Blue Öyster Cult is an American rock band formed in New York in 1967. The group is well known for three songs: The 1976 single "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" from the album Agents of Fortune, the 1981 single "Burnin' for You" from the album Fire of Unknown Origin, and "Godzilla" (1977) from Spectres . The band is a pioneer in heavy metal music both for its hard-edged musical assault and its use of sci-fi and occult imagery.

Fantastic show from America’s best Rock Band 🎸 The boys are showing no signs of slowing down!!!
Interesting that Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad fame was the opening act and had drummer surrounded with acoustic shield (sounded great btw even if the venue didn't know enough to turn out lights for a few minutes like he was doing a sound check or something!) Much time was spent transitioning between the acts and I thought back to my first concert down the road in Augusta Maine with BOC the headliners. They didn't have screens, light show, smoke, lasers, video projections or anything then either (just a Godzilla mask for drummer, replaced by green lights for this show) Bare bones rock and roll for a 4/5 filled auditorium on a Thursday night in November. Some lack of tightness here and there and a couple notes hard to hit, but overall did not disappoint. Burnin for you seemed a bit out of sync with guitar fills out of time and a solo that sounded like an afterthought , like yeah we have to play this song but it's not our fav so we're not going to kill ourselves. Made up for that with the most amazing guitar solo I've heard on stage Then Came the Last Days of May, holy hell was it awesome, especially Richie Castellanos contribution. Don't Fear the Reaper is such a classic just to hear it performed live by the band that made it famous, timeless, was a treat...drummer needs to go over when the cymbal crashes come, especially at the end, seriously lost its punch and faded away even with added guitar work by Buck. Sadly much of the crowd which was quite supportive and on it throughout started to leave perhaps thinking this to be the end (hello, ever heard of an encore people??) Those left who had a clue yelled and clapped and the band came back to grace us with two more with same energy and rock and roll vigor despite the now 1/3 filled house. There aren't many acts left from my era that are still alive and touring, and have heard the ones that are, Aerosmith, Squeeze, Paul, Elton, Pat, Kansas, so happy to add BOC to the list. Transmaniacon MC That Was Me Before the Kiss, a Redcap Golden Age of Leather Burnin' for You Harvest Moon Cagey Cretins The Vigil ME 262 Train True (Lennie's Song) Tainted Blood Then Came the Last Days of May (with extended guitar solos by Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser and Richie Castellano~kicked ass! ) Godzilla (Don't Fear) The Reaper Encore: Cities on Flame With Rock and Roll Hot Rails to Hell
It was a great experience and the venue was perfect.
Grand Funk and BOC were great and the acoustics nice! Not so for the venue. They wouldn't sell me a light beer even though I'm 66 years old with a white mustache!!! My ID was in the car and they wouldn't let me go get it and come back! What a joke! Not happy!! Won't be back there again.
Sound very distorted and unable to understand anything the lead singer was singing
Wasn't impressed. Sound was not clear. No monitors. Had seen them once before....maybe 10 years ago. Not very exciting to watch...not much of light show or anything. Found myself being bored. Bit disappointing.
Maybe it's the infusion of "new" and younger people, maybe it's that Eric seems so comfortable in his own skin and Buck has become a virtuoso -- dunno, but these guys were tighter and more creative and more powerful and more energized than 20 years ago when I'd last seen them (original line-up). Superb, superb, superb. Can't tell you how much fun this was.
Excellent show and some of the best guitar jamming I've heard in a very long time! Very powerful performance.
Terrible sound ,no big screens, building was cold . This was the worst concert I've been to a the cross center.
I last saw Blue Oyster in 1977. 45 years ago. They played just as good if not better on 10 November 2022! Keep on tour forever Blue Oyster Cult 🎵
Both bands did a great job and they played everything I was hoping to hear!
The music was awesome. Blue Oyster Cult was absolutely fantastic. My wife and i had originally had nose bleed seats but for some reason we scanned in the red so we were actually upgrated to floor seats...so cool
It was a great show! Blue Oyster Cult put on an amazing show. Harmony was incredible along with impeccable music playing! It was a great surprise to see Grand Funk Railroad open the show. Both bands rocked the house! The sound was awesome!
Let after two songs. Lowest budget show I've seen. I have seen bar bands that were better
Great show by Blue Oyster Cult. They did not disappoint us at all. Vocals were great and the guitar playing was amazing. Thanks for a great show.
Great band even though there are only 2 original members left and they are in their 70s. After 50 years they can still rock it out, get the crowd on their feet, and play some of the best music on the planet. Don't Fear The Reaper is a seminole hit that never gets old. After 50 years of play, its only getting better and better. "More Cowbell" has become legendary!! BOC....We are still "Burning For You"!! ROCK ON!!!!
The show started with Mark Farner and he was SUPER!!!!! BOC was SUPER too! Buck Dharma, FANTASTIC guitarist! The whole show was just FANTASTIC!
Blue Öyster Cult was amazing. I saw them in 1979 with Black Sabbath at the Nassau coliseum.that was my first concert at an arena.Blue Öyster Cult is one of the most underrated bands you will ever see live. MARK FARNER WAS also awesome And underrated. Had a great time with my cousins. Thanks for a great show
Great show first with the Dictators and Albert Bouchard opening up for my BOC and as usual the oyster boys did not disappoint. Always a great thing when they throw some rarities into the lineup but I was also hoping they opened with the video montage they did for the three anniversary shows they did in NYC back in September. I really enjoyed that celebratory video of their 50 year career intro to those shows. Although the vid could have and should have been a bit longer spanning they’re illustrious “career of evil”
