  • Blacktop Mojo, Liv N' Brilliant Must Sees!

by Litelisa on 10/27/21Wally's Pub - HamptonRating: 5 out of 5

Capping off a 7-song set with 'Bleed Me Dry', Liv N' Brilliant from Oguinquit, ME shook Wally's Pub from top to bottom with hard-hitting originals as great as any New England band in decades. They were THE opening band of opening bands. But not for long, because this band is heading straight to the top! Blacktop Mojo lit Wally's on fire with rocker after rocker plus a mid-show acoustic set that included a trip to Motown with a hot remix of 'My Girl.' Their music is a little bit of everything and they played a little bit of all of it - from the blues-tinged, "It Won't Last", to the grungier "Come Get Your Coat" and the metal bite of songs like "Do It For the Money." If that wasn't enough meat on the bones, the band also performed their rock ballads, "Why" and "Tail Lights." Do not be mistaken though. This band is beards, beer and badassness. The energy this band puts off is controlled chaos - and it's powerful and beautiful at once. Jaws dropped when bass player Matt Curtis sang in harmony with Matt James - woop - it was perfection. Leading the motley crew is singer Matt James. And the guy can sing anything. Not only can he, but he did, wrapping the show with Aerosmith's "Dream On" - on key, scream and all - to put a final flawless stomp on the crowd. See them!!

  • Great venue!

by Ray on 10/25/21Wally's Pub - HamptonRating: 4 out of 5

Wallys is a great venue to see your favorite bands up close and personal! Good food, great service. If i had one complaint it would be to have better security near the stage not just the front door.

Glad to hear the real music once again. The vocals are the best. He’s amazing and the rest of the band are so theatrical, awesome.

  • Mojo Working!!!

by Cal64 on 2/10/20The Parish at House of Blues Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

Blacktop Mojo are a great live band. They have superb albums of modern/classic/blues rock. They put on a fantastic, energetic gig at HOB, Anaheim, a very basic venue selling beer at 5 times the price it should be. Shocking that a venue can charge almost the same price for a beer as the ticket costs! Anyway, top marks to the band, 1 out of 10 for the greedy venue.

  • Fantastic!!!

by Jay & Connie Isais on 2/6/20The Parish at House of Blues Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

Love everything about this band! We have been following them on social media and have all their albums, just waiting for them to book some shows in California. Even though the crowd was small on a Monday night following the Superbowl, they really brought it and played with 150% energy and commitment. We have seen a lot of big name headliners over the years and these guys could take the stage with any of them and hold their own. Super professional and polished from start to finish, they rocked the Parish hard! Go see Blacktop Mojo if you have the chance. You won't be disappointed. We can't wait for the next time!

Blacktop Mojo played a fantastic set at the Masquerade Purgatory in Atlanta! This band’s energy on stage is infectious, and musically they were very tight with studio-like precision. Love the hard rock with a soulful, bluesy feel that they emote. Would see them again without question! šŸ¤˜šŸ¼šŸ¤˜šŸ¼

  • ROCK HARD

by APurnell on 11/9/19A and R Music Bar - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

A&R music bar is deff a small little club. Pretty decent acoustics though. Opening bands sucked to be honest. The sound horrendous. If it was a house sound guy then he needs to be replaced. Blacktop Mono has their own sound guy and you could definitely tell he knew his shit. Levels were great from the jump. The pipes on blacktops lead singer are mind blowing. He sounds great with acoustic guitar behind him and even better with full backing band. All in all they were worth the wait suffering through the openers.
