Blue Man Group is best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows and concerts which combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment. Although it is impossible to describe, people of all ages agree that Blue Man Group's show is an intensely exciting and wildly outrageous experience that leaves the entire audience in a blissful, euphoric state. With no spoken language, Blue Man Group is perfect for people of all ages, languages, and cultures. Currently their theatrical shows can be seen in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando, Berlin, and on tour across the U.S.
This is exactly the same show as they do in Vegas, but without the benefit of a permanent set/theater built specifically for the show. Outdated, too short and haven’t added anything new since I last saw them 15 years ago.
Only get tickets on the floor, we missed about 20% of the show as we could not see what was going on under us from the balcony seats
BMG is great in an intimate theater like Briar Steet in Chicago. It gets lost in a palace like the Paramount in Seattle.
I would have liked to see the drum bone performance. We would have liked to purchase a memorabilia products such a T-shirt or so. We loved the Paramount theatre! The building is one of the kind!
The show was entertaining, at least the parts we could see. Its great they have so much audience participation, however, from where we were seated we couldnt see what was going on below us. They really shouldnt have sold the tickets in the upper balcony where we were seated. Im sure it would be a great show in a different theatre or with different seating.
The show was amazing! They did so many different things within an hour and a half's time.
I've seen them before. They add a lot of variety that makes it fun show. Some of the "instruments" they played were a bit monotonous/boring.
Too many skits- not enough music- the skits were long & lost my attention
Having seen Blue Man Group before, I was very much looking forward to seeing them again and bringing my kids along. Unfortunately E.J. Thomas Hall is just way too large for a show that relies so much on audience interaction and mime. The folks in the pricier seats on the floor level likely enjoyed it a lot, but in the balcony we felt very much left out. I'd like to see them again, but in a much smaller space.
This was such a spectacularly entertaining and fun show! I bought tickets on a whim and very last second. I would definitely seek the show out to see it again if they came back!
Held my attention, even on a work night! Great music, visuals, and humor. Glad we went.
Great show. The only downside, the show started 10 minutes late and we wasn't able to get into our seats until 5 minutes before the show
This was the first time seeing the performance and I was NOT let down! From start to finish, they packed the show full of comedy! The Virtual Reality skit was genius!
We went to see Blue Man group at Clowes Memorial Hall for our first time ever. It was fun, interactive, entertaining and amazing! We enjoyed our selves and would recommend everyone to go if they can.
My husband and I have seen Blue Man Group before and had the best time. This year, we decided yo share yhe experience with our 9 year old son, and our 14 year old daughter who is a percussionist. They both were laughing out loud. My son complained at one point that it was too loud when they were playing their instruments, but he was so caught up in the event that he immediately forgot. I recommend this show to anyone, regardless of age. We sat two rows from the stage - close enough to get a good view, but far enough to not need rain ponchos.
Saw them 7 years ago in Orlando, Florida. Comical, great music with focus on their drumming, very interactive, they like to involve the audience. Lots of fun, great for all ages.
This was my first time at a blue man group show and it was AMAZING!! Such a great show and so many things to see!! Can’t wait to see them again
The show was somewhat of a letdown from 2 others i saw. Only an hour and fifteen minutes. There should have.more percussion music. Venue was great!
Third time seeing the show, and I blame COVID for the current production. I took my middle child, who saw the first performance at IU when Blue Man Group came to town. She even said it was lacking and seemed more like a drumline production than comedy/art as it was the first time. The end was also not nearly as exciting with such a short run time of the show overall. The sound, while loud, was not painful, but the booming reverberation was a bit much and could have been reigned in to a tighter response. It will be our last time attending this production at IU Auditorium, but we will try to see a different one in the future.
