    Meh

by Play watcher on 4/2/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Show is kind of short, tickets were overpriced, the non-stop rumble noise of talking children and parents kind of ruined the show as it drowned out the audio. I wouldn't recommend it.

Kids loved it. And I guess that's what matters here.

by AJ on 4/2/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I will start off by saying the puppetry, set design and story was fantastic. My daughters, (6 & 10), absolutely loved the show. But let's be honest here. This is simply a money grab for what's hot right now. It was essentially a re-telling of an episode, but with puppets, balloons and bubbles. It is also only 40 minutes long. By the time you get done spending hundreds of dollars for the show, parking, food, light up toys, and find your seats...the show is over. Looking over and seeing my daughters grinning from ear to ear, laughing, singing and enjoying every seconds makes it all worth it.... I suppose. Lastly, the only thing I would encourage is to turn the volume up just a tad more, so we can hear the show over the thousands of little screams. In conclusion, I enjoyed the fact that my girls enjoyed it. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

    Bluey play was super cute

by Robin m on 4/2/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I loved how they told a story that probably is played out in houses all over America. My only complaint was afterwards when they did keepy uppy but didn’t include the upper levels. Hard to explain to a three year old why she couldn’t play. Other than that we loved it

    Waste of money and time

by Renee on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The show started at 6:00pm and was over at 6:45pm which is ridiculous for the amount of money that was spent on tickets. It’s could have went longer for the kids! It was a waste of time and money

A wonderful experience, even without children

by Jax H. on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I’m a 22-year-old autistic person with no plans of having children, and Bluey is my absolute favorite. I was waiting for years for this show to come around to my area and my expectations have been exceeded. To date I’ve seen it in person five times, and much like the TV show on which this stage production is based, it gets better with repeat viewings. Not only does it have a great message about being a good sibling, but it’s also hilarious (and emotional when it needs to be). Perfect run time for the kids too - too short and they’d be begging for more, too long and they’ll probably get antsy in their seat wanting to get up and go. The scriptwriter (who also happens to be the creator of the TV show) did a wonderful job with the pacing in this regard - leaving plenty of room to enjoy the moment but also keeping things moving forward. Audience participation moments are here as to be expected for the “target audience,” but they’re light, non-intrusive on the story, don’t talk down to the kids, and is likely the best example of this sort of thing I’ve ever seen in any “children’s media.” And good on the tour staff for offering sensory-friendly and sign language interpreted showings! To make a very long story short, if you or your kids are big Bluey fans (but mostly you - trust me, I get it), you’re in store for 50 minutes of it live and in person, and it’s a beautiful thing to behold. My praises can be showered upon the entire cast and crew, because they all are some of the most talented, passionate, creative, nice and all-around awesome people that walk this earth now. I anxiously anticipate the day they return to my area. (And if you were thinking of spending the extra money for the VIP meet-and-greet pass… GO FOR IT. The performers are all lovely people and the memories of getting to meet Bluey herself up close and personal are worth their weight in gold.)

    Could've been better.

by Mrs. Ross on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Only 50 minutes. Only the Bluey family and 1 other dog. My goodness. They could've brought the grandparents. Or the uncle and godmother. The kids liked it. But it was a disappointment after seeing the Paw Patrol. Felt like a regular episode on TV. Give the kids a little something more than what they would just see on TV.

    Bluey!

by Don on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Fantastic! I took all 6 of my kids aged 2 to 16 years and they all loved it. Even my wife and I were cheering along. We all loved seeing some of our favorite characters “for real”. Bluey always has positive messages for the whole family and now we have an even deeper connection with them. Awesome!

    Chaotic

by Danielle on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

So the play was only 45 minutes. It felt very unplanned. The plot seemed all over. Couldn’t hear very well. I wish I would have known it was only a 45 minute show prior to spending the money. There was a game of keepy uppy that was cute but I would skip this show in the future.

Sound quality and too short for the money.

by Jon M on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The show was ok, wasn't expecting puppeteers but they did a decent job. The sound quality was awful to hear the characters and my kids didn't really get the story due to this. For the money paid the show was way too short. Won't be going to this again unless there is some changes.

    Great Story. TOO short!

by TM on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The show was 40 minutes. It felt like watching an episode of Bluey.

    Short play for the cost

by BM on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The play was really well written. It felt as if you were watching the show. Bit for the amount we paid I was disappointed that the whole play was only 45 minutes.

    Not satisfied

by SH on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

First thing, they look very strange, having grown people moving puppets around it did not live live live up to my expectation of a kid performing it was too short, and it was not worth my money, and I’m very highly upset about losing money. I will never ever go to another Bluey perform.

    Fun time!!

by Carrie girl on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

My grandkids (ages 8&6) really enjoyed Blueys Big Play. However they both commented at the end that they wished it was longer (under an hour in length). But overall had a good time!!

    Meh

by Nick S on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

It was only like 45 minutes, hard to hear, no one would sit in their seat. It was not an amazing experience by any means.

Bluey at the Fox in Detroit

by Day on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The show was not that good. It made me, an adult, fall asleep during the show. The had two people to control each character, which was weird. As well as, the color of their uniform (costume) didn't even match the character they were controlling...it was doing to much. Not to mention how SHORT the performance was...which I didn't mind because I was ready to go by then. The only fun part was at the end when they sent out the large balls to mimic balloons for the shows game "Keepy Uppy". They need to do better!!

    Low Production and short

by Disappointed in Detroit on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The show was only about 40 minutes long and the production was low with people outside of the costumes puppeteering the life size characters. Which was distracting from the show because they weren’t dressed in clothing that blended into the background. I expected a little more.

    Bluey through a 2 year old’s eyes

by Nana on 4/1/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Bluey was entertaining and so much fun for the littles! It was so much fun watching the show through my grandson’s eyes! He was in awe of the Fox Theater and all the architecture.

Cute show but audio a problem

by Kim on 3/18/24Baton Rouge River Center Theater - Baton Rouge

Really cute show, however, audio was too loud. Many kids were covering ears. Could not understand what was being said especially when music was playing in background.

    Too Loud, Excluded Upper Level

    by MECO on 3/11/24

The audio of the play was extremely loud. It hurt my ears and my child kept her hands over her ears. Also, the people in the mezzanine/balcony were completely excluded from all the fun at the end when the lower seats got to enjoy bouncing around the giant rubber balls for "keepy-uppy". It was extremely disappointing for everyone on the upper level! My children kept asking why they didn't get to play too. Please think about ALL of your audience when doing something like this, especially when children are involved.

    Not worth my $200 tickets

by Katherine on 3/11/24Baton Rouge River Center Theater - Baton Rouge

The acoustics were horrible. I could not understand anything. The best part was when they threw the balls up at the end.
