they kept up with the pace and played an incredible show, one that moved me to tears a few times. Please, if you have the chance to see either of these bands in concert, do it. You won’t regret it.

    BOM Bae

by Samtamtata on 11/7/14Terminal 5 - New York

Bombay was great!!! The sound and energy was amazing. Terminal 5 is my favorite venue. I've been there about 10 times in 2 years and I went to the bathroom there for the first time at this show. It's extremely clean and well kept! Everything was amazing!

    Bad sound. Poor music.

by AlvaroDV on 10/28/14Terminal 5 - New York

Unfortunately, the live sound of Bombay bicycle club has nothing to do with the recorded album sound. They couldn't reach in the concert any quality or interest that I thought I listened in the album. The sound was poor, not worked at all, I just could listen the loud drums. Cheap sound, all the songs seamed to be the same one. They tried to give opwer to all the songs but it was just loud noise. We stayed almost until the end to see if there was any improvement, but not at all. Big disappointment with this group. Not recommend at all.

Did not play thier new hits!

    by j2534a on 10/27/14Masquerade - Atlanta

If a band only has 2 albums, one expects them to play the best off of both.

Great end to North American tour!!!

    by BBCfan1995 on 10/27/14Masquerade - Atlanta

BBC was on fire at the Masquerade. They played many of the popular songs from the last two studio albums and a good bit from "I had the Blues, but I shook them loose". The atmosphere was incredible. The only complaint I have is with the venue. BBC played at the top largest level of this historic venue in Atlanta called Heaven, but you could hear the bass from another band coming through the floor during the ballads, which made it difficult to hear. That's the Masquerade's fault though, awesome show!

Had high expectations - they were exceeded

by Gordeeni on 10/27/14Terminal 5 - New York

BBC were really up for it - so was the crowd. This combined with a pretty intimate venue and an excellent sound system made for a great night.

    Exceptional live performance

by Parasito on 10/25/14Terminal 5 - New York

Bombay bicycle club performed at the music venue terminal 5. The venue is great, it's very spacey and has a nice stage with awesome lighting. The place feels good with a fun atmosphere. The employees their are friendly and work quickly. Bombay toured with milo Greene and Luxley. They swoon you off your feet and make you dance and sing along. They really know how to put on a show. Totally wroth seeing live they were amazing! I had a great time and would deffinetly watch them perform again.

    Take me back!

by Salmaaaa on 10/25/14Terminal 5 - New York

I've seen them every single time they have performed in NYC. They know how to mellow you down and zone you out and then BAM, they could have you rocking out. Jack Steadman gets so lost in his music when he sings and when he hears the crowd sing along, he has the biggest smile on his face. I def recommend every person I know, to go to one of their concerts. When they come down to NYC, their shows always sell out and quick and it's an obvious reason why, it's because they're so great.

Nothing better than seeing BBC live

by dzineguy on 10/21/14House of Blues Boston - Boston

great musicians, fantastic harmonizing, incredible energy, the records don't do this band justice

    BBC is definitely worth it.

by DisMahName on 5/30/14Royale Boston - Boston

Royal Canoe was a great opener (if confusing with the venue title), and BBC rocked even more. Both bands were pretty earnest about having fun and playing great music. They're even better live, and make you rock with them--not sway awkwardly like I'd imagined.

    Totally wicked!!

by bologna1 on 5/24/14House of Blues - Houston

Extremely great band. When they took stage, I was expecting Jack Steadman's soft voice to put me in a dreamy state but upon entering on stage, they exceeded my expectations! Their airy but lively sound made the atmosphere both calming and a place where you could get down. The set list was perfectly orchestrated together with songs that were perfectly balanced as it progressed from dancey pop tracks like "Home by Now" to more evocative sounds like "Eyes off You". Overall, the night was just amazing. They hit every single feeling I could feel and I was won over by their beautiful sounds and inherent charisma. Ending the night with "Carry Me" as the encore, it ended the day with the band headbanging and the audience singing the whole way through. Awesome experience. I would see them again. Also, Ed Nash is the man!!

One of the best live performances I've seen. BBC rocked out with amazing energy, solid stage presence and great sound. The Webster Hall floorboards took a beating as the entire crowd got really into it.

Great concert but too many strobe lights

by TurboJazz on 5/13/14Webster Hall - New York

As it was my first concert and i was going with my girlfriend, I was excited to go as i loved the band. It was fantastic, and I had a great time, but we had to leave early because the strobe lights were too much and it gave us really bad headaches. Would love to see Bombay Bicycle Club again, but would like to see far less strobe lights then they used.

Excellent Show with and Excellent Opener

by Krut on 5/13/14Webster Hall - New York

The way Bombay Bicycle Club's music translates live is great. They chose an appropriate set list that was both a crowd pleaser and also showcased some of their lesser known songs. The majority of the set was off the new album, with a few songs from their first album and one or two from A Different Kind of Fix. The sound was awesome in Webster hall and the crowd was into it. I was happy to be able to hear the vocals really well from almost anywhere in the room. The mix was overall excellent. The band's visuals were well thought out and had a great theme as the set progressed. Great night/performance overall.

    BBC Concert

by Syd352 on 5/12/14Webster Hall - New York

Gave an amazing show that the entire audience got into. We could feel the floor moving from everyone jumping up and down and dancing along to the music. The band could even feel the floor move! An excellent show overall and I can't wait to see them again!
