I was extremely disappointed and frustrated because I had to keep getting up and getting stepped on by the people in my row who had to keep getting more alcohol. They were so drunk by the time that Blackhawk came on that they chose to stand up and dance, blocking mine and my husband’s view. I had seen Orianthi there and it was wonderful, so I was not expecting this chaos. The first two rows seemed to personally know the opening band and acted like their groupies. I ran out of patience by the 5th Blackhawk song because there was nowhere I could go that I could see them clearly, so I told my husband to get up and we left. I did ask an employee on the way out if it was like that at all of the country artists shows and she told me that it was, so I will never buy tickets to another country concert. I despise drunkenness and all I could think was “how many of these people are going to leave here that intoxicated and get behind a wheel?” It enraged me because there was no respect or appreciation of the music or those of us who were there for only the music. It felt like being at a bar with an unknown band playing, not one that had been around for decades.
Ludlow Garage is a nice intimate setting for a concert. Blackhawk was excellent, played all their hits and Henry Paul sounded amazing!
My husband and I saw them a few months ago and it was hands down the best show we have been to. They may have changed looks wise but the vocals were still spot on and sounded the exact same. If they ever come back around Tampa they will definitely be a must see again. 5 out of 5 stars.
Wow I saw Blackhawk for the first time 2 months ago. Let me tell you they were so awesome! They have that sound that no other band has. I had goosebumps the whole show. I was just in awe. Thank you Blackhawk!
Sounded really good and played all the hits, what more could you ask for!
Blackhawk always rocks!! Keep it rolling Henry Paul and Dave Robbins!!
Played continually no chit chat sounded just like they did 30+ years ago
Just as great as they were in the 90's.............
Venue was amazing. Very intimate, comfy seats, low drink prices and overall great place. Blackhawk was no different today than in 1995!
This group just never ceases to amaze me. They come ready to entertain every time I've seen them since 1997. Their vocals couldn't be any better. Henry Paul seems ageless. If anything, his voice gets better with time. Their setlist contains a perfect blend of older and newer songs. High energy, great vocals and articulate guitar work make Blackhawk a must see for any country rock fan. I drove three hours to see them, and would have been willing to drive much further. The nights entertainment would have been a great deal at twice the price. Can't wait to see them again! If you're lucky enough to be near one of their shows, don't miss it. I promise you, you will not be sorry!!!!
These guys bring it. Been listening to some of their music lately, and jumped at the chance to experience them live. I was not disappointed !
Blackhawk is an Amazing Band!!! They're Very Talented and Very Sweet Guys. I have had the Pleasure of seeing them numerous times and this time Friday the 13th at Turning Stone Casino was Wonderful as Always. They are a 30 year old band but you wouldn't know it. CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT TIME!!!
The Blackhawk concert at Turning Stone Casino was fantastic. The group played a number of their hits. Musically they sounded great. There was a lot of energy from start to finish. Definitely would recommend if you get a chance to see them do it.
It was a well awaited concert and was everything you would expect from this group of musicians ! Absolutely amazing show ! Hope they plan on coming back again and again!
GREAT SHOW - GREAT VENUE - WOULD GO SEE AGAIN, BROGHT BACK GREAT MEMORIES
Blackhawk sounded as good as ever. They played all the songs we hoped to hear. The venue however was disorganized and communication sucked. We showed up early for the concert based on the time posted on the tickets. Once we got inside we waited for an hour AFTER the ticket time before the unannounced opening act came out. Then another 15-20 minute wait before Blackhawk finally made an appearance. And the whole time WE WERE STANDING!! We stood for over 2 hours before the concert began. Had the venue communicated actual concert time then we could have planned our arrival differently.
Amazing show. I would see them 10 times a year. My all time favorite country band.
They still have it after all these years that I’ve been enjoying their music! Fun concert! Loved the opening act, however, I am a little biased. Glad we had the opportunity to see them live!
Doors opened at 7pm. Opening act Zack Williams took the stage at around 8. Blackhawk took the stage at 9pm. Long time standing to get close to the stage. Large, enthusiastic crowd, Blackhawk sounded great. Played all their hits and a couple of new songs for an upcoming album. Blackhawk finished at 10:30pm.
