Black Label Society are the ongoing musical creation of infamous guitarist Zakk Wylde, who was plucked from obscurity by Ozzy Osbourne in 1987 and soon became a household name among heavy metal enthusiasts. Black Label Society were formed in 1998 after Wylde split from Ozzy and company. They recently released Unblackened, a live CD/DVD featuring a batch of stripped-down versions of their songs. The CD contains six bonus tracks, including covers of "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers and "A Song For You" by Leon Russell. Concerts give ticket holders plenty of bang for their buck. The band is a world-class live act, dishing out powerful sets of blues-based rock and metal songs fueled by Wylde's unmistakable guitar work and vocals. The band's recent unplugged-style concert performances may hint to a mellower approach in the future.
By the time Wylde embarked upon and struck out on his own solo career, he was a well-established name in the rock community. This eventually allowed him to achieve stand-alone success with the formation of Black Label Society and the debut album, Sonic Brew. Eight more albums, along with subsequent tours, were to follow. Their most popular studio release was Order Of The Black, which hit shelves in August 2010 and reached No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The band has another studio album that is set for release sometime in 2014. Whether it will rediscover the band's hard rocking roots or continue in the mellower vein is a mystery. Based on the band's history, it's anyone's guess.

I liked that venue is large enough to avoid crowd. Easy access to restrooms and beverage centers. Of course BLS was amazing and sounded great
Had 4 tickets to see concert for almost a year. We went all happy excited get there get on line give them paperwork, they tell 3 of us we couldn’t enter cause we where only 85 percent not 92 percent. We couldn’t believe it really pissed. The one friend he was fine he goes in. The 3 of us went home pissed we left the other one there. It’s pathetic honestly you spend money for a concert or whatever then you can’t get in. Well that’s what’s going to happen more and more people are going to be turned away you’s are going to go out of busisness
The show was great but I paid for 2 front row tickets at $202.00 each and they changed it to GA , the guy standing next to me paid $35.00 , not a very good thing to do to people , I feel a refund is due
Black Label Society was awesome! Super high energy set that had the crowd fired up throughout! Zakinthos the Jersey Boy did his home state proud! Excellent value for tickets, 3 bands for reasonable $. Wellmont is excellent venue for shows!
Zakk never disappoints! He always puts on a show with stuff, solos and so much more. He honors the people who came and paid to see him and he always puts on a show. For as long as I can, I will keep going to his shows.
The range & musicianship of this band makes anyone who sees them live a fan. Zakk & Dario’s axe 🎸 work is so amazing & they made sure to dab to Vinnie & Dimebag as they always do. Having the chance to see them every tour is a must & the Wellmont theatre venue makes any seat up close & personal.
Great sound and amazing performance by black label society
All the bands were awesome. I was never a big death metal fan but I have to say after seeing Obituary live they now have a new fan! Sounds was great at the wellmont. See you guys soon!
Amazing performance 🤘🏼Zakk Wilde is a beast and Obituary is undeniably one of the best Death Metal bands/Prong is always fun to see live they’re always at their best 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Had an amazing time. Zakk Wylde is an amazing personable guy. First thing he does is come up and give you a hug and a handshake and ask how you're doing. Made you feel like family welcomed you in to the inner circle and treats everyone with nothing but respect. Would definitely go back and meet him again
Very fun concert but way too loud to consistently enjoy ; I was disappointed from that ; it took away from his tremendous ability and artistry. Three days later after wearing ear plugs I still feel it
Great show. Staff at venue was very good Staff at Irving plaza made the meet and greet experience great. Very organized
Never have seen Ozzy or Sabbath or Zakk for that matter but Goddamned if that wasn’t one of the most high octane, bone rattling, ear busting, exciting, chill inducing concerts I’ve ever been to. BLS is a class act all around, top notch musicians, Zakk absolutely inspired. And the crowd had a surprisingly welcoming, brotherhood vibe that looked out for each other. The music was what you know on the record, dialed up to 11. Could see this man and any band he’s in every night if I could.
Everything was very organized, and you know is BLS got to be an awesome experience
Did the meet and greet with BLS. Awesome guys! A great night. Staff was pretty good also.
Epic my son and I only went in for obituary and black label small venue in reading pa but it’s awesome for a more intimate show you could see from everywhere obituary is legendary and I don’t even have to say how good zack
Seeing a show a small venue is awesome. Parking was cheap, easy in and out. Food and drink prices were very reasonable.
BLS was the perfect date night! We enjoyed the show.
Having gone nearly two years without attending an indoor concert, I'd have to say that the Black Label Society show at Bogart's on October 30, 2021 was a major stand-out. It was one of the most packed shows I'd ever been to at the venue, and for good reason. Prong and Obituary, neither of whom I'd seen before, both had really good sets, playing a variety of songs spanning their careers. Black Label Society was even better than I thought they'd be, and it was nice to finally see a full set from them. They did some major bangers along with a couple ballads, which I thought was a nice touch. All in all, the show was a great representation of some old guys who haven't lost their groove, or their youth.
