Completely entertaining and quite exciting, enjoyed every minute.
We have seen the Blue Men in Vegas and now their road show in Portland. Both events were outstanding! A truly entertaining event. The Vegas show is the better of the two due to the size of the stage and having more drums and drummers backing up the boys.
The show is great for those who are seeing it for the first time; lots of lights, techno effects and sound. However, for those who may have seen it before, it's pretty much the same old, same old. It just doesn't have the spark that makes one want to see it again like you might a really good play.
The BMG was a fun "adult play time" event, as it was billed. I would definitely like to see more just splashing of the paint as they play the tubes/drums, etc. But the entertainment is good.
My wife and I enjoyed the show. Very inventive and entertaining. I don't know if it is the performers or the venue that requires the sound to be so loud as to harm one's hearing. We have attended other performances at Keller auditorium and found the sound level to be so loud as to be painful. In the future we will bring ear plugs to assuage the volume. Still it was a good performance
Too slow. Not a fan of mutes/mimes. Music was good.
The show was fantastic. I saw them in Chicago about six years ago and was amazed. This program embodied some of the same techniques but in a slightly different way. The audience participation is great. Really loved the "Rock Music Moves." And the big balls at the end made me feel like I was a kid again and attending a music event. I'm over 60. I never get tired of good, clean fun and musical skill like that of the Blue Man Group.
I love Cirque de So lei but this Blue Man show was not worth $100 a ticket.
Visuals are amazing, sound is awesome, best of all is the constant sense of humor the Blues carry throughout. A thrilling, tender, hilarious, wild show.
I enjoyed all the audience participation stuff. The rock band part was fun - we all pumped our arms, waved our hands around, etc. Great energy! I also enjoyed the older woman on stage during the twinkie sketch. It was hilarious. I wasn't so sure about the guy being painted - that was rather weird. The only thing that would have made it better is if they used the large screen to show the Blue Man group faces all the time. I didn't have binoculars so I couldn't see the expressions but i could kind of guess. It was a really good show.
OUTSTANDING!!! VERY FUN!!!! DON'T MISS IT.It's agreat show.
The show was great! I have seen them before. However; there were too many skits, and random crowd stares. I went there to listen to them, they are musicians as much as they are comedians. The show was 10 percent music, 90 percent skits and comedy, I was disappointed in the lack of music presented in the show :( I still however enjoyed the show.
love the show . My one problem is you can not read the paramount theater seating chart well at all I was under the impression I was close to the frount but we where up on mz1. All I ask is it to be more clear. The show was for a special occasion I had hoped to be closer. The show it self was wonderful.
Great show, would def see it again. I will say if you can, get the good seats, you may get the opportunity to be apart of the show! Great music! fun family show, although I wouldn't bring small children because the music can be loud.
The show was amazing, funny, and jam packed. I don't want to give too much away, but you need to see this show!
They were great while playing an instrument. The bizarre twinky spit your food out stuff that took up time staring at a guest on stage for over 5 minutes could have been left out & was a time waster. Still would recommend show to a friend as overall good & different experience to do once in your lifetime.
I have never gone to see the Blue Man Group before. I am glad I finally did. The show had a lot of energy. There were quite a few amusing scenes. The music was really good. The special effects were great too.
the event itself was great! The seating, however, was a-okay. We sat on the mezzanine level- there were alot of things we saw with limited viewing. For example, some parts of the show had screens in the background for visual effects (rock star movements), the view was cut off from our seats. The screen could be lowered a little bit, or the set redesigned a little bit to include viewers from the mezzanine level.
Great performance and great fun. They know how to entertain. EVerything was good--the techno stuff was amazing, the comedy was timed well, the drum music very catchy. They drew the crowd in and got them involved. We want to go again.
