About Bob Marley Comedian

Bob Marley Comedian Live

As a comedian who's done thousands of shows in over 15 countries, Bob Marley is one of American comedy's most seasoned performers. In 2010, he made history when he entered the Guinness Book of World Records by setting a new record for longest continuous stand-up routine at 40 hours. Yet in spite of all that time on the road and all that time talking, this native of Bangor, Maine, still has the unmistakable New England accent that's long been a signature of his unique and reliably sharp comedic sensibility.

Marley has been entertaining audiences since his professional debut at a health fair in Maine in 1991. He went on to hone his skills in the comedy clubs in Los Angeles and Boston before touring widely in the U.S. and internationally.

In 1999, Marley was cast as a detective in The Boondock Saints, the Boston-set crime thriller starring The Walking Dead 's Norman Reedus, which became one of the era's biggest cult hits. Marley reprised the role in the 2009 sequel The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. He also appeared as a stand-up on such shows as Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Comics Unleashed and Comedy Central Presents.

Marley's many comedy albums include 3000 Shows Later (1997), I'm Tellin' You (2002) and Maine-iac on the Loose! (2008).

Bob Marley Comedian Background

A seasoned stand-up who couldn't be prouder of his New England roots, Bob Marley was born in 1967 in Bangor, Maine. (He jokes that his parents had no idea there was a singer with the same name.) He began performing professionally while attending the University of Maine at Farmington, making his stage debut at a health fair.

After becoming part of the comedy community in Boston, Marley developed an observational style that draws heavily on his life growing up in Maine. He continued to build his reputation as a uniquely skilled performer after moving to Los Angeles and performing on such shows as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. He also toured nationally and internationally, becoming a regular at the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs in Montreal.

Marley made a major impression on viewers when he played a detective in the 1999 film hit The Boondock Saints, later reprising his role for the 2009 sequel.

Released in 1997, his comedy album 3000 Shows Later was the first in a series of over 25 CDs and DVDs that convey Marley's confidence, wit and New England–style charm as a live performer.

My partner and I went to see Bob live after listening to his content online. We had a great time! The performance went on for an hour and some change and, let me tell you, there was laughter from the crowd just about every minute of it! We love Bob’s regional humor, relatability, and the voices! We’re hoping to see him live again in the future.

    Great show!! Venue..

by Ousted 1 on 1/2/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

Love Bob Marley! The Chevalier is a terrible venue. Seats are tiny (from the 1940s), and the staff came to halt me from taking a non flash still photo but allowed 7 of 10 people around me to talk out loud with no concern. The bathrooms all located in one spot. Done with that place..

Bob Marley never disappoints with his shows. He was terrific and did a lot of physical comedy this time because he had a bigger stage. I see him every chance I get!!

    Lots of Laughs

by Mal on 1/2/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

I saw Bob in Medford on Dec 30th. He was excellent. I enjoy his down home humor. It is always clean with no excess profanity. I also like that he never picks on his wife or laces his show with explicit sexual content. At my age, 75 that is greatly appreciated. Have told friends and family not to miss his next Medford Show. He is hilarious.

by Fantastic show! Never pass up the opportunity to see Bob Marley on stage!! on 1/2/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

A great show that had us laughing from start to finish. We’ll see him again and again! The bright lights below the video screen at the Chevalier Theater were very harsh and should be dimmed during the show.

3rd time seeing him. This time with our 3 adult kids who loved him as much as we did. We never leave with a dry eye. He's hysterical & we can relate to most of his family jokes. Definitely worth seeing time & again! Great job Bob -
