Very well acted! Excellent presentation by the entire cast! I especially enjoyed the monologue by the ‘chorus’ girl at the end! Wrapped up the very complex story perfectly!!

    Acting well done, interesting story

by MomToSix on 10/11/21Danny Peterson Theatre at the Morrison Center - Boise

My husband and I enjoyed The River Bride. We went as just enjoying a night out, we don't know anyone affiliated with the play. I felt like the acting was good, especially for a smaller venue. I especially enoyed the father in the story. The scenery was very well done and I also quite enjoyed feeling like the audience is there, in the river, watching the events unfold. My only complaint would be the two times when one of the women in the cast gets dressed. Yes, the lights are dimmed and you mostly see shadow, but it still seemed unnecessary to me. The other female lead who changed outfits was able to do so off stage. But, overall an enjoyable night out and we are glad we went.

    Wonderful show!

Touching story with heartfelt delivery by all the actors. Innovative scenic design and masterful lighting were the perfect backdrop for this intimate theater. We were talking about this performance for days.

    Great Play

by J. A. on 3/9/20Danny Peterson Theatre at the Morrison Center - Boise

An enjoyable evening. I haven't been in that theater before and I love it. The chairs leave a little to be desired but you forget about that as soon as the play begins. The actors were all wonderful and add in Minerva Jane and it is a cast hard to beat. The addition of singing and dancing was a bonus. The setting and props didn't take away from the acting. What a universal subject to present and as worth exploring after all these years. PS I got the shirt.

    disappointed

by Able Body on 3/8/20Danny Peterson Theatre at the Morrison Center - Boise

A very cute play but the acting needed a lot of work. It felt like they memorized the lines without much thought to characters being played.

    Great performance

by R. on 3/12/19Boise State University Special Events Center - Boise

In a small, yet intimate theater and a production with a low budget this was an excellent performance! The quality of the actors shined brightly! The Stellar efforts of the production crew we're obvious!
