BLACK PISTOL FIRE IN CONCERT:
Hard-hitting blues rock duo Black Pistol Fire has been wowing crowds and steadily building a devoted fanbase since they got started in 2010. The group scorches through their amped-up blues with a punk rock fervor in concert, doling out fuzzy guitar riffs and booming drum fills that get crowds headbanging along with their furious tunes. Guitarist/singer Kevin McKeown delivers passionate solos in between his howled verses, and drummer Eric Owen keeps their fiery jams firing on all cylinders with his energetic, intricate beats. Black Pistol Fire don't hold back during their explosive live shows, and ticket buyers will love every heart-pounding second of their sets as they tear through favorites "Hipster Shakes", "Run Rabbit Run", and "Bad Blood".
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Kevin McKeown and Eric Owen have been friends since their kindergarten days in Toronto. The two began their musical collaboration in high school playing in various bands and covering popular alternative groups like Weezer. After relocating to Austin, TX in 2010, the duo adopted the name Black Pistol Fire and switched their focus to hard rocking blues and R&B. They released a self-titled debut album in 2011 and picked up steam the following year with their sophomore LP Big Beat '59, and in 2013 they blew fans away at SXSW with a performance that led Huffington Post to label the group the "next big thing" in their festival wrap-up. After thrilling fans with the release of their third album Hush and Howl in 2014, they reached an even wider audience by touring with Wolfmother. Black Pistol Fire continue to deliver the same high-energy sound in both their rocking live shows and gripping records – including 2016's Don't Wake the Riot.

BPF never disappoints and always sounds phenomenal!
Amazing show! So. Much. Energy! Welles was the perfect opener and BPF never disappoints...hope they come back again and again!
Love the venue, great band that always continues to meet and exceed expectations for a live show
Awesome show! Great set list and energetic performance. A “must see” show that I “must see again!”
Destroyed it at Emo’s! Can’t wait until they play again back home in ATX
Love the band. Great venue too. Would definitely recommend
The venue was excellent. Smaller, but very comfortable. It’s located in a neat part of St Louis. Black Pistol Fire, was excellent. They blew me away. I liked their music already, but the energy in their performance was top notch. It really excited the crowd. Overall it was an excellent time
Didn’t realize BPF is only two guys, which makes their sound that much more impressive. Love their blues-y sound and they rocked it the whole show. Played for a long time too.
One of the best shows I've ever seen they are absolutely amazing live and they're too underrated they should be as big as the Black Keys I absolutely adore them
Lively as hell! Rocking show. I've seen them twice now and they're awesome every time
I love these guys! I have seen them twice now, once in Arizona and now I’m Baltimore. They always come out full steam and put on a show that I never will forget. It’s like they are playing at Madison square garden every time I see them. I wish the crowd got more into it though.
Brought more energy than four people could have. 11/10. Will see again.
These guys hit the highest intensity of any band out there. A fantastic act that brings it, full energy and passion for every song.
Went to see ZZ Ward last night only to be blow away by Black Pistol Fire. Great guitar work and energy was off the charts. Crowd was totally engaged and really enjoyed these guys. Can't wait until they swing back through Philly!
Great live act. Third time seeing them and blown away every time. All live acts should have this much energy
Best band to see play live right now. Their albums are ALL top notch and their live show is unreal!!
So much fun seeing this band live! The smaller venues are better! They rock hard & loud! I have loved this band since the first night we saw them opening up for Gary Clark Jr. So glad they love Philly as well and keep coming back! I see them every time they do! I will never miss a Black Pistol Fire show!
They put on an awesome show! Tons of energy, played great, and added a lot of extra parts to songs. Being such a small venue was really awesome as well!
They were amazing live. I definitely would see them again
These guys are unbelievable...like a modern dose of Led Zeppelin meets the Black Keys. The energy they put into their shows is off the charts and damn are they talented.
